I love this little shop. I took our cats in for nail trims and I thought they were just cuddling them. Before I knew it, they were trimmed and ready. They also did cuts for my two long hair cats and trimmed my pups nails. They are super clean and it's so clear how much they love animals and working with them. I have been a customer to several businesses in this strip mall for years. And today I pulled into a parking spot. And as soon as my sister and myself stepped out of the car the owner to Bark & snip walked up and threatened to tow us if I wasn't there for her business. I told her that I was there for another business in this mall. She then told me she was the owner and would have me towed. I told her I would be ten minutes and that she could call and have me towed. My sister and myself proceeded to another business in the same mall. I spoke too 2 of the other businesses in the mall. One of the staff went to speak to the owner and inform her it is a shared parking lot. The owner instantly tried to deny that she would have me towed if I wasn't there for her business. As an adult as an owner of a business we should be able to own our mistakes apologize and learn from it. Instead of acting like a child and trying to put the blame on everyone but themselves. I was going to this place for several months and they did a great job. However, their professionalism is HORRIBLE!! Recently we had a bad snow day, and I get it, but they were over 15 minutes late for my appointment (that was scheduled 4 weeks prior) and there was a note on the door that said they might not be in. I still waited 15 minutes, because of the weather. When they called me, I asked if I could just bring her in at that time, due to their fault, and they said no. I told them that I could be there in 10 minutes and I was still told no. They said that they could get her in on Tuesday and I told her that I worked and couldn't do it. After a long conversation, they hung up on me. I'll never go back to them!! read more

I had a great experience here. Called and made an appointment with Robert for my brothers dog Charlie to be bathed, pampered, and groomed the next morning. The team is super friendly and really seems to love dogs and are very knowledgeable. For a full 3 hours of service, the cost was really reasonable and they did a great job with Charlie. I love bark and snip. They do a great job and most importantly they take responsibility when mistakes are made. I have been to other groomers that make you sign pages long "no fault" contracts. But bark and snip will do what is right if a mistake is made. They do a wonderful job grooming my sweet boys, and the girls there are just so lovely. I met someone that said this place was great. I took my pet in prior to my appointment to check out the place. I was comfortable with the place, so I made an appointment. We took our Schnauzer in and was assured that I would get my special requests that I was requesting. Well, when we picked him up....I was surprised to find that they did not do his belly, cut his skirt way to short, cut his legs wrong, cut his chest wrong, did not pay much attention to his ears, and... did not cut his nails like they said. They said they knew how to do schnauzers, but especially once I got home, I was even more disappointed. I needed to have a groomer this time as I was still recovering from a broken wrist. I had to try and fix my badly shaven dog once I got home and I was very unhappy. DON'T GO TO BARK AND SNIP! read more

Please correct/update your hours of operation. We had a great experience the first time we got our puppy's nails clipped. But I do have to confirm that your hours of op are flakey and seem to change all the time. If they have to vary, then please don't allow for walk-ins. read more

I think, maybe, when it comes to my dog I just expect better and have experienced better. Firstly, they did a great job with the bath. No qualms there. He is shiny, velvety soft, and they got rid of soooo much undercoat he'd been blowing out this summer. He's a 40# cattle dog/kelpie cross with relatively short hair but can shed like no other when the seasons change. He smells fresh and clean, without any overpowering perfume-y smells. Unfortunately every other aspect of this visit was between "meh" and "I'm not sure I'll ever come back." I can overlook misspelling my name, getting my dog's name wrong, and writing that he's a cat down in the appointment instead of accurate information because it turned out to not be a huge deal. They took him in the back when I brought him in, but didn't take much time to get to know him/me apart from two questions: "Is he here for a nail trim?" (and when they found out full grooming) "How is he?" He's a low-maintenance dog, easy to handle, but I felt a little rushed. I'm a neurotic dog mom who doesn't trust anyone who even looks at my dog, so I kind of like to even know the name of the person who's taking him away from me. I also got a very flippant "We'll call you whenever he's done.. in an hour. A few hours. Whatever". I've worked at a grooming facility so I know why even when a dog takes thirty minutes they block out one to two hours, but a more accurate estimate would have been nice. I bathe my dog, brush his teeth, and trim his nails regularly myself. I'd gotten a little lazy, though, and thought I'd rather take his long-ish, black-nailed self to the professionals. Now, I understand black nails are SUPER hard to cut. I get it. But they quicked him at least twice and didn't even bother to polish off/round the edges. I've never, ever had to specify to a groomer to smooth the edges of nails because they get sharp as HECK when you just clip them. I'd rather not have to come home and file the edges myself, but I had to anyway. (minus a star for that. just seems sloppy and unfinished.) Minus another star because the whites of his eyes are red and look irritated, like they got soap in them. He's been to a few other groomers and this has never happened, and I've never gotten soap in his eyes either. People make mistakes, and their hands slip, but partnered with other things it leaves me wondering. Not a fan of the fact that his leash was soaking wet when I picked him up either. Do they not have their own ties or cheap little leashes for bathing/grooming like every other groomer I've ever been to? Finally, what really made me want to write a review and might not have me come back, is that they essentially stole $10 from my friend. When I moved here she got me a gift card for Bark & Snip worth $50. My dog's appointment was only $40. It doesn't say on the gift card anywhere that if your grooming appointment isn't valued at $50 "too bad so sad we'll keep the money your friend spent anyway". When I called originally and asked about pricing they were happy to tell me if it wasn't worth the value I could pay the difference, but not that they would KEEP the difference. Maybe they just don't want to write something on it and initial it, but anywhere else you get a gift card for a place they let you keep the difference for your next visit. read more

