I cannot express enough how much we appreciate Dee's and the love and care they show our dogs. We have 4 doodles who have complicated coats and most groomers hate them and you can tell by the quality of their work. Their groomer destroyed my spinone Italiano coat after being advised on the phone and when I dropped her off you do not cut or shave her .. when I picked her up up she was super fluffy from the bath and blowout she is wire haired double coated... the next morning I find a bald spot where the groomer cut a chunk down to the skin and her inside back legs shaved ... when I took her back to show why I was upset AL and Stephanie could not get their story straight Al says they didn't shave her and Stephanie says the groomer advised me when I picked her up which if they had I would never have paid them $105 and $20 cash tip and I would have raised a fit then and there ...when I asked for my money Al stated I cannot offer you your money back awful unprofessional and improperly trained groomers read more

Do not go to this groomer! There is new ownership and the quality has gone down dramatically. My Maltese-poodle had a long flowing tail that had half of the hair cut out at one appointment and then all of it cut off at a second appointment including the tip of her actual tail by their clippers. She was left with a bloody tail tip when I picked her up! Her hair was also uneven on the top of her head. The prices have gone up too. I will never go back! read more

This is a long review so here are the points- I was charged double the amount I should have for half a grooming and by Bridgette who is in training, I was treated terribly, and they hurt my dog. You can see below what he should like and what he does now. I have a border terrier which requires hand stripping. Bridgette told me she was learning how to hand strip. I made an appointment with her and loved how he looked. I payed $140 for my dog to be there worked on for 4 hours. They made me think they were the only ones in town who offered this service. She told me to come in once a month for tidying, but $140 a month was not something I could afford. So I waited 4 months until I thought his coat was ready again. 4 hours into the appointment I got a call from Bridgette saying that she could not complete his hair because his skin was turning pink and it wasn't the same as last time. Admittedly I was upset but kept my cool came and got my dog and she informed me that she felt bad so she gave me a discount at $140 instead of the $240 that it should have been. Wait did I miss something? 4 months later and you want to charge $100 more? I wanted to talk to the owner to discuss this, but I decided to do some research beforehand so I looked to see if other groomers offered hand stripping. I first called a groomer who has 18 years experience and she told me that my size dog would take her 1-2 hours and a max charge of $60 (that didn't include shampoo, teeth, gland expression which fees did include) when I told her my current groomer took 4 hours and still wasn't done she laughed. I called another groomer and when I mentioned Dees in a shocked tone he said oh no not them they probably don't even hand strip like it should be done (shows what reputation they have in the grooming community) call this other groomer. I called that groomer who has show titles and grooming competition titles under her name and she told me 1-2 hours $86 max. I then felt taken advantage of. Two professionals with experience are half the price of the trainee that I was going to. So I called for the owner after 3 messages and a week later I got a call back. Stephanie the owner and I had a very kind conversation. She was shocked to find out other groomers offered this service. Then she was shocked at their prices. I simply asked if I could pay her the hourly rate ($55/ hr) but at the 2 hours it should have taken and not the 4 hours it did take since Bridgette was training. Mind you, at this point I had paid for 8 hours of service and I was only asking for 2 hours paid back. I explained that I didn't feel it was my responsibility to pay for training. She said I wouldn't have to pay for my return visit for them to fix my dog that was only half groomed (oh and they don't take the dogs outside so he peed on himself in the kennel and they rinsed him off for me to take him home... wet). Ok... I just wanted him to look completely groomed. Now today I show up at 9am. The owner is not there, the mentor who was supposed to be there with Bridgette was not there. Bridgette with an upset face tells me that I was supposed to be there at 8 there was a "mix up". She has an appointment at 10. I told her that was the time the owner told me (I confirmed it with her 3 times and the guy the day before) she says well the guy yesterday said you were asking to change the time. I repeated word for word my conversation with him. She tells me well I can work on him for an hour but I'm not going to push it or hurt him since his hair isn't ready. Wait... you hurt him last time? She has no experience so instead of calling me last time to tell me we needed to wait a little longer she just went ahead. The other groomers told me that they would let me know when they thought his hair was ready. Very mad at this point I told her "no I'm taking my dog I live 30 min away and I'm not coming back in an hour and I will never come back here again" She said ok thanks Andrea does a great job! I slammed the door I was so mad. Update: Stephanie the owner called me and issued a refund and a sincere apology. Thank you for your time today read more

