Was not given all the info I needed. Was not told that I had to take both of the items out at the same time since they had been put on the same ticket. I came to pick them up and their system was down. Was told that I would not incurre added fees since it was not my fault that I couldn't pick them up. I go back to pick them up and I am told it doesn't matter when I pick them up. I am charged the interest to the end of the month. They were in the pawn shop for 2 weeks and I was charged a full month of interest. If I had been told all these things before I pawned it at least I would have known. This place is a very nice pawn shop. It is a lot quieter than others and the gun/gold selection has gotten a lot better recently. Ira was working and I bought glock 43 from him. He cut me a good deal and was very patient with me while I asked my million questions. He was also very knowledgeable. There was a female employee there too who was very friendly. I told her that I was waiting for Ira to ring me up and she still asked to help with my background check. This is a much needed update to my previous review: I wish negative stars were an option here, recently this location went through a change in management and since then it has gone way downhill. They guys who work here seem like they hate their jobs, they are rude and each time I have come into this store I was spoken to like I was an moron. They will tell you one thing over the phone and then totally change their story once you get into the store and proceed to imply that you're lying. If you really want to go through Pawn 1st, head over to the location on 19th Avenue and Bell Road, at least the guys there don't seem miserable. read more

I wanted to buy 2 watches from $10 tray. The guy pulled out the 2nd watch and it said $499. I said it's still $10 right and he says YES. Takes watches to the counter and proceeds to ring me up then asks manager Adrian to override 1 watch and goes to do the 2nd watch and says I can't sell this to you it was put in the wrong spot and walks away with watch. The manager should honor the price no matter what and find out who put the watch in that watch tray. Either way if employee had override codes he still would've given it to me for $10. read more

I've seen several roaches while browsing their items, cobwebs, wet floors, dirty floors, dirty countertops, a horrid smell, the employees all smelled like they haven't bathed, never again using this location. read more

This location has undergone a staffing change and have a group of fresh faces. Always having some type of sale or clearance on items keeps a good flow of new merchandise. NOT HAPPY I came in to pawn something that was worth about 3g. I received a small loan on it, something that would not be a problem paying back because this item was worth a lot to me and could be sold for much more., and while pawning I was told that I would receive a courtesy call when it was due. Never received the call, and it was sold 4 days after my due date. REALLY NOT COOL. NEVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS PAWN SHOP AGAIN. I understand it was my oversight, however, I was misinformed about the policy about courtesy calls. Maybe try having every employee on the same page so your customers don't expect a phone call. When you think about it, the pawn shop is greedy and wants to come up instead of get the 130% interest charge on loaning a couple hundred dollars. read more

If you plan to sell any of your things to a pawn store, do not go to this one. Depending on who you go through, you could be offered much more or much less for the same product. They do not hold up to their word when they offer you a price, and even write down a price guarantee so you can do your research and ask them to honor their original price guarantee after doing such research. The two people I dealt with were Jerry and Sam Hernandez (Mr. Hernandez seemed to be quite a bit more condescending than the other) I would highly suggest not dealing with either of these two individuals due to their lack of communication and lack of consideration towards their customers, that is if you even decide to go here at all. read more

Beware!!!! Beware!!! If your reading this you might be looking to pawn an article, in need of emergency cash. In which case I'm not sure this will be of much help. I do think you should know what your getting. If you are a musician, have a piece of gear, you need to pawn, KNOW THIS, if it is nice, the staff will be using it. Yes, they will tell you it doesn't happen at our store.. DON"T believe it!!! They will great you with a warm assuring smile, " your item is safe with us"... no , no its not. : ( I was in need of cash, (family loss). I pawned 3 vintage neuman microphones. The first time I did so. There was no problem. the Second time, YIKES!!! I first noticed they couldn't find two of my microphones. Hummm... how is this possible. (CARTONS WERE BOTH OPENED) On inspection the 'body's' of the mics were checked,(scratched and dinged.) Interesting because the manager and I had both inspected them on arrival with no such damage. When I discovered this, I didn't say anything at first. They still had yet another microphone in there possession. I quickly gathered the money to get the third unit. Too late... sadly... it too have being used. So, I ran tests on all 3 units. 2 of the capsals are damaged, only 1 survived. I brought this to the managers attention, he said next time 'I'll put them in the safe" , Really??? He said he had seen all types of things by employees,... ya, so where dose that leave me? two damaged original microphones that came in in pristine condition, now leaving damaged. If you are leaving anything you hope to see again, forget this company. Looking at the reviews of others I can see I am not alone. There are other pawn shops out there. If enough of us go to them maybe we can begin to shut these guys down. I hope my review helps someone who was unsure as to what you can expect from this company. I will be sending them the bill, which I am quite positive they will not be paying. Last I checked they are responsible for the acts of their agents/employees. I called this place in advance before coming here to get an estimate on a TV I had. Specifically I wanted to know how much it was and this is my story on this place. First off they didn't give me their name on the phone I don't know why but most do. I asked the man if they took my model of television by Insignia I was even trying to give them the model number so they knew what it was and if they could even look it up and know what they were looking at. However the man only asked what's the length of the TV and I told them which was a 26 inch TV and they told me they didn't have time to look it up cause they have a customer in line (found this disrespectful cause for one I may be on a phone but I'm a customer too and was first to talk to them before the other people) so I did ask since it was a 26 inch long TV how much would it be without a stand or remote? He told me no stand no remote and 26 inch long TV would bring me $25. So I later came into the store mind you that I had to lug it in the heat with no car at that and I brought it to the counter in hopes of that $25 the man told me on the phone. The lady who works here looks at it and says I'm sorry I can't take this TV it's too old. I explain to the lady exactly what transpired on the phone and so she brings her manager out and he takes a look at it and says the same thing and says the TV is too old. Now mind you they specifically did not ASK this question on the phone which they should of done. The manager says we mainly take TVs that are only 2013 and up because they have HDMI capatability. However my model of Insignia TV did have HDMI cable capatability and I showed them exactly where so they see it they look at me and they look at each other talking to themselves a bit quietly then looks at their computer and they look back at me. They then proceed to say Even though this TV has HDMI capatability I'm sorry but we can't take this TV because it's an old TV it's a 2007 and can only take 2013 and up models. So at this point I was disgusted and lied to not only on the phone but even to my face and I had to take it back with no other choices or option. I'm extremely disappointed with the staff and their actions it's very unprofessional and they should have better work ethics it's unacceptable especially to be lied to like that. I highly suggest not taking your business here they really don't know what they are doing or how to run a business on the phone let alone in person. read more

I have to say, I was a little nervous to come to a pawn shop and had never been till I came to Pawn 1st. I was referred by a friend. I had a bunch of jewelry that was left to me by my late grandma. Pawn 1st employees were very knowledgable, polite, were sensitive to my loss and didn't try to low ball me. I felt like I was being well taken care of. Don't ever go here!!! They will sell you broken stuff I promise ! First the computer they sold me is infected with many viruses causing it to be useless, then a air soft I bought was broken the clip was chipped a fit now cannot hold bbs I didn't even get to use it once , then my beats headphones were broke when I got them then proceeded to break a few days ago after having them for all less than 6 months everything was broke and broke even more after a small amount of use on 2 items.
