A great place for an outdoor lunch break, some exercise, playtime, or family time. I am so thankful that Irving has such a beautiful park with such an intentionally inclusive design. I hope that some future maintenance or re-design might be in the works for the restrooms which do not have functioning facets at this time and feature only one metal, latrine-style toilet which isn't very user-friendly. Apart from that, this park features great design, landscaping and offerings that make you feel you've retreated from the city a bit. I've never visited in the evenings--only afternoons but it's been pretty peaceful in those times.

I feel like often I go places and the small dog park is so tiny compared to the big. They do have some areas for shade, and a water feature for dogs to play in to cool off. Since it is a city park it is well maintained and kept clean. They also host cute little events for the pups on occasion with vendors and food trucks. So steps so you don't feel as dumb as I did lol, Walk around to the main entrance, there's only one entrance exit. Check in first. Get your day pass or membership (Honestly it's a great deal for everything you get!) I'd absolutely pay just because it's so clean and well taken care of! Then, grab your drink and head to the park section I not know did the opposite and couldn't open the gate (because you need your pass haha) and then I couldn't figure how to get back out I got the burger and crinkle cut friends it was decent better than fast food.
