Such mixed emotions when I write this review!! I had been wanting to come here for ages, have read the reviews and saw the place featured on shows like DDD and Phantom Gourmet. The overall staff was nice, especially our waitress. My husband and I ordered 12 pierogis (6 different kinds). Our waitress offered us some bread and butter - it was one of the best rye breads I've ever had!!!! Seriously delicious. I loved the menu options for the pierogis but I feel like execution was lacking. Not only were they not HOT when the plate was delivered to our table but some weren't even warm. Also some of the fillings seemed canned or heavily processed... not something that was homemade in the kitchen. Also, while the presentation was nice, there was NO labeling on which pierogi was which. Russian roulette pierogis anyone?? The dessert pierogis were good - peanut butter cup and apple cinnamon. Even though the Apple filling was just canned pie filling, they were at least hot and yummy! Overall, it was an OK experience. Some good things, some OK things, but overall not quite up to the 5-star reviews I've read. Might have been an off day; will need to give them another try down the road. read more

Love this little place. I was fortunate enough to meet the owner. Nice lady. She helps her staff when they need it which is great. I like that they have such an array of choices and all are very good. Never had a bad pierogi from there and I've tried them all! Definitely take a seat inside if there's room and if they've opened it back up. It's a cute place. read more

Deeeeelicious. I love the variety of pierogis, especially the chourico pizza one. How awesome! They have a cozy feel going, with a dining room that feels like your grandma's living room, to diner style counter seating. The service was relatively nice, but one person tried to give me grief about asking for a to-go cup for the rest of my soda. Are you kidding me? Patti's never disappoints! Whether you feel like dining in or taking out, her food always tastes amazing!! The parking lot is a bit tiny here, so you may end up parking on the street, once inside you are always greeted with a friendly smile and some fun sounding Polish music playing in the background. The seating area is relatively small, but fits more people than you would think. You have to start with a bowl of Kapusta soup with ground kielbasa. (cabbage & kielbasa) Words cannot describe how tasty and flavorful this bowl of soup is! As far as the meal options go, that is totally on you and what you are in the mood for. There are SOOOO many varieties of Pierogis... From potato & cheese, mac & cheese, chourico, french meat pie,buffalo chicken, steak & cheese, sweet potato, cabbage, Italian sausage, BBQ pulled pork, BBQ beans, sweet potato & marshmallow, chicken teriyaki... The list just keeps going. Many times when we can't decide, we go with Patti's Platter, which consists of 12 of Patti's favorite Pierogis, 2 Golumbkis and 1 link of kielbasa. This place is a small but very welcoming. You can sit a the bar, tall tables or in the dining room. Lots of paraphernalia to look and and conversation starters. The menu is full of delicious homemade items with a huge assortment of pierogi choices, including dessert pierogis. Try a few or try a dozen. You can't go wrong with dine-in or take-out. We did both! Our take-out was fresh and delicious the next day. We cooked them up exactly as they instructed. read more

I would give 5 stars based on the cookie dough pierogi alone. My goodness what a masterpiece. So yea, I have a sweet tooth. (And there are SO MANY dessert pierogi options). But the main course was great as well! We split the platter - 12 pierogis of the kitchen's choice, 2 glumkis (I did NOT spell that right), and a kielbasa. There was not one pierogi on that plate that we disliked. The mac and cheese pierogi was a personal favorite, tasted like fresh mac. I did not expect the teriyaki pierogis to work well but they did! The kielbasa was on the money and the glumkis were very flavorful. I was thankful that we did not get any grief for bringing a baby with us (he was very well behaved by the way!). We got some extra space to ourselves and went about our piergoi-eating business. Parking is limited but you can easily park on the side street, so no worries there. I will absolutely make a point to come back to Patti's again and hopefully bring some friends and/or family with me! read more

