Great atmosphere. Service is good. My only gripe is that I'm allergic to avocado and ordered the mid-day turkey club sandwich without the avocado and the still put it on there. Didn't notice until after I'd already bitten into it. It cost them just one star here because I didn't have a full on reaction. Had them remake it and it was good. It was balanced well between the distribution of meat to veggies and the sauce used was creamy bonus with great seasoning. The bread was buttery, and toasted. Nice size sandwich for a late lunch, as I took half my meal home for later. I added the brussels sprouts which were both sweet and savory. My guest had the salmon Ceasar salad that they enjoyed. Bathrooms are outside of the restaurant in the lobby of the hotel. They were clean and offered full privacy in each stall with doors that went all the way to the floor with no separation slots. Overall good food, a bit pricey, but nice ambiance for meetings, romantic dinners, or single person drop in's. Also valet is COMPLIMENTARY if you're eating there which is an added bonus if you can't find downtown street parking. read more

Patina 250 is on 250 Delaware and located I. The Westin hotel. The inside is very classy and comfortable. It is set up with the open kitchen concept. The prices are towards the high side but not outrageous and there are a variety of price points on the menu. We were there for lunch and most of us had the lobster roll, which was full of lobster meat as opposed to many other places where it is mostly roll and little lobster. The service is attentive and the drinks are tasty as well. On this Saturday, there was plenty of on street parking available. read more

Where's brunch in Buffalo. I went there with a group of seven others for brunch last Sunday the 14th. My pancake was so tough I had to cut it with a knife. Two of my co-diners had the chicken and waffle. Coleslaw on top of a hot piece of chicken does not work out. Also you needed a steak knife to cut your waffle. Another friend had a cheeseburger and fries. The fries were so greasy they were on edible. I would recommend staying away from this restaurant. read more

While our food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, the other guests dining at the same time as us really negatively impacted our experience. The large group of women seated behind us were taking pictures using flash photography on a professional camera for the entire length of our dinner. The amount of flash was so excessive and impacted our ability to enjoy our business dinner as many people began to get headaches. I would hope to see the restaurant address this kind of behavior in the future, and maintain the quality of the atmosphere. read more

Had a very nice dinner at Patina before a show at Shea's. Nice location on Delaware avenue within walking distance of the theatre located inside of the Westin hotel. The restaurant is known for being fresh locally sourced ingredients and has seasonal menus. It is a trendy setting displaying art work from local artists. Very nice bar with a big tv to watch sporting events. We started with the Parkerhouse rolls, which were delicious served with maple butter. I had the classics Caesar salad which was quite good... but because it is definitely the chassis version with anchovies. We had the ricotta cavatelli and the rigatoni with bolognese Bianca... the dishes were good but a little heavy in the garlic. But we finished our plates and finished with a delicious caramelized banana pudding. Server was professional and attentive. I would definitely recommend for a nice dinner! read more

I was brought to this restaurant as a surprise Mother's Day dinner by my children. We went on Saturday before Mother's Day and I was so excited when we arrived, however our waiter was rude! He seemed to be judging us and his lack of attention ruined our whole night. Food was subpar at best. The best thing we tried was buffalo cauliflower. We actually went home and ate pizza. I'm staying at the hotel so it was a very convenient to eat here but if I wasn't, I'm not sure I would come here except that the short rib was really an amazing dish. As well as the blackout cake. Duck is a little salty and resembled ham. The host said it's cured duck. The cauliflower is good and crispy. Good for 3-4 people since it was a large portion. read more

The only course I enjoyed was the appetizer, which was the glazed pork. My steak tasted as if it was just cooked with zero seasoning. The only other flavor was the garnish on the plate, which I slid my steak into, but still really nothing. I've had much better food. I was looking forward to a spectacular anniversary dinner, and it was not great. The worst was the banana pudding. How in God's name do you mess banana pudding up? For a better steak, I would go to Falletta's in Amherst. At least there you get the bare minimum bread basket. I will say my waiters were great and this is nothing against them! read more

