Offer some alcoholic beverages, beets and wine.

This is located where Souper Salad use to be in Hurst by NE Mall. The restaurant was clean and service was prompt. They had large group tables ready (seating 10 but could make bigger/smaller). They do have a bar and offered mixed drinks, some beer and wine. They also offer breakfast (both American items and Mexican items). In my opinion, Mexican Food restaurants are either thumbs up or thumbs down with salsa. There's seem to be made with serrano's, served warm with fresh made chips. It had good flavor with medium heat. Definitely a thumbs up for us. We split the beef fajita nachos, which was plenty for us. The beef was tender with good flavor. Prices were moderate/average. Example, our nachos were $12.99. We will definitely be back.

Enchiladas Michoacanas with Steak, excellent

I figured I would update my review since they finally have their liquor license. We both love the Enchiladas Michoacanas, best enchiladas ever hands down, but you would not believe how good these nachos are. I am not a person who orders nachos at restaurants because I love an entree with sides, and I usually have plenty of chips and their amazing salsa. But I cannot get enough of these nachos! And that margarita. Geesh. It wasn't super strong, but it definitely had tequila in there, and it was huge! I freaking love this place. If you haven't tried it yet, what's stopping you?

NOT what I ordered... And BTW, where are the eggs?

So I called in an order of 3 chorizo/egg breakfast tacos on flour tortillas. Typically when you order something, you expect to get what you ordered... At what point did I say anything about onions or potatoes? I ordered what I wanted, NOT what you wanted to give me... And while this place probably has decent food, mine was ruined because I never got what I ordered... Nah... I won't be returning

Tried out this little cafe found on Yelp! This place did not disappoint. The meat was flavorful, the salsa was made fresh and still warm when I received my chips and salsa. It was not too spicy but just a hint of spicy which was perfect! The house margarita was good and fairly large. Not overly strong but made just right. Service was friendly and I received my food fairly quickly. Didn't even have to refill the chips This place is truly a cafe feel. It is clean and spacious. Highly recommend you come check them out for yourselves!

Went to brunch here w/Javier & my aunt & Uncle it was surprisingly very good. We all enjoyed it & said we would definitely come back. I took my daughter back about a week ago & she really enjoyed also. It seems as though there are a lot of regulars because people don't even need the menus just sit down & order.

I'll admit, I've been putting off sharing my secret gem with you all! For starters- this is the cleanest, most authentic, friendliest, AND fair priced mexican restaurant in the area. My spicy margarita was only $8 and as you can tell from the pic- it is pretty big. The food however was the star of the show! If you've never had Enchiladas Michoacanas- this is is the place to try them. Service was fast/attentive and I was greeted by everyone who passed my table. 10/10 recommend.

Steak and eggs plate. Was okay just bland

The Migas plate Was good and in my opinion if the tortilla strips are not crispy it can really make or break migas and this one was on point! Steak and eggs was just not it. Not good it was needing way more flavor to it Chroizo burrito was yummy! Their beans are very good and their homemade tortillas according to other reviews and I believe their website too. Not true. They are NOT homemade. Very disappointed French toast is nothing extraordinary. They do not offer chips and salsa before 11am so if you're expecting Mexican breakfast and want that chip and salsa like I did- then this is not the place for your breakfast stop! Also, coffee isn't the best. I don't recommend it

Today, a group of local school counselors tried Patzcuaro for the first time. We tried a variety of plates, of which I'm posting some if the pics. I had the enchiladas and chose double beans since I'm not a rice eater. The enchiladas were very good and had a nice amount of cheese over them. The beans were tasty and we liked their hot sauce. It wasn't very hot but had a nice flavor. My friend who ordered the beef fajita salad said the fajitas were tender and seasoned perfectly. Her word was AMAZING! Another friend got the chicken and beef fajita platter and said it was delicious! I could go on, but Iet's just say this was a WIN! The restaurant itself is pretty simple, nothing fancy, but it was clean, the restrooms were clean, the servers were kind, and they got our food out in good time. The prices were good for the amount of food we were served, and for the beautiful plating of the food. We agreed to have our beginning of the school year meeting there and possibly our Christmas luncheon. That's how much we liked it!

