What an amazing place to host a party. With a large upstairs room that easily held 50 people had private bathrooms had dance floor area and a bar. This place is a find the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are happy and have impeccable service frequently asking our guests what they needed and bringing specified items to the table for them. They let us arrive early to decorate and we're so helpful unkind. The food was amazing and plentiful. The house sangria was surely a hit. They even provided a musician who was perfect for her baby shower occasion. Think of them for your next party it is a great place both for food and location and service.

To begin with, the service was terrible. I had to ask for menus. They served us old reheated bread. As a matter of fact, all of meals seemed like they were reheated. The only good thing we had was the pork belly appetizer. The steak and chicken were dry as well as the rice. Not sure why all the good reviews bc our experience was subpar and we will not be going back.

Absolutely love Paulo's. The pichana apaulito is a go to of mine. Such an awesome price for such a flavorful piece of pichana! I have not had anything from this restaurant I have not loved. Additionally, the staff, servers and even the people who sit at the bar are just all around great, welcoming vibes. Food brings people together, Paulo's does just that. Pro tip: ask for the house made garlic hot sauce

Been going here for years today I ordered a Brazilian steak sandwich with french fries it was pretty good a pieces of fat in the meat but nothing too bad and the french fries was good as well. My waiter was very attentive and nice and the food came out in a decent amount of time. There's a main dining room and theres seats in the bar area so you can have a nice romantic dinner section or a hanging out section. They also have out door seating in the warmer months. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in South Plainfield

Absolutely wonderful staff - so friendly- been coming here for years and they make you feel like home. Kenny owner, son is Thomas and the staff- Mateo, Rick, and everyone on the team is so customer friendly and personable. Highly recommended especially if you are local.

The meals where perfect, as usual. The service was spot on, thank you Thomas. And attentive. We really enjoy Paulo's. We will be back.

I picked up a routine whole chicken platter with brown beans...bad start was waiting over 15 min on a Monday night and told i was waiting for the beans after I inquired. Once I got home 10 min later, the meal was quite disappointing for the 1st time. Not only were the beans lukewarm, they were ultra watery like someone added water to old beans as they had zero taste and a mushy consistency which made them inedible. The rice was not warm but also flavorless and clumpy - the most disappointing part was the dry and very small chicken pieces. Maybe being a Monday was a tough day but it pains me to write this review as this is a place we enjoyed; my wife will be calling tomorrow to discuss with manager. Sorry team...not an acceptable/pleasant/recommendable experience.

The staff is very friendly and they all were working very hard to get everyone's orders ready. The staff is very nice. I placed my order to go for (2) half orders of BBQ Chicken Combo. A 1/2 order comes with a half a chicken cut up into 4 pieces of bbq chicken, a choice of yellow rice, black or red beans, fries, or salad. They also serve several different types of homemade Empanadas, Yuca, and Fried Bananas. This is not a big place. There are a couple of tables and a few counter seats. I saw in their refrigerator they have ready to go desserts. I added 2 Flans to go with my order. When I got home I was really surprised. They didn't skimp on our orders. They gave me 1/2 a chicken cut up into 4 nice pieces of chicken which was juicy with a side of hot sauce and a side of their bbq sauce. Both sauces were good. I also got an abundance of delicious yellow rice with some veggies in it. I chose black beans which came in a separate container. I enjoyed everything and so did my boyfriend. For dessert we each got a flan. I was truly surprised. My flan was super creamy, it had lots of caramel sauce on the bottom. The flan was so very good I couldn't stop eating it. I highly recommend trying their dessert. They also sell Tres Leche Cake,Rice Pudding, Oreo Cake,Tiramisu, Cheese Cake, Carrot Cake, and Red Velvet Cake. Dunellen BBQ offers an extensive menu. They offer chicken, steak, and seafood along with kebabs and sandwiches. There is a free parking lot next door. It's small bc they share it. There's also some street parking. I would definitely recommend trying this place especially their BBQ chicken platter.

I don't often see Canh Chua Thom on menus at Vietnamese restaurants, and enjoyed it here. It's a tangy sweet and sour tamarind based soup that pairs well with rice, and feels nice and comforting especially on a cold day. I also tried the Banh Xeo appetizer (crispy pancake) and loved it! I appreciated that they offer different protein options besides the standard shrimp. The owners/staff here also seem so lovely. I overheard them greeting regulars as well as families they haven't seen in a long time, and it just felt so warm and personable. I'd definitely come back again to try their other dishes.

Pictures of the restaurant's food are everywhere as well, with some of them taped to the refrigerator behind the counter and others being depicted on canvases that hang on the white walls. Silk lanterns dangle from the ceiling in different colors and the walls are adorned with cultural items too. We ordered the following: Tra Thai, which is Thai Iced Tea- this was pretty good Soda Hot Ga, which is egg yolk with soda - hubs enjoyed it and liked it A2- Goi Cuon, which are spring rolls that are rice paper stuffed with shrimp, egg and noodles. It came with peanut sauce but we opted for fish sauce because of our daughter's peanut allergy. The rice paper wasn't soft and it felt rubbery. It was hard at the edges and made us wonder if it was premade. We wished it was fresher. S21 Bun Rieu, which is crab meat pork in tomato shrimp paste noodle soup. Daughter liked it and wasn't disappointed by it. D4- Mi Xao Dơn Do Biển, which is a combination of seafood and vegetables stir fried in a light sauce and served over crispy noodles. I was a little disappointed with this entree. We expected it to be egg noodles but it wasn't. There was hardly any proteins but mostly vegetable fillers. A9- Banh Xeo, which is coconut and rice flour crepe filled with a savory combination of bean sprouts and shrimp that's served on a bed of lettuce. This was ok but it wasn't as soft. The omelet tasted like it was overdone. I'm not sure if it was because we just came back from our trip to Los Angeles where all the Vietnamese food were top-notch but I felt a little disappointed with this place. Service was quick and friendly. Glad we got to try this place!

We did the combo, and the portions were very generous--especially the garlic rice, which was fluffy, aromatic, and perfectly garlicky. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.
