Used to frequent this place 25 years ago. Excellent spot for a quick pick me up if you need coffee or even food. They have a decent floral department too! Easy to get in and out of and it's never too busy. Dropped by here one night to grab a soda and gum. Was in and out in a flash. Wouldn't hesitate to drop by again when in the area.

    The corn nicely trimmed.

I love the produce department, great selection, the team gave me the ultimate shopping experience. Helped me pick my summer fruit, melons, soft fruit, corn , and cherries. 8 am and everything look amazing tables loaded with fresh fruit, Mngo gave me a free sample of the freshly squeezed OJ it was delicious. Young bubba helped me with the melons.

Had a great experience. The staff were very helpful & friendly. Store was clean. Food was in good condition. Now the prices... that's the fault of inflation. I had no issues getting everything we needed.

As part of the Albertsons group. Vons has great weekly sales and store brand items (Signature). Get the flyer by Neil, online or at the store to get the best deals. Also get the app and get rewards for anything you buy. Many times you get special offers and free items. This store is nice and well lit. The customer service people are very helpful Plenty of parking!

I walked in and Lisa told me they had 1 Christmas dinner left. 1 meal left at 8:00pm. I was so happy. Got my meal, a drink, and a little dessert. The drawer I got were the TimTam cookies. They remind me of my first deployment when I would make trades for these cookies! I was stoked to see them there due to them not being in the US. Lisa warmed up my Christmas dinner for me due to my hotel not having a microwave. I walked back to my hotel so dang happy that I get to have a real meal and not a beef jerky from the gas station. Lisa didn't seem annoyed and was more than willing to make me feel welcome late at night when they wanted to close. The staff was also away from their family but was so willing to serve me. I got back to my hotel and opened up the food, it was one of the best Christmas dinners I have ever had. I felt like I was home the second I took that first bite. I am so grateful for this corner store. I am here in town for a bit, and I will continue to come to this establishment everyday until I leave.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The grocery options are very limited with no prices on many items which seems to be standard at establishments in this area. So...I opted to abandon my quest for fruit and sparkling water vs take the risk of buying a $10 orange. Yes, I know I could have asked about prices here and elsewhere but didn't want to be the stereotypical midwesterner visiting California and constantly exhibiting sticker shock! Anyway this is a great spot to drop in for a carry out sandwich!

From delicious food, to fresh produce, to the most gorgeous and vibrant flowers, to beautiful pottery, to unique clothes... you name it, they have it there! Make sure to come early as parking can be a bit tricky, especially if you want to park closer to the farmers' market. Once you get parked though, everything is a breeze. They even have tables and chairs around for people to eat at. There's also a playground for families who have little ones! I could never go to a farmers' market and leave without fresh flowers, so of course I had to pick up some from Hidalgo Flowers. They always have the most colorful and stunning arrangements, and for a decent price too. This time, I got a bunch with the prettiest sunflowers. We also picked up the sweetest and reddest strawberries from this one vendor. I highly regret not getting their name, but I will definitely be on the hunt for them the minute we go back. We got a cup of strawberries with some dark chocolate sauce from Strawberries and Chocolate. That was sooo good! We devoured it so quickly, we didn't even get to take a picture of it. One of the standouts for me was the Pork Sisig Rice from Baryo Eats. It was AHHHHMAZING!! It's the best kind of pork sisig that I love to eat--the taste was so good and nostalgic, it took me back to my college days back in the Philippines! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We also got some Paella from Driana Catering/Taste of Spain. It was so flavorful and the rice was cooked to perfection. We were just sad they ran out of shrimp by the time we got some, so we were left with chicken only. We got some goodies from It's Cafe Thai as well--Milk Tea with Boba, Taro Thai Coffee, and the Mango Sticky Rice. All of them had just the right amount of sweetness and hit the spot for us. Lastly, we had some of the watermelon and the cucumber lemonade refreshers, and the chicken and pork tamales from Gourmet Tamales. They were so good, we even took some home for later! Overall, I'm already looking forward to the next Sunday we can stop by this farmers' market!

If you're planning a beach holiday in this part of town, you will probably end up shopping at this exact convenience store. We got into town ahead of our friends, and they requested that we buy a couple of long-handled wood and plastic beach shovels for their kids. They sent us a picture and said they could never find them anywhere except at the beachside shops in La Jolla. We went on a little walk and immediately came across Neighbor-Saver, and sure enough, the shovels were there, right when we went in. The shop was big and well stocked, as clean and nice as it had to be and not even a little bit more. There were toys and apparel for sale, plus all the standard convenience store items and a counter for Thrifty ice cream. We picked up three shovels, figuring our boys might want their own, and a $22 bottle of spray-on sunscreen. The cashier was polite, the transaction seamless and quick. We checked into La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club later that afternoon and the boys and I didn't leave for the next two days. The kids loved playing at the beach, and they were absolutely obsessed with those shovels. My husband did go on a couple of errands, hunting and gathering pizza and wine. He brought back a few decent bottles, and when I asked him where he found them, he said he just walked to the Neighbor-Saver Market. The selection wasn't impressive or anything, but we drank perfectly well. In retrospect, I regret not going back to the market to pick up one more beach shovel. Our friends were right, as it turns out--you can't just buy the same ones on Amazon. I'll have to go back to Neighbor-Savor next time we're in La Jolla. We'll probably be there anyway, for whatever else we need.

It's always been sub par for the area and never a place to go for a kind greeting. A couple days ago, my young daughter wanted to go in so I said ok. Unfortunately we were met by the nastiest cashier, the guy with numerous face piercings. He was so outrageously rude, yelled at us for asking him a question. My daughter was actually scared of him. The other customers in the store were also shocked by his disgusting behavior. Thankfully, we decided to go across the street to the Cheese Shop to see if they had something similar. There, we were met by the most welcoming employee who helped us out and found something that fit the bill. While I never wanted to go into this dilapidated market for anything beyond a bar a surf wax, I'll definitely NEVER go there again.
