Recently our pet sitter through Critter Sitters retired and we met with our new sitter one time. Everything seemed fine and we were scheduled to go out of town and had confirmed with the new sitter employed by Critter Sitters that everything was in order. Yesterday I asked for clarification about the billing since it seemed substantially higher with the new sitter over what we had paid previously - in response, I have been told that the sitter's schedule has changed and that I should seek care for my animals elsewhere. With little more than a week's notice, this was very unprofessional and disappointing to say the least. I've tried to communicate my experience to the owner of the company but the line has been busy for some time; will update this review if new information becomes available but sadly, I can no longer recommend this business and would seek care for pets elsewhere. Update: the owner responded and while appreciated, I find the way this situation was handled by Critter Sitters very unprofessional. I can include the text conversation for reference as I did not negotiate: I asked a question about a price difference between two different sitters employed by the same company, a difference of over 300 dollars. The only "policy" I see enforced or followed here is poor customer service.

Not only is this location far more convenient for us, but the staff has been consistently kind, attentive, and professional from the moment we walked in. Our dog, Simon, is usually the one who tells us how he feels about a boarding facility--his demeanor at drop-off and pickup says everything. He was happy going in and just as happy coming out, which speaks volumes. The team followed his medication regimen exactly as instructed, and when we called to check in during our trip, they immediately knew him by name and offered honest, thoughtful updates about his personality and behavior (he's more of a relaxed observer than an active playmate, which they picked up on right away). To top it off, the bath he received before pickup was excellent, and they even gave him a much-needed trim around his eyes--something we didn't expect but appreciated immensely. Olga met with me prior to the first time pet sitting to meet my dogs and cat - she spent a time getting to know them and learning their routines and care. The first time she cared from my group, it was unexpectedly cold and my dogs typically stay outside for the day. Olga altered her schedule so that she could come over extra times throughout the day since the dogs had to stay inside due to the cold. She kept in close contact with me on the weather and when she thought it was safe to let them stay out. Olga's love for animals is so apparent - I felt she cared from my group just as she would her own.