This was a great meal overall and perfect amount of food for us. We split the squash soup, which did get cold quick in the type of bowl they served, but came out hot. Just finished my brunch at Patina 250. This restaurant is inside the Westin Hotel downtown. Business is good! I got a table by the window, it was perfect. I ordered coffee and Fresh Toast with mascarpone cheese. It was delicious, brioche bread is thick and fluffy, the strawberry topping is not too sweet, just perfect. We started w the Cinnamon bread appetizer because honestly, the choices were pretty meek. It was basically a large pan of bread w very little cinnamon or butter on it and was just eh--- My wife ordered the Cod which was literally cold in the middle of the fish. The cod was served with a cabbage creation which was very good. But It was as if the cod was frozen and they didn't cook it through. I was excited to order one of the homemade pasta dishes, so I ordered the lasagna bolognese. It was dry, w almost no sauce, and pretty bland. Great place for brunch! Parking is not ideal but so it goes in this area. Make a resy! It's an upscale dining with industrial and beautiful inside. Each meal and app was absolutely delicious. We also had the bottomless mimosas, which honestly were much too acidic with too much orange juice. Our server and staff were friendly. I personally had the biscuits and mushroom gravy which was made with local Flat 12 Mushrooms and absolutely divine and savory. Don't forget to try the crispy Brussels! Came here for a friends birthday. You have to pay for parking so be prepared for that. It is attached to the hotel so you have to go in through the hotel to get to the restaurant. When we came it was very empty, which was odd because our server barely came to our table to check up on us. (We were a party of 6) I didn't really like the lighting of the restaurant, it felt very off putting. Cocktails were absurdly priced & they lacked flavor. Food was great & very tasty. Still very expensive & the amount given was a little disappointing. Needless to say, I would recommend this place if it were only 2 people going. (Last visited 10/3/2021.) Hanging out in Buffalo for the weekend and you know how we do... we brunch. Lol. So we did our Yelp thing and found that Patina 250 offers bottomless mimosas, so this is where we wound up. Let me tell you how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right downtown on Delaware Avenue is this gem. It's on a city block so you'll need to find your own parking, but we found some on the street. The inside is very elegant, fashion-forward, chic and open. I loved the gentle, yet party-like aura of this place. The big windows let in a lot of light and lit up the room. Service: I can't remember the gentlemen's name that took care of us, but he was excellent. He never let our glass get too low, he was quick, had a funny personality and just was ready to party like we were. Food: So in order to get the bottomless mimosas you have to go with the Prix Fixe menu. Fine by me! So you get to choose an appetizer, a main course then for your drink you can go with a bottomless bellini, mimosa or Patina-label chardonnay or merlot! So I went with the jumbo lump crab cake for my appetizer and it was delicious. It was a bit different from crab cakes I've had in Baltimore, but it was still good. It was like... fluffier than what I've had and not as hearty. It comes with a pickled vegetable salad. For my entrée I went with the steak & eggs and it was amazing. It was a nice sirloin, cooked just how I asked with 2 sunny-side up eggs and a fluffy hash brown cube. It was the perfect amount of food and I'd love to try some other things on the menu next time! Value: So this place isn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. The Prix Fixe menu is $59.00 per person, but you get a good amount of food and all the drinks... you can drink. Lol. If you happen to be in the Buffalo area and looking for a delicious meal with top-notch service,-- then this is the place for you. I first had dinner here with my girlfriend on Sunday, the table next to us was celebrating a birthday, the service was not the best, but the rest of the week service was better. The dinner menu is different from lunch, and I believe the kitchen staff and manager change as well for weekdays. Went for Mother's Day 2024 and it was wonderful so we decided to re-book for this Mother's Day 2025. There were 8 of us. It was NOT good. There was no other option just mimosa, no other choice of juice (there were 4 choices last year!). For $79 per person(not including tip), you think they can offer another juice?? The food was average, not bad but definitely not one item where we said "this is good!" The avocado toast was so hard I could not bite into it. The desserts were actually very bad. I had to spit out the eclair (if that is what it was) It had a terrible taste. The service was fine, and the people working there were very nice. But, It was NOT worth the $800 we paid for our family. RIDICULOUS!!! Will never be going here again. There are so many great spots with good food that don't overcharge because it is a holiday. I think if you love this place, you love this. Otherwise it can be pretty meh. I've been here a few times, my first was during a Yelp event. The next time I came back was for brunch with a friend and we did the Continental breakfast which was decent. This last time was another brunch with friends. Regarding my most recent experience I ordered the pastrami hash with eggs. My dish had great visual appeal, thinly sliced potato , layered topped with pastrami, two eggs sunny side up and a horseradish soubise. The menu indicates peppers and onions however they were very scant. The soubise, very little placed on the plate was EVERYTHING and really added to the dish. I found the coffee to be very acidic. With the food being good the service was terrible. I'm not sure what was going on but our server barely gave the time of day and plenty of attitude. I should have known when I approached the host station and I got the "what do you want" look when I asked if could be seated (from the bar) as all of our guests arrived. It took quite some time to get drink ordered placed, then when a friend mentioned the food they wanted to order she quickly snarked she was only taking drink orders. Someone else brought out the food and she only occasionally came back to pour more mimosas and bellinis. Clearly the manager didn't care as he stayed at the host table within earshot and unless clueless could not missed the experience our table was having. Some of my friends are enthralled by this place, I however am not. I would come back if invited by a friend but it is certainly not at the top of list for places to brunch. read more

