They were very professional, wrote detailed description of both pieces and sealed both pieces in a bag that they had me.sign to store in their safe until I paid back the loan and picked up.my jewelery. It was an easy process both getting the loan as well as picking up the pieces a month later when I was able.to payoff the loan plus fees and interest. So, I haven't set foot in a pawn shop in forever, and in my mind I was ready for the full "pack rat museum" experience, you know, shelves overflowing, piles of random treasures, maybe a lava lamp from the '70s next to a taxidermy raccoon wearing sunglasses. Instead? This place is shockingly clean, organized, and kind of... normal. Like, it looked like it had its life together, which frankly threw me off. Prices seemed reasonable, and the instruments caught my eye, including a mandolin that I now apparently "need" in my life. I was with a friend trying to handle a specific pawn-related task, but turns out their cutoff time for that is 5 p.m., so it was a no-go. Quick in, quick out. Not a ton to gawk at on the floor, but plenty in the display cases if you're feeling nosy. Never coming back here. I tried to sell some earbuds I had. Never used but they wouldn't take them since retail they were under 100 dollars. (They were 80 dollars retail) Before I even said something the woman helping me immediately said they look like a 3rd party not official ear buds from the company but I assured her they were but she wouldn't take them because of the retail value. I also tried to sell a silver ounce coin I had but was offered 25 dollars when the rate for silver is about 30 dollars for the ounce. Extremely disappointed based off of the reviews. The ring she ended up with is beautiful, and the price we paid was extremely reasonable. While their jewelry selection is not huge, what they do have is extremely nice. NP Pawn had an excellent selection of pistols, rifles, and shotguns, including the pistol I was looking for, which I snapped up. The price was low, and my salesman, Troy, was friendly and helpful. I drove over there yesterday (Weds 07/17/19) for the first time. What a Neat Store! I had a box full of stuff I wanted to sell, rather than pawn. It worked out great for me. We all know that pawn shops are a bridge that we have to use sometimes to dampen some type of financial woe. I usually pawn high quality goods so I can get what I need but the problem for me has been that my behind tightens up when I walk into some of these pawn shops! Not here, I was immediately relaxed when I put my goods up for pawn here. They not only have a wide selection of really cool products but everything was neatly shelved and not cluttered. The staff was immensely kind and informative. They explained my obligation in detail and gave me some insight on one of my favorite hobbies, hunting. Of course, I will return to retrieve my merchandise but I will also bring my wife because of the designer items they have. This will most likely be my "go to" store when I want to pawn something. I was really impressed with how things were displayed because you could see almost 360 degrees what was on sale there from the main counter. They also gave me a free dvd for my first visit. These people are dishonest. I bought a gun there. First, they did not apply the cost of the background check to the purchase price, as they stated when I ordered the background check. Also, when I picked out the gun today the price was $139.99 (plus tax). They were very nasty to me when I was making the purchase, so I did not stick around to look over the receipt. After I left I saw that they charged me $149.99 plus tax and they did not reduce the price by the cost of the background check. When I complained to them they just lied, saying I made a mistake (no mistake; it was right in front of me). Lying is their practice: I had seen guns in this shop several times for less than $150.00, but when I called they said 1) They almost never have have guns for less than $200.00 and they definitely would not again until [a date after I would have to pay again for a new background check]. read more