There is no dine in option at this time. Get there early if you want all the options they run out fast. The pulled pork pierogi and the bacon Mac and cheese were very flavorful. I loved the spice of the chourico and potato. I also tried two traditional potato pierogis which were delicious. I also got the French meat pie which is a great vehicle to bring that flavor. They well make them ready to eat or the will boil them so you can cook them later. They get cold quick so unless your going to eat them in the car , I would get them to cool later at your home. Can't wait to go back when you can eat inside. read more

This was a lot of fun. A totally different cuisine for me since I've never had Pierogis before. We pretty much ordered all we could since I'm not sure when we will be able to come back. For apps we started with a potato cake and kielbasa. It was really good on its own, but my sister said that the menu said we could ask for sour cream, maple syrup, or apple sauce. We tried the sour cream and the syrup. The sour cream didn't do much for the app, but the maple syrup gave a big punch to the potato cake. I think the syrup went with the potato cake because the cake itself had these underlying sweet notes (I'm sure from the pancake mix they used-if they used any. It tasted like they did). All three of us ordered our own sampler plates of pierogis. I think that if it's your first (and probably only) time here, then this is the route you should go. There are SO many to try! I got a sampler platter of 6 and it was perfect due to the fact that we got apps, some sides, and dessert. But if you're not going to get all the extras, you might want to get more. My favorite out of the ones i tried were the Mac and cheese and the steak and mushroom. Least favorite was the chili one. We got a pickles, kraut, and goulmki. The goulmki had cabbage, rice and some meat in there wrapped in dough with tomato sauce on top. It sounded like a delicious concept but I didn't like the type of meat they used inside. I wasn't sure what it was but it tasted either cheap, or gamey. My dad liked the dish until he got to the tomato sauce. We ended up leaving most of that. We finished off with the dessert pirogies. I got almond joy and my sister got rocky road. The Rocky Road was very decadent. The Almond Joy was slammed packed with coconut on the inside, but the inside had so much almond extract in it too that I felt like it took away from the dish. I'm not the biggest fan of almond extract or flavoring so I could really taste it. But even though it sounds like I'm not pleased with the desserts, they were still good and I would try other flavors. Again, the whole experience was so different and such a blast. The flavors weren't all there in the food, but I would still recommend this place to anyone! read more

Consistently good food. Their pierogis and golumbkis are always amazing. Although they have an unlimited number of pierogi choices, I personally believe that the traditional ones the best. Great food, great value, great service. The food here is delicious. Especially the Golabki and the Kielbasa. The cook really goes above and beyond in what she does in the kitchen and it shows in her food. The staff in the front of the house is attentive and friendly and care about their patrons. While we were there the waitress running the front end was very helpful to several take out patrons, while she also helped us and someone at the bar and at no time did she make any of us feel like we were being left unattended. She was wonderful! I can see why they have been there for 13 years, attention to detail, good food, caring about your patrons and just overall good service. This was my first visit here, I grabbed a few Golabkis and of course a 1/2 dozen each of the Potato & Cheese and Cabbage Kraut Pork Pierogis. You have the option to have your pierogis ready to eat or prepared to cook at home, which I chose to do since it was a bit of a drive. Service was really quick we waited only 10-15 mins for our food. The staff here are very friendly, inviting and of course wear pierogi masks lol The food is very good and just an overall great experience. I will definitely be back! read more

