I have been taking my dog and cat to this amazing animal clinic for 6 years. I cannot say enough about the doctors and the staff. They go above and beyond. The level of empathy and quality care are far above a 5 stars review. Prior to COVID and during COVID the quality of care has not changed. They've treated our pets for various illnesses and also for normal annual checkups and vaccines. I left each visit extremely pleased. I would say the prices are probably comparable to most vet offices. Just know that if you choose this clinic your pet is getting the best care though and you can't put a price on that.

Five star vet right here!!!!! The ladies at the front desk are always sweet, friendly, and…read moreresponsive. The lobby is always clean and if a dog makes it dirty they quickly clean it up. Now I cannot rave about our vet Dr Kaala enough. She takes her time, builds our dogs trust, and genuinely cares. From the moment she walks in the room, she is calm and kind, she gets on his level, and she takes her time to let him warm up. She is a wonderful example to her staff and sets a perfect tone. No matter how many times our dog walks away from her, she keeps her cool and encourages him back. She talks us through his care and makes sure all our questions are answered (yes we are those very involved dog parents). Dr Kaala is truly a gem and we are so grateful to have been recommended to go to her. We drive 40 minutes just go to Tiger Tails based of a recommendation from a friend who also drives that far! Dr Kaala is worth it and after two visits now we are clearly not going anywhere else.

Tiger Tails had been my dog's primary vet for at least 4 years. I brought my dog to Tiger Tails…read moreafter an emergency hospital visit the night before due to vomiting and fever. The emergency hospital had given him a fever-reducing shot that was supposed to last 24 hours. When we arrived at Tiger Tails first thing the next morning, we clearly told the staff and doctor about this and that it had only been 12 hours since it was given. The doctor took his temperature, did a quick checkup, and said he was fine -- then sent us home. We had pleaded that it was strange he wasn't eating or drinking and he was vomiting with hints of blood, but she kept insisting that he may have just ate something bad or just elder dog symptoms. Just 13 hours later, my dog passed away. I trusted Tiger Tails to take our concerns seriously and to monitor him properly after everything he had been through, but I feel that they dismissed his condition too easily. I am heartbroken and will never forget how this was handled. Please be cautious and make sure your pet gets the thorough care they deserve.

Having a multi pet household myself it can be very stressful when unexpected situations arise yet Lanier has been with me every step of the way to help facilitate our needs. Dropped off my baby for a simple haircut @11am, they did ask me how i wanted the haircut and i…read moreexplained she needed to be completely shaved off, she's super hairy. A LITTLE Pom Pom on the tail and very low on the legs. Well, if you look at the pictures, she didn't even get touched on the legs nor the head. Although i said leave a little, they didn't even touch those areas. I signed off a pre-estimate for $112 then they called my mom to say she needed this & she needed that bc they couldn't do the cut. Ok cool, didn't even mention how much, whatever. Then i pick her up AT 5PM, somehow they needed 6 HOURS to take care of a tiny cat, I've never in her 2yrs getting haircuts have to put her to sleep. Now my baby is wobbly around for the next 12hrs with a FUCKED UP haircut for $289, idc about spending on my baby but WTF, this was INSANE. On top of that, NO BATH. She came out as dirty and hairy and she went in. I'm extremely frustrated & disappointed. Very lovely staff but the prices are unfair.

I'm writing this review almost a year after my dog has fully recovered. It's been such an emotional…read morejourney but Dr. Whitehead at BluePearl saved my little furbaby and I'm forever grateful for him and the team at BluePearl! I co-parent both of my dogs and my previous partner had moved to GA and my two dogs also spent the first half of the year in GA and then back to CA with me. Unfortunately, 2-3 months after moving to GA, my Maltese started having health issues. I came to GA to visit my dogs and first noticed an extended belly on my Maltese and he would always have soft stool and at times constant diarrhea. My intuition told me something was not right and I took him to Ansley animal clinic. I was then referred by Dr. Spook to see Dr. Whitehead at BluePearl since he is the internal medicine doctor here. We went through tons of bloodwork, urine analysis, ultrasounds, x-rays and probably a few other tests that I'm forgetting. At first there were 3 possible issues my furbaby was facing and each test was to rule out the worst ones. At least, Dr. Whitehead confidently diagnosed my dog with IBD. He then explained the treatment plan for him and the next steps to take. My dog was then put on a steroid call Prednisone and some anti-diarrhea medication. This is where things got really bad...I flew back to CA while my dog was in GA with my previous partner and on his current treatment. Randomly, one day he stopped eating, became lethargic and his skin started to turn yellow. He was brought to BluePearl's ER 2x and did bloodwork both times but they found nothing. Finally, on the third visit to the ER, his lab work came back with EXTREMELY elevated liver and kidney levels. It was so high to the point where the ER doctor called me and said he would be dying in a day or two and there is nothing they could do. Can you imagine receiving this call while being thousands of miles away from your furbaby... I got on the next flight back to GA to say my goodbyes. At this point, I was very heartbroken and had to see him one last time. But miraculously, he was admitted and Dr. Whitehead started aggressive IV treatment for him to do everything he can. Slowly, over the next 4-5 days my little guy started to do better and better. He was discharged on the 5th day when his values were looking more normal and went home. At this point he was on 7 kinds of medication, had lost 2.5 lbs and was all skins and bones at 3lbs. Completely heartbreaking to see him in this state. I've since brought both of my dogs back to CA, where I continued to nurture my Maltese back to health. He started to slowly eat bigger meals again, I slowly took him off 6 medications that he no longer needed but kept him on the Prednisone to regulate the gut bacteria for his IBD. Fast forward almost a year later, my Maltese is completely weened off the Prednisone, eating full meals, playing, back to his old self and weighing a healthy 6lbs. I want to thank Dr. Whitehead TREMENDOUSLY, although we have not kept in touch since we've gotten back to CA. But to say Dr. Whitehead is an incredible veterinarian is an understatement. He was highly professional, honest, transparent and very goal driven to finding the best treatment for my dog. The staff at BluePearl were all very great to work with and very empathic throughout the entire time. No matter how many times I called to check on my dog, asked questions, they were so patient and kind. Unfortunately, I had to take away a star because the ER doctor that called me at 3am PST, really didn't sound like she cared about my dog and emotionlessly told me he was not going to make it.

I want to start by recognizing that the doctors and front desk who helped us were very kind,…read morecompassionate, and helpful when explaining my dog's diagnosis. They took the time to make sure we understood his condition, and after discussing his prognosis, we agreed that euthanasia would eventually be the most humane decision. We were incredibly grateful that they prescribed medication to give us another two weeks with him. That extra time meant so much to our family. Unfortunately, our experience when we returned two weeks later was extremely disappointing. The nurse who attended to us, a white woman with curly hair and glasses, was very rude and dismissive. When we asked if his vitals could be updated to see if there had been any improvement, we were genuinely hoping for some positive news before making our final decision. Instead, she responded, "You're going to have to wait, and if you want an exam, it's $190." She repeatedly emphasized how busy they were and that we would have to wait, despite it being very late at night with barely anyone there. Throughout the visit, she made it seem as though she was in a rush and simply wanted us to get the process over with. Her lack of patience and compassion made an already heartbreaking experience even harder. We understand that veterinary services have costs and that staff have responsibilities, but families facing the loss of a beloved pet deserve empathy and understanding. We were simply hoping our dog had improved before making one of the hardest decisions of our lives. I am truly thankful to the doctors for their kindness and for giving us two more weeks with our dog. However, the nurse's behavior left a very painful impression. I strongly believe management needs to address this individual and ensure that employees understand how to appropriately treat families during such difficult moments.
