They almost always have the unique, old school, or oddly sized part that we need, or they know where to find one. Once, when we had an actual emergency and they didn't have the part, they called around for us and found one in another plumbing shop in Pennsville, and off we went to pick it up! We were so impressed that they were more concerned with fixing our problem than with making a sale. Carol, the owner, is a gem, very friendly, really knows her stuff. and shares extremely helpful advice freely! Their prices are a little higher, but it's worth it; first, it's a small, local shop, and second, you'll never find some those parts at a big box store. If you're working on an older house, make this your first stop.

And yet, our repeated attempts over two-week long period of doin'-it-ourselving were doin' nothing but creating a lake in the bathroom. We had two choices: call Campbell Plumbing or bust out the swimtrunks and floaties. Since I like a nice, hot shower and dislike weeks of frustration, I opted for the phone. A lovely duo arrived and showed that drain who was boss. (Clearly them, not us.) And, they even offered me product recommendations to prevent them from coming back out again. Sweet! Next time: passing on the plunger and picking up the phone first.

Everything leaked so they definitely had their challenges and they were good at helping me only replace the most critical components. The only downside is I found their pricing to be on the (very) high side. I understand good plumbers are never inexpensive but they are pricey. I've worked with several of their techs and they all know their stuff. The work was flawless!

When I called, they told me it would be a FREE ESTIMATE. However, another company happened to show up at the exact same time due to an online inquiry I had started. Because the other tech was already there looking at the pump, I sent the Delaware Plumbing tech away without him ever lifting a finger or doing a diagnosis. The tech immediately got aggressive and demanded a $65 dispatch fee just for pulling into my driveway. I NEVER signed anything agreeing to this fee, and I shouldn't have to pay a dime for a "free estimate" where zero work was done. When I refused to pay, things got disgusting. I called their office to sort it out and spoke to Linda, the woman who took my initial appointment. She was incredibly hostile and explicitly threatened to send me to collections over a measly $65! They even text-blasted a voice recording of my emergency phone call to my phone as a petty bullying tactic to scare me. Trying to extort and harass a homeowner while their house is actively flooding is predatory. These companies should be ashamed of themselves. It is disgusting--all about the money! Delaware Plumbing sucks. Linda and the rest of this company can kick rocks!
