BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY. We hired them for parts they stated were ALL under warranty. They charged us separately for labor. Told us that to order the parts we would have to prepay $2.5k that would be refunded once they submitted them under the warranty. They then refunded a measly $600 and ceased all communication when we followed up 100x about the remainder of the balance. We are disputing the charges and they're now completely lying to our credit card company about everything they told us. They refused to put anything in writing because this is clearly their scheme. Do not do business with this company. We are now having to file in small claims and BBB. read more

Horrible company. They are out for $$$$$ 150 to 350 estimates avg for this job and the high 350 only if parts are needed. AVG is 250. They wanted 685 to install a new replacement dishwasher. They I refused and they wanted an 80 dollar fee cause they showed up. No thank you. look for a local small company that is not a car sales type business that wants to screw you. Because I had used Pafumi for years, I signed a maintenance agreement with SPS. My gas furnace quit during a very cold period. They tried to fix it twice before determining I needed a new furnace. Because I had no heat in my house, they brought me an electric heater and put me at the top of their list. They are high priced, but I need someone I can depend on for quick and reliable service. When I spotted a small problem with the installation, they were there the next day to do the repair. So far, everything is working well. read more

Horrible experience. Pros: located at Swedesboro and open at 7am Cons: service fee $100 while others charge $75 Ed came at 10am and told me he can't turn the AC on. I don't know why I would call him if it wasn't broken in the first place. Gave a vague "voltage enhancement system" excuse when it was just a capacitor issue. Tried to charge me $404; invoice attached. I wasn't home but according to my neighbor Ed was sitting on my driveway for 2 hours. Management should address this. Another company showed up at the end of the day, and just by the hum of the unit said it was a capacitor issue. The other company quoted me $214 for the same capacitor installed on the spot. I went online and saw a tutorial on YouTube and got the capacitor for $13.20 including tax and shipping. read more

Excellent experience! My 21 year-old hot water heater decided to die over the past holiday weekend. I called early on Tuesday and Dino was sent out later that afternoon. They looked at the heater and let me know a new one would cost the same as fixing it. I had already set my mind on a new one so they were able to have a new one installed by late the same afternoon and didn't pressure me to get anything more expensive than what I was prepared to pay. New Years Day my sweet one backed up into my house flooding half of my downstairs. SPS came out the next day and clears the clog in the main sewer line. Then found that the sewer line was broken. At firs, the quote was $3,800 because they thought the whole line needed to be replaced. But when the tech, Jeremy, came out to replace the line he found it was actually a bush that roots has grown down the clean-out because the previous homeownwr put the bush on top of the clean WITH THE LID OFF. The roots and dirt eventu filled the sewer up, and backed water up into my house. They ended up only needing to replace the clean out and saved me $2,000 in the process. Nice work! read more

SPS did a fantastic job replacing my gas furnace and installing new central air. They use Carrier products and I can't say enough how professional they were. In just 2 days, my old units were removed and new ones installed. They used drop cloths and plastic on the stairs. They reconfigured my original builders duct work to increase flow and efficiency. I called sps because I was referred based upon my usage of Pafumi heating and air conditioning in Woodbury for many years. I was told Pafumi merged with sps. A technician named Ed came out and I told him my air needed a charge. He immediately told me it was expensive and R22 would cost me 600.00. My response was wow, thats expensive. He said my heater and air units were old and should be replaced and that the 600 would be waived if they replaced them. I told him I planned on replacing them, and to give me an estimate. He worked up estimates that ranged from basic to gold, and told me I could pick from the total of 5 choices. I picked two which came to over 12,000.00 on the low end and I then showed him my 1 year old estimate from the former Pafumi company for 6,500. and told him I felt like I was being skammed. He then tried to get 100. for a service call, and I told him he didn't do anything but give me an estimate, which should be free according to his company. he then said ok and left. This company is a total rip off, and Pafumi should be ashammed to be associated with them if he is, which I have a hard time believing. I later had another company come out and charge my unit for 150. dollars and its now working fine, and I'm getting an estimate from them close to the 6,500 I initially got from the former Pafumi company. read more
