Horrible phone service today. Talked to a supr. and they said they can't do anything about the fraudulent charges on my account.

The service at this Citi branch is extremely disappointing and, in my experience, unprofessional…read more On September 2, 2026, at approximately 1:15 p.m., I went to the branch to make a credit card payment. There was no teller at the counter. A staff member greeted me and explained that the teller was on a lunch break and that she did not have access to the teller system to assist me. I was told that I would need to come back in about 45 minutes. I was very disappointed and left. To avoid the lunch hour, I returned the following day, September 3, at approximately 3:25 p.m. Unfortunately, there was again no teller at the counter. The same staff member was there and told me that the teller was on a break and that she still did not have access to the computer system to process my payment. I find this very frustrating. I completely understand that employees need to take their breaks, but the branch should make reasonable arrangements so that customers can still receive basic banking services while a teller is on break. At the very least, there should be a clear notice at the entrance informing customers when teller service is unavailable. There are at lease six other banks on the same street, and I have never experienced this kind of situation at the other banks. If a branch cannot provide basic customer service during normal business hours, I have to question the purpose of having a branch office there in the first place. I hope Citi will take this feedback seriously and improve its staffing and customer service procedures.

Chase Bank - Tuesday, December 26, 2017: lobby.

Chase Bank

I have been banking here since 2013 or so. I originally had gone to the then new Martinez branch in…read morethe Lucky Plaza on Arnold Drive in late 2012, but they did not have safe deposit boxes. So after calling around a bit, I found this branch. It is in a very safe area, located at the Rossmoor Town Center. This is named after Rossmoor, a private wealthy senior citizen's residential community of homes called nearby. That is one of the first things the banker told me when I signed up (the branch manager, who since has retired). I laugh, since this used to be called just Rossmoor Shopping Center; and, until recently, was an outdated dinky little plaza, and still is in some ways. I guess they wanted to give it a more upscale image, just like the disgusting Hilltop Mall in Richmond, CA is now called the Shops at Hilltop or Hilltop by the Bay. There is also a older Safeway and newly-renovated CVS and Starbucks in this plaza, which is convenient. There also is a John Muir Heath outpatient center across the street and nice Rite Aid with a drive-thru too. If you come here during lunch, there is also some food truck parked outside on the street, due to all the health workers. Well, in regards to the bank itself, I have always received excellent service here from all the tellers and bankers. One even knows me by name (Chad). If there is more than one person in line, one of the bankers will come out to assist the tellers, so you never have to wait long. They had a nifty Customer Appreciation Day last May with taquitos, cookies, rice, beans, etc. It was over when I got there, but they still had plenty of leftovers, so I helped myself. They safe deposit box area is nice, since they have two private rooms to go to sort out the contents of the box. They used to have signature cards to compare your signatures to (in addition to checking your ID) before they let you get your box, but now it is all PIN based. One time, years ago, they had the signature card out in advance for me, since I used to come every day then for my safe deposit box, and they saw me arrive in my car. They also have water (warm usually from all the ice melting), coffee, and hot chocolate for customers, as well as suckers. The waiting area is nice, with plush easy chairs. (I sometimes have to wait here to see a banker before going to my safe deposit box). I have had to wait no more than five minutes usually. One time it was over 20 minutes and I had to be somewhere, so I left. The branch is always very clean. The pens they have tied down at the bank slip area before the teller windows were always out of ink in the past, but I have stopped using them anyway, in favor of my owns pens in my purse. The tellers area is nice, since there are no bars or thick security windows like at other Chase's. I have always been able to get parking up close in their small lot in front. Otherwise, you have to park farther away since there is a Safeway there. It was tight sometimes when they were doing the renovations in the main parking lot, as Safeway cheaters parked in Chase's parking area (against the rules). One even parked in the handicapped disabled stripe wheel chair access area. I called the police non-emergency line, but they didn't come in time. They have also been accepting when I deposit all my change here, to make my purse lighter. I usually make weird deposit amounts, like $2.17, lol. Oh, this branch does not have a drive-thru, due to their location in the plaza, but does have excellent handicap accessibility, due to all the senior citizens they serve.

I came with my neighbor to replace her debit card yesterday, Jose didn't seem willing to help that he said "do it online!" as cold as that. I noticed how impatient he was, so I urged him to be patient with us. This was day 1. Day 2 - We called Chase, we were asked to go to the branch to replace the card. Today, it was unfortunate that "Jose" tended to us again. We told him that Chase representative said we could get the debit card replaced at the branch, he was curt with his reply, and absolutely had no manners, no smile, like he wasn't happy to be there. I had to remind him again to be patient with the customers. He shouldn't be working there with that attitude.

Review #014 - 2026 I…read morerarely make my way out to this location unless it is on a Saturday, which I've only visited twice in the two years that I am employed at my company. My first experience around Christmas time was normal since I had to come get cash for our company bonus and everything went pretty smoothly. Today, June 20th, we arrived around 12:30 PM and it was a little busy so I was patient and understanding when they asked me to wait almost 15 minutes just to make a simple deposit. However, when it was my turn, the teller, Gina Lopez, was not so happy to see that I had some loose coins in my deposit bag. I try very hard to be accommodating and roll up all of my loose coins if they actually add up to a full roll. I rolled up the quarters since it was a full roll. However, the nickels and dimes didn't so I just left them loose. Her first comment was, "you're supposed to roll up all the coins!" with a sour face. Of course, I replied as such, "I rolled up the quarters because they added up to a full $10, but the others didn't add up to a full roll." So, she pretended to be a little friendlier as I sat there and ignored her while writing this review while she counted my coins. If you don't want to count, maybe don't get a job at the bank! I've never told any of my customers that they aren't allowed to pay in coins just because I was too lazy to count their money.