Fall River is known for Portugese food, Emeril Lagasse and Lizzie Borden and her axe. It was an unexpected surprise therefore to stumble upon a Polish restaurant, a food about which I know very little. On a rainy late afternoon the other day we found ourselves seated in a very homey, old-fashioned looking place. Polka music was playing softly in the background. Had not everyone been speaking English, I might have thought we were in some village in the old country. We were welcomed immeditely by the young woman behind the long wooden bar which is the first thing you see upon entering. She told us to sit wherever we wanted. I like to choose my own seat in a restaurant. I'm bossy like that. A moment later we met the server, Missy, who was an absolute sweetheart. She was delightful and helpful with Polish food novices like us. She told us that in May, Guy Fieri of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives filmed here but the episode won't be airing until September. This place isn't a diner, nor a drive-in and it's certainly not a dive. Nonetheless I guess someone told Guy that this was a place to get some tasty, homemade, authentic Polish food in a non-pretentious environment with surprisingly wallet-friendly prices. Polish food is heavy on kielbasa and sausage, things I don't eat, but I went to town with the pierogis ordering one or two of several kinds. They have a long list of pierogis although I wondered about the authenticity of some of them. I don't know that a pizza pierogi is indigenous to Poland but hey, that's what a good chef will do, tweak a recipe and make it her own. It worked! Every culture it seems has their version of a dumpling or a raviolo and Poland shares this love of stuffed dough with the pierogi. I loved the plain potato pierogis as well as the cheddar, potato and broccoli. Another favorite was the tangy sauerkraut and mushroom pierogi. I get such cravings sometimes for sauerkraut and it worked well in this dish. A couple at a nearby table asked us if we'd eaten here before and when we said we hadn't they told us we should definitely try the cabbage soup. And so we did. What I can tell you is that it's absolutely delicious. So much so that I bought a quart of it to take home. This place also makes cabbage rolls which is something my non-Polish husband loves. He was in heaven and found this version to be fabulous. We bought a couple of those to take home for him too. We both tried the Polish beer called Okocim. Always good to try the culturally appropriate beer. And what better beverage to go with this kind of food? Before too long the chef-owener, Patti came out. She is a charming, totally down to earth woman with a passion for good, hearty Polish food and culture. We just couldn't get over how welcoming everyone was here. We honestly felt like we'd mistakenly walked into someone's dining room and had been invited to eat. There is a menu of dessert pierogies. There are all kinds to choose from and being the prune/plum lover that I am, I chose the prune pierogi. You can get this a la mode but I took mine plain. It came out warm, sweet and delicious. Don't pass the desserts up when here. This was an unexpected and fun place to find. Although this is really off the beaten track for us, I know we'll be back. Next time, I plan to try the potato pancakes. read more

The pierogis are good, the service, the owner, and the staff are not. I don't live in Massachusetts, so I don't make it here much, but I do stop when I am in the area. Honestly, I am thinking about skipping in the future. The first time I went here the experience wasn't that good, I just assumed it was an off day... wrong. I've actually had a very similar experience every single time. I ordered ahead and my pierogis were ready, so that was not the issue. The issue is it is NEVER a quick experience. The staff take 10 minutes to ring you out. They are literally doing 12 things at once and make you wait without courteous communication. In fact, there is no communication when you enter. I was never greeted when I walked in the door. They are not nice, they are kind of condescending and look and talk to you like you are an idiot. When we called to order, we asked for three separate orders with three separate names. When we got there, everything was correct once you can figure out which pierogis belonged to each order. Nothing was labeled with names, and they wanted to ring it up as one order. I understand they are always busy, but so is every other business I support, but none of them are this unorganized or rude. Hopefully others will have a better experience, but I have never had a good experience here. My recommendation.... Hire all new staff who want to provide good, quality and polite service. read more

