Dr. Moore was recommended to me by another physician. I need a second opinion on a procedure I'm very nervous about. Dr. Moore is in my medical insurance network. My primary physician forwarded a referral to his office. I left three messages before anyone called me back. I made sure all my ultrasound and other surgeon's notes were forwarded to the office. When I finally spoke to someone, she said the doctor was out of town and would look at my records upon his return (which would be within a day or two) and the office would call me to make an appointment. So, I waited another week. I left another two messages. I got a return call saying, "Unfortunately, Dr. Moore doesn't do second opinions." They didn't know this policy any of the other 5 times I called, apparently. The tone of an office is everything and set by the doctor himself. When the people who work for you don't know basic office policies and cannot be troubled to call back patients, your level of concern for patients--people in general--is pretty low. read more
