The bustling, cavernous dining room with its classic wooden accents and lively atmosphere creates an unforgettable setting for a classic seafood feast. The service was remarkably polished and attentive, carrying on decades of legendary hospitality. The food exceeded every expectation: the iconic Crab Claws were sweet, succulent, and perfectly chilled, while the decadent Lobster Mac offered ultimate rich comfort. Surprisingly, their classic Fried Chicken delivered a golden, perfectly crispy bite, and the Creamed Spinach rounded out the meal as an ideal, savory side dish.

Walking in you get that old school feel with the staff dressed to the tee and very friendly. They had a special pre fixe menu that was fairly priced which allowed me to try a lot of the menu instead of having to order a la carte. Our server was professional and terse but in a way that I didn't mind and he even scolded some other busboys for taking too long to clear our table which I found funny but appreciated too. I started with the Stuffies which were amazing! The baked clams were dressed up nicely and these were very tasty. The stone crabs were delicious and I loved the dipping sauce it came with. Granted we visited outside of stone crab season and so I'd love to come back when the crabs are more fresh and in season. It also came with sides of hash browns, creamed spinach, and a grilled tomato. While I appreciate the quantity and variety they gave, these sides were a miss for me. The pre fixe concluded with my choice of the Key Lime Pie which was a nice ending for the meal. Nicely balanced between tart and sweetness. My only note would be for the crust layer to be bigger since it would help balance out the pie portion a bit better. We also got the fried chicken which is a steal for only $9. Excellent and crispy skin and very moist! The only dry piece was the breast unfortunately, but otherwise it's hard to find a better fried chicken at this price.

We went on a weeknight at the end of the night and were the only ones in there. The restaurant is very cozy and cute. Everything was an absolute hit. I can't wait to go back and try more things!

The decor is a little wild LOL. Some of the art gave us a chuckle but it's all the restaurant owner My husband had the Ceviche Da Vinci which was a lot smaller in portion and when asking what other leche de Tigre flavors it included per the discription, he was told it's all the same flavor. Kind of disappointed and recommend getting to share or if you're not that hungry. I got the ceviche Misterioso y Abusivo with the fresh catch and additional mixed seafood. Man was it a lot of fish! lol. For our two ceviches a Pepsi max and an iced tea, we paid $75.

Instead, our server stood there and watched us struggle to box up our own food to go. Not even a little help. And our water was never refilled. Now, the food... The ceviches were all pretty similar, with the exception of the coconut one. They were tangy, citrusy, and good, but every single one was begging for some spice. If you're ordering ceviche, I'd skip the mixed seafood and stick with the fish-only options. The red snapper was easily my favorite dish of the night. Deboned, fried to perfection, and presented beautifully. My sparkling wine paired perfectly with it. The salmon sashimi was also delightful. Overall, come for the classic ceviche and the fried fish. Those are the standouts. Just don't expect your 20% gratuity to include help boxing up your leftovers.

(The hotel is also a charming, reliably perfect stay on SoBe. Smaller rooms, clean, nicely decorated, and location, location, location. Not cheap, but not obscenely overpriced.) The restaurant is predictable. Seafood is so fresh, one might think the fish walked into the kitchen voluntarily. Preparations are both simple and exotic, depending on personal choice. Cooking is precise; plating is art. Tastes are deliciously above par. Service is cordial and professional. Priced comparative to market. This is one of SoBe's finest, with guests pulled from both local residents and visiting tourists looking for fine dining on the beach. We had the special, a Black Truffle Tagliolini with 1/2 a Maine lobster and let me tell you...I can still taste it. A true half lobster, claw to tail, was cooked to buttery softness. My husband commented that he thinks it was one of the best cooks on a lobster he's ever had. We finished the evening with a limoncello cake that was subtle, moist, and scrumptious. We go to restaurants hoping for good food and a nice atmosphere. When the staff goes above and beyond, it really adds to the experience. For years, I had always passed-up the Poseidon on Washington Av. in South Beach,…read morethinking it was too much of an upscale restaurant for my social bracket. But, when I saw they were advertising a Lamb Gyro for $12 (Tuesdays), I took the leap. Seems it wasn't that far to jump. Although there were table cloths, cloth napkins and silverware, with room for a true dining experience, the fan sitting atop the bar, (blowing-off more air than necessary), and the plastic plants on the walls/ceilings threw-off any pretense I had of the place. When I requested the Lamb Gyro, the server pointed to an entree on the menu for me to approve. I made sure there wasn't another (re: pricier) offer. There was... it was the one he suggested. The gyro itself consisted of a bland (Tzatziki?) sauce that struggled to find my taste buds. Lamb (typically) has a gamey/slightly sweet flavor; these cuts seemed to be found from behind their refrigerator, (not from inside). They certainly weren't cut fresh from a spit, as they were old and nearly tasteless. The included slices of onion and peppers, delegated to the pita bottom, (instead of intermingling) barely helped. The French fries (included in the price) were the most flavorful part of the meal; although, they were an insult, rather than accompaniment to the experience. And, was that Latin (instead of traditional Greek) music coming from the speakers? Along with a 20% "Administrative" fee, I won't be tempted to venture in again.