I've taken my 7lb chi/mix here twice and have a great experience. He is scared of almost everything and I really appreciate that they call me as soon as he's done so he doesn't have to hang out in a kennel long! They also make sure to not take him too far out of his comfort zone since he is easily scared. His hair cuts are $40-50 including his nail trim which I think is fair because I know he's a little difficult. I'm glad that I have found a place I feel comfortable taking my little guy! read more

Ive always had a really good experience coming here. Ive been here three times now, for my dads dog Lucy, and Lucy is a bit of a moody one. Sweet but just sassy if pressured to do something. First time she came in she was nervous she had a little big of a panic attic, you could tell from her breathing. I'd probably say they did something out of the ordinary or something unexpected while making her pretty that may have made the rest of the experience with doubt. However, we took her in the second time and when we got Lucy back she was calm and pleasant, and then this last time was the third time we brought her in, even the fella who grooms her stated that her whole attitude has changed and that she loves the experience. I would have to agree because as I was packing her up this last time she was ready and excited to go. I didn't have to go looking for her, once she saw her bag she knew what that meant. I'm happy to have found a great groomer for our Lucy. Her nails always look so nicely trimmed and she's not catching onto anything, nose, eyes, ears are always cleaned up. We don't live in the area, nor even that close but this place, the staff make it easy to come back, and now that Lucy enjoys coming in we've got our fourth appt booked in. read more

We brought in our 6 month old bernadoodle (Mac) on Wednesday 2/22/2023. We were quoted 95 and ended up getting charged 135 for "severe matting" which definitely was not the case. We asked for a normal trim, nail trim, wash, etc. When we picked him up they had entirely shaved his face, which we did not ask for and looks horrible. Including shaving off his whiskers. That wasn't even the worst of it though. When we got him home that day he kept licking his testicles and when he was laying on his belly we witnessed his testicles were bloody and irritated. I called the next day when I was able to while I was at work and was told I would get a call back. I never received a call. The next morning I was able to get a photo of it and called again. I finally received a call back at 4:00pm and spoke to a male (forget his name) who was extremely rude and questioning when I took the picture and telling me I waited too long to report it and the picture was not immediately after the groom so he couldn't confirm if it happened during the groom so he could do nothing. He was completely disrespectful and unprofessional and told me to leave a bad review if I would like. We had him looked at by a professional groomer who said it definitely is a razor/shaver burn from getting too close. So there you go! Hopefully we can prevent other owners from going through this. read more

After taking my two dogs here several times I would have given Dee's a 4-star. Not the best in the world, but good, and the price is very reasonable. The people are friendly. BUT the last time I took my dogs in one of them came back with very bad abrasions on his neck that I didn't notice until I got him home. I took him to the vet the next day, and they surmised that he had been pulling so hard on whatever they tethered him with that he ended up getting hurt. Mind you, my dog does NOT like groomers. However, if a dog is resisting so much that he hurts himself, I would expect the groomer to stop and call me so I could come to pick him up. I wouldn't have expected them to want to let him continue hurting himself! read more

People need to know Dee's has been sold and none of the previous groomers are there any longer. I took my dogs to Dee's for years and was always thrilled with what they did. But when I scheduled my dogs again, no one mentioned the old crew was gone. When I got them home, I noticed neither dog had her nails trimmed, one dog's hair was uneven on the leg and even had a small mat that had been missed. A friend took her dog in and Kate did a great job. But Kate left and is no longer there. So my friend scheduled with Stephanie. But when she arrived for the appointment, Stephanie was not there and with no notice, my friend was told the same person who did such a bad job with my dogs was taking Stephanie's dogs. As this was not acceptable, she tried to reschedule with Stephanie but they were looking out to January. This kind of thing NEVER happened with Dee and Tracy. The new owner is trading on Dee's past reputation and name which was great!!! Unfortunately, they are not living up to that reputation. Hopefully, they will improve things, but please watch the dates on these reviews to see if the 'old' Dee's or the 'new' Dee's is being reviewed. read more

I brought my dog here and when I came to pick up she had been pussing out the eye and couldn't even open her eye. I was advised to take her to the vet to find out she had clipper damage to the eye. We contacted the daughter of the owner since the owner is out of town and was talked down upon and wouldn't even let us speak. I strongly suggest not bringing your dog's here as they won't stand behind their mistakes if they are made. read more
