review for bark r boutique…read more Absolutely phenomenal service! Not at all sure why there aren't more 5 star reviews for this place. I brought my extremely anxious 3yr old GSD/Belgian Malinois here for her 2nd time at any grooming facility. The staff was absolutely lovely - making sure Stella was comfortable and not giving her too much attention until she accepted them. They sat with me and talked until she relaxed, then gave her 30min to an hour to settle before grooming after I'd left. They were able to trim her nails, which she doesn't let anyone do. They treated her so well and understood exactly how to handle a dog of her breed and wariness. I came back to a calm yet excited dog. Not scared, shaky, nervous, or anything negative towards employees. She is a dog of human-like intelligence and would make it clear if anyone had done anything to hurt her or make her uncomfortable. The groomers had taken their time with her and it was noticeable three hours after I'd dropped her off. I also would like to commend that they don't use leashes that tighten as the dog pulls. Stella's biggest issue has been pulling on the leash all her life. They used an adjustable collar on her that made me feel better about her ability to breath. All in all, an outstanding experience. $70 for a lovely grooming job, yummy smelling shampoo, a happy pooch, and peace of mind. Would recommend this place to anyone with any pet, especially those that worry about their precious baby the way I do.

Today a third baby chick has died from the ones we bought from this store, and it has been less…read morethan a week! We purchased 6 Mystic Onyx and 4 Smokey Pearl chicks on Saturday, April 9th, 2022. Two of the Mystic Onyx and 1 of the Smokey Pearls have died. One Mystic Onyx died the day after we got it. Baby chick death dates: Sunday 04/10/2022 (Mystic Onyx) Monday 04/11/2022 (Smokey Pearl) Tuesday 04/12/2022 (Mystic Onyx) My brother-in-law mentioned to me yesterday (04/11/2022) when the Smokey Pearl chick died that he thought it would have been one of the Mystic Onyx since it was gasping for air, as if it was having breathing issues/is sick (which I also observed a few chicks doing at the store when we were browsing. I only recall because I had made a comment to my husband saying it looked like the chick was choking on something.) Sure enough, the Mystic Onyx died today (04/12/2022). After the second chick death yesterday, I called asking what their policy was on the death of baby chicks and they said they can only possibly do something if there's a death within 24 hours of when COUNTRY STORE receives the baby chicks. Not within 24 hours of purchasing them! My mother-in-law already cut off the feathers near the butt and removed any poop that was stuck the day we got the baby chicks, so that is not the issue. They also have a food and water feeder in their coop where we keep a heat lamp above them. I called again this morning and was told the same thing by another worker, that they can't do anything about the situation and to purchase two more chicks than you want "because there tends to be fallout." We purchased 6 baby chicks (2 Welsummers, 2 Production Red & 2 Light Brahmas) from North 40 on Thursday, April 7th, 2022 and they are all still alive and healthy. It's upsetting that this has happened and we can't get a refund or new baby chicks. If anything I wouldn't even want new baby chicks from this store, and I do not recommend it. Even if Country Store refuses to do anything because of their lame policy in order to not lose any money, I would at the very least advise their company take better care of their chicks and check for health issues.

After almost two years as a loyal customer, I will NEVER bring my dog here again. I paid for…read morefull-service grooming and was extremely disappointed with both the results and the manager's response. Because I was working on the day of the appointment, my boyfriend dropped off my miniature poodle. He relayed my haircut instructions and showed the groomer a text I had written with additional details so there would be no confusion. I specifically requested that his paw pads be shaved. When my boyfriend picked him up and sent me a picture, his haircut looked cute, but his paw pads appeared completely untouched. I called to request a refund because I paid for a service that, from what I could see, had not been completed. The manager told me she had personally groomed my dog, insisted she had done his paws, and refused a refund. She offered to have me bring him back, but her rude, dismissive attitude made me unwilling to return. The most frustrating part was her attempt to blame my boyfriend. She told me she does not like female clients sending their husbands or boyfriends to drop off their dogs because, according to her, men never know how to describe anything. She said this happens all the time and claimed it was completely my boyfriend's fault. He literally showed her MY WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS, and she acknowledged reading them to me. She also claimed she followed the text. How can she acknowledge seeing exactly what I requested and then blame my boyfriend for failing to describe it? Her generalizations about her clients were insulting, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. I politely told her I would not be returning. When I asked to speak with the owner, she declined and told me she had flagged my account. Being treated this way for questioning whether a service was completed is beyond frustrating. I paid for full-service grooming and expected the requested work to be completed. I also expected a manager to address my concern respectfully. Instead, I got excuses, blame directed at my boyfriend, and an attitude that cost this business a customer of nearly two years. Absolutely unacceptable. Save your money and take your dog somewhere that respects its customers and takes responsibility when concerns are raised.