I brought my mom for a belated birthday brunch a few weeks ago and it was a great experience. When I made my reservation I noted that we were celebrating her birthday and I asked if they could make it special, and they did! When we were seated they placed a handwritten birthday card on our table, which was a very nice touch. We ordered the blueberry French toast, toastada, and short ribs with grits. Everything tasted good and was beautifully plated, but the French toast was the star of the show! Decadent, buttery soft, a flavor bomb. It was EVERYTHING. What a stunning spot in the city! My boyfriend and I were so stoked to give Patina 250's brunch a try. We had an a-okay time! The restaurant is beautiful. So much open light and it's right downtown so you really get a big-city feel here. The service was on-point, too. Our food came out quickly and our server was so attentive. We really appreciated that! Our food was just okay, which left us a little disappointed. I ordered the brioche French toast, it was a massive serving! The toppings were a little too sweet, but what really bummed me out was that about half of it still had raw batter on it. I was full by the time I reached the undercooked half, but I felt bad having our server toss it. My boyfriend got the classic eggs Benedict -- his came without hollandaise sauce and the biscuits the eggs were served on were a bit undercooked as well. Based on the rave reviews of this place, I think we possibly just came on an off day. I'd be willing to give Patina 250 another shot in the future, probably for dinner and drinks! read more

The food was a bit disappointing though. We had 2 pastas which were very good. But I ordered the scallops and while flavorful, they needed about 60 more seconds to cook. And the pine nuts were quite stale and beyond their "best by" date for sure. And our service......we felt like we were being rushed at times. The waiter took my plate that had the sauce for the pork belly without even asking if we were done (we were not). And we were not allowed to order our appetizers prior to ordering our meal. Very odd. I attended this bar with two friends last night. In the past I have always had a good experience at this establishment however after the treatment I received last night I will not be returning. It took the bartender 15 minutes to even acknowledge us after being seated at the bar. It seemed as though the bartender was behind on drinks so I tried to be understanding. I was prepared to walk out when he finally did come over. I ordered their margarita, my friend ordered southern comfort with Coca Cola, and my other friend ordered a Negroni. The bartender explained they don't serve southern comfort, but he could make something comparable. We agreed to let him try. After about 10 - 15 minutes we finally got our drinks. It took so long I was tempted to order our next round after receiving the first but then I thought better. I told my friends we should probably just have one and be done. My friend tried the drink that was supposed to be comparable to southern comfort and it was horrible according to him and it was missing Coca Cola. He was very disappointed especially because we waited so long. Then he ordered tequila and pineapple. The bartender rather than remaking the drink decided to wait on other people and make their drinks instead of remaking the one he just messed up. At that point my friend was outraged and went outside to vape. I finished my drink with my remaining friend and we payed our bill and left. My friend walked with me to the car and flipped off the bartender. Was this right? No, but neither was what happened next. The bartender opened the side door that lead to the street and decided to start yelling at my friend. My friend yelled back so now they're both screaming. I'm sure it disturbed diners. It was highly unprofessional. We were leaving...there was no need to engage with us at all in my opinion. If I was bartending and someone did that to me I'd ignore the rude person and continue doing my job. I have no doubt in my mind that in the same moment this man decided to argue with us he was behind on his drink orders. It seemed ridiculous to yell and scream at people walking away. I have never been treated that way before in an establishment that is aiming to be upscale. I saw a lack of class from that employee. I saw him lose his cool and that was a huge turn off for me. Even before this incident the food has always been just okay. Would I recommend this restaurant? Not after last night unfortunately. I would expect that behavior at a dive bar, but not a bar inside of the Westin. I did speak to a manger however it did not seem as though much would be done which drove me to write this review. I visited today which was my 3rd visit ever. I ordered the pastrami reuben, which is on a darker bread, and was surprised to find a significant amount of mold on the bread (1/4 of the way done with it). I will say since it was darker bread I could see how the kitchen staff could miss it. However the reason I'm writing this review is because it could have been handled better. My sandwich was comped (I didn't want anything else either) but my iced tea wasn't. My friend's sandwich (turkey) wasn't either (bill was about $20 bucks). I'm just surprised given the higher end nature of this restaurant I would have expected a situation like that be handled differently. read more