Took my pug here for a nail trim and we were both very happy with the service. I was very happy with the price! Much better than other places. The gal was very friendly and the dog didn't even have a chance to get nervous like he does at other groomers and at the vet clinic. He was welcomed and pet immediately and the clipping was very pleasantly done will being quick, so the dog didn't feel like he needed to fight back at all. We are looking forward to using them for a full bath service soon. Parking was easy! read more

Best groomer I've found for my cat after 10 years looking. The staff is wonderful and they are honest and reasonable with pricing. I've been to many other groomers who keep changing their rates or worse, don't even know how to do a lion cut properly. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rachel. Not only does she share my name but she treats my dogs like they were her own. My deaf and blind Great Dane is a handful for a nail trim but Rachel is the sweetest with him. She's able to work with him despite throwing his big body around and is so unbelievably patient. She also worked with my little dog who is squirmy AF. Her nails were done is a second and that is a feat in itself. Let me start by saying that it hasn't been until the last three years that I've owned a type of dog (Shiz-Tzu/Poodle) that requires regular grooming, and my philosophy was that if it needed regular grooming, I didn't want it (it's my wife's dog). So my experience with groomers in general is perhaps less than many who own furry dogs that are always getting primped and preened, but I feel that I have had enough experience to have a solid opinion. Now on to bark & snip: They were recommended by a friend from church and fellow yelper. I have always been greeted by the twenty something staff or the owner herself. They always seem to be a bit busy, but they always seem to take the time to try to figure out what you want done with your dogs grooming. They are not the cleanest or fanciest of grooming options I've seen, but they do great work on my dog, and their prices are reasonable, after tip I'm usually looking at $40. My pups and I love Bark and Snip, in fact so much, that I moved from Spokane and still drive up from Corvallis Oregon to take them here. They do such a great job and they are so gentle and caring, especially with my 13 1/2 year old lab. My little terrier always comes out looking great and we love the extra touches, with the little hair bows and little bandanas around the neck. The do the best job by far, of any groomers I have gone to, and everyone is so welcoming and friendly. It was the first groomers I stopped at when I moved to Spokane a few years back, and I have never gone anywhere else. Worst experience with a small bussiness ever . I made a appointment to have my three dogs groomed.I marked in on my calendar as I was on the phone and also put it in my phones calendar. Was almost a month wait I also let them know if there was a cancelation or opening before hand i could be available as u was flexible and.close . I showed up for my 8:30 appointment at.8:21 to be told very rudely that I was late and would need to reschedule . I was stunned and she said my appointment was for 8:00 and said no and tried to show her my reminder and she wouldn't have it . She said i was over 15 minutes late and would have to reschedule. ?????? confused and concerned I tried to question the timing and she wasnt having it . Mostly confused that she had two dogs she was working on when I arrived that she was almost done with ..So my arrival time mattered how . My wife took my dog to get it groomed with the understanding that it would cost $45. When she went to pick her up they said it would be $65 and held my dog hostage till my wife paid the extra. The owner claimed they had to do extra. When I looked at my dog they had cut her skin while trimming her and they didn't even brush her out which is why we took her there in the first place. My dog was traumatized by these people. The lady told my wife that the extra money was for the extra work they had to do, But they didn't even do the work they were supposed to. When my wife called to complain about the job the owner said she was done talking about it. We won't go back I suggest you stay away. read more
