11/12/25 Easily the…read moreworst experience with any appliance repair company we've ever used. The technician arrived, goes into the laundry room and looks at the Whirlpool washing machine and tells me outright "we don't fix that issue" based only on my description of the problem. He didn't even touch the washer until he could see I was visibly annoyed. Later he looked at it for about 15 minutes and then told me it wasn't the suspension rods as he suspected (though "(we) won't repair those at all because they'll just break again in three months.") His estimate to repair the direct drive (motor? gears?) was $850. The washing machine didn't cost that much brand new. What made it even more frustrating was that he was on the phone with a technician asking about the washing machine WHILE looking at it. I don't think this guy is an appliance repair person, but perhaps some other trade? He then repeatedly informs me that Purcell sells washers and dryers. Yay. Next up he went to the kitchen to inspect the dishwasher. Once again I describe the issue to him (which we did when we set up the appointment) and tells me AGAIN without touching the dishwasher. "You need a new control board... the parts cost on those is $550." Once again, he didn't do anything except push the buttons on the control panel and looked at the dishwasher filter. And also once again, the PART COST is higher than the cost of the dishwasher. And again he tells me Purcell sells dishwashers too (just my luck!) and we can get $50 off if we buy one - because we paid $150 in service fees. What. A. Joke. This place sells appliances and is not affiliated with the previous owners of the repair service we had used in the past. They've been open for a year - selling appliances, but also offering the following services - and I quote: Heating and Cooling Commercial Refrigeration Electrical Repairs Cooktop repair Range installation Appliance repair Stove repair Dryer installation Freezer repair Grill repair Microwave repair Range hood repair Trash compactor repair Washer repair Appliance installation Range repair Stove installation Dishwasher repair Dryer repair Garbage disposal repair Ice maker repair Oven repair Refrigerator repair Vacuum repair I'm out $150 and this place is laughing all the way to the bank. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR AWAY from this "repair company." By the way - on separate reviews I've left this company, they keep telling me that the washer was used improperly - yes I'm sure it was overloaded. So they won't repair it because it was overloaded? We needed a repair, not a scolding from a company that wants to sell new appliances and NOT repair existing ones. I stand 100% by my review.

The initial repair person that came clearly had no idea what he was doing, and spent about 20 minutes trying to figure something out before he called in backup. Once the other person came he repeatedly said to the first person " Are you drunk? Now I'm really worried. You need to go home and get some sleep" And then later "Just go home and get rest. I'm worried about you." This was a really strange and uncomfortable situation. The second guy kept trying to show the first things, ask him questions, etc. The first guy literally could not do anything or answer a single question. Ultimately, I was told it was a $500+ repair for an issue, but nothing was shown to me, and after asking to have the quote emailed to me, I never actually got it. Unprofessional from the beginning, and wildly bizarre that they would send someone out who was in such a state. (Not to mention still charging me for the visit).

The technician said a new part would be ordered. I let over a week go by and had heard nothing so called. The part had never been ordered. Then the wrong part was ordered. Then I was told the right part was in and the tech was coming out - I was given the date. The tech never showed up so I called - the part had never actually arrived. This has now happened at least two more times. No one will call me back - I get stuck with the answering service, even after their office manager told me to always ask for her - she won't speak to me or return my calls. They have over $1000 of my money for this repair and I have a freezer that has not worked in over two months. I waited again all day today for a call - it is now almost 5pm and no one has ever gotten in touch with me.

The highlight was the running train in the middle on top floor as you sit and sip on the hot cider while waiting for our reindeer tour at around noon. Luckily at the time we went we were the only once so we basically got a private tour. Who knew reindeers love graham crackers? It had snowed a couple days before so it was so special to see all the reindeer in the snow. The lovely gal answered a lot of our questions about the farm and the reindeer and my 4 yo daughter really loved feeding and patting the friendly and soft reindeers. It looked like they had a fun playground and an onsite cafe (it was closed) and some other amenities around but they were all covered in snow when we went. The only thing is it would have been nice if they plowed their parking lot after the snow for safety. This was in the same town we were visiting family so it was very close. I thought it was worth the price ($12) and I would recommend this for other families to come check out with their little ones and have a unique experience!