Side for fajitas

I was excited to give a new Tex-med place a try. I thought it was really interesting how they had so many options, including Mexican breakfasts all day! Walking in, it is a huge place. I didn't take the hint it was so empty since reviews seemed really good. The thing that really caught my attention was the booths were not really even meant for 4 people. Very small and other seating wasn't adequate unless you pushed tables together. (We are a family of 5.) Now for the food, I got fajitas (chicken and steak) they were very lime flavored but honestly I liked them. The meat was not chewy and for the price they gave plenty. They skimped on the rice and beans that came with it but that's not a huge thing. Just surprised me as it's the less expensive part. My son got an adult chicken quesadilla as they didn't have one on the kids menu - WEIRD! It was packed with chicken and must say not enough cheese. Oddly didn't even have rice and beans on the side. Now for my husband...major shocker...he hated it! He got a chorizo breakfast burrito. He is a chorizo lover and don't think he has ever not liked some but this he didn't touch after the first bite. He called it dog food. Unsure if since we were there around 2 it just cooked to long or why but it wasn't edible. Unfortunately not a place I'd recommend or be back to off this experience. A positive? The prices are good. Guess you get what you pay for.

One of our favorite places to visit! The menu is vast, so everyone will be able to find something to eat.

Hubs got the Enchilada lunch, selecting beef and he was very satisfied, everything tasted fresh, and was cooked to perfection, along with looking so visually appealing. Oh, also, their chips and salsa are a TREAT, if you've never been they bring a trio of salsa's, one is a tomatillo based, sweetened with pineapple, it's so bright and fresh, and actually surprised me, I don't believe I have ever had sweet, green salsa, every one at the table should like this, they also have a mild, traditional red salsa, and a smoky, roasted, medium spiciness salsa, all three were delicious! I got the Fresco Salad, and chose beef fajita for my protein. Look, I am not a huge salad lover, but it sounded good, and I was looking for something on the lighter side, UM, WOW! Honestly I can't stop thinking about it lol, first of all it's huge, I was only able to eat about 1/4 or maybe even a little less, before I had to give up, and ask for a box. There was enough left that the next day, I made small quesadillas and split the rest with my hubs for lunch and we both were stuffed. The salad was fresh and crisp, the flavors including the dressing that automatically comes with it is the perfect match up of flavors. I really need to find an Abuelo's while out of town next week lol. Our service was great, Tony was very attentive and helpful, always made sure our beverages were full, and friendly. I will ask for his section the next time we visit! To wrap things up, know that the portions are generous, the food is on point, and the restaurant is large, so they can accommodate groups and parties, the atmosphere is lovely, and decor beautiful and festive , I hope you give them a try.

Usually this means the beginning of the end for restaurants (See Pulido's) BUT, we gave it a try a few weeks after the change and the food was still the same, great quality it always has been. Hooray! Then the name change. This also had me worried. If they're changing the name, they might be changing process and procedures in the kitchen as well. Well, we still frequent the place regularly and it's STILL our go-to for Tex-Mex. Still great food, still great atmosphere, still great, friendly staff. Always. Everything we've had so far has been fantastic: enchiladas, giant burrito, shrimp tacos, beef fajitas, everything. If I was to say ONE thing as a criticism, I miss the pitcher of salsa on the table to refill your salsa cup. And the bowl of chips is smaller, making you go through them quicker. A minor inconvenience and the staff are pretty much on top of refills, so like I said: minor. Oh, and I miss looking under the plates for the 'M' for the complimentary dish. Just something fun.

Food is always consistent and service is top-notch. Plus, the frozen Margaritas are some of our all-time favorites. Mi Pueblo also has some pretty awesome salsa and chips. We like our salsa a bit hotter, so we mix their hotter salsa in with the regular. It comes out perfectly. After being seated and looking over the menu, one of our regular servers, Jose, came by to take our drink orders. Two frozen Margaritas, one no-salt, the way my wife likes it. My wife decided on an order of bean and cheese nachos, Nachos de Casa. I ordered the Azteca platter comprised of a sour cream chicken enchilada, cheese enchilada, crispy ground been taco plus rice and refried beans. When our Margaritas arrived, we were both happy campers with very happy tummies. We munched on chips and salsa, sipped Margaritas and had a good bit of conversation going when Jose arrived with our entrees. Yummy, picture perfect. My wife said her nachos were awesome. Mi Pueblo cooks up some really deliciously flavored refried beans. They've got great flavor and are seasoned to perfection. My Azteca platter was more than I could eat. My wife warned me, but I didn't listen. Both enchiladas were packed full of deliciousness. The crispy beef taco was crunchy and wonderful. Rice and refried beans, AWESOME! Thank you, Jose and Mi Pueblo, for a wonderful relaxing time dining and enjoying each other's company. We'll be back many more times in 2026.