My Polish blood loves me some Polish food from Patti's Pierogis. I was oblivious to this restaurant's existence for far too long... but boy am I glad I found it and that it's just a stone's throw from where I work. I have visited this place on several occasions and I have never been disappointed. This place is like Pierogi heaven... There are a number different fillings (traditional or not) to tickle your taste buds. Ground kielbasa, chourico, french meat pie, shepard's pie, sweet italian sausage, bbq pork, sweet potato, macaroni & cheese, buffalo chicken, cabbage... the list goes on and on. I usually end up sharing a dozen or so of these treats in my order. There are even dessert ones! Apple, peanut butter cup, and many more can be served up with a scoop of ice cream! In addition to the plethora of pierogis that make it to my plate, Patti's serves up Kielbasa (polish sausage), Golabki (cabbage stuffed with minced pork/beef and rice), and Kapusta (braised sauerkraut/cabbage). What makes this place interesting, is their alternate take on many dishes using polish staples. For instance... there is a Pasta Platter made of pierogis filled with ricotta cheese with kielbasa meatballs. Eat in or take out! I often grab a drink at the bar while waiting for my take out order to be filled. On a recent blustery day, I enjoyed an Irish Coffee with a Hot Apple Pierogi, whipped cream, and vanilla ice cream. Delicious! The staff are extremely nice and welcoming. I have signed the guest book and flipped through a couple photo books while waiting for late guests to arrive. Highly recommended! Been here twice now but always just as good!! Little gem in Fall River and if you haven't been you should totally go. Cute place with a very friendly staff. I came with a group of 6 so we got a salad and some general potato and cheese pierogis to start us off. Then we each ordered our own individual ones just for fun. I got the pulled pork with onion, broccoli and cheddar and the Greek one. All were delish!! Everything is also reasonably priced. This place is for real polish! The veggie cabbage Pierogis was my fave vegetable based Pierogi. Our waitress/bartender at the bar was a hoot. Lots of personality packed in This place! Go traditional potato Pierogi but it's fun to have something new. This place is not fancy, it's definitely for the locals, there was parking out front, and the bar was inexpensive. It would be great for kids of all ages because essentially it's a dumpling and everybody likes dumplings! The food is a little bit bland but I didn't mind I'm pretty sure that's traditional for Polish food they make it on site ...can't beat it! We will be back! I was planning to grab a quick dinner at Boston Market or some other chain, while waiting for my tax appointment in Fall River. On a whim, I ran "restaurants" through Google Maps and this came up, so I figured I'd rather have something different, for a change. Patti's is a nice, informal place. Service was fast and attentive. I had the Polish Plate #3, which was two potato and cheese pierogi, 1 golabki, 1 kielbasa, for $12. The waitress patiently explained the items I was unfamiliar with. The meal came quickly, and tasted great. The waitress checked on me several times, was friendly but not overbearing. The ambience is casual and informal, with Polish decorations, signs, dolls, etc. And for some reason an alligator! Polish music played during the meal. Patti's was head and shoulders above a chain restaurant, and made my Fall River visit a little bit special. read more

Food is interesting and well prepared. Not expecting haute cuisine, but it would be nice if you could get a pierogi here in less time than it takes to get a soufflé at a hoity-toity restaurant. Been there on four separate occasions over the last five years, and every single time, the service has been progressively slower, and the staff slightly less pleasing than before. They aren't actually overtly rude to you here, but it's impossible to ignore the impression that the staff couldn't be less interested in your existence, let alone the quality of your experience. The hours are short, (they usually close around 8pm), and if you sit at the bar, good luck getting anyone's attention after 7:30, when the staff enters full breakdown mode. Entering the restaurant for any purpose other than picking up a takeout order after 7pm will earn you a disgruntled sigh from the staff, who are clearly more eager to leave than you will be when it's over. read more

Only ordered non-traditional pierogis over the phone. I'm not sure if you can sit in there but I remember that the restaurant was too dark for an early afternoon. Kinda glad I ordered takeout. Pierogis were a good size - difficult to eat with one bite and very filling. Appreciate the different choice in fillings - anyone can find a filling they like. One time I bit on bone so I am not sure if they grind meat or not. Never happened again so maybe it was the lottery. Pierogi-wise/food-wise it's ok. It's like an appetizer that can be a meal at 6 or so. I usually get it when the company orders out. Try their other items as I don't know about them. The website is very old-looking. It's not so pleasing or easy to see things as it can be, when compared to other websites. I like the personality behind the text and pictures on it but it could use a web designer's touch in terms of layout and features. The pictures and videos are great but they can be laid out better. Also for pictures of the menu items, I generally have to search online. It would be nice to see pictures on the same page as the food items that are listed. Some of us aren't Polish or are of Polish descent. It's a slightly better experience on mobile devices. read more
