We have used Zack and his team several times in the past few years and wouldn't use anyone else when buying a home. They are extremely professional, providing a number of available options and easy to understand explanations on what works best for whatever situation you are in. They are also very responsive to any questions and regularly check in to make sure everything is on track through the entire process. Can't say enough good things about Team Cooper, will definitely continue to use them for any future home purchases. read more

Zackry and Team Cooper are my "Go-To" Lenders for many reasons. They are someone that I can completely trust to put my home buyers needs first. Their communication, professionalism, and knowledge make a big difference in my transactions. I feel confident directing my home buyers towards Zackry, knowing he is going to make the time to have that initial conversation with them and then be there with them every step of the way until close of escrow! read more

We used Zackry and his team for a mortgage on our first home. When things could have turned disastrous with the builder, Zackry and team really went above and beyond to provide solutions and keep promises. Every step of the way, Zack had our back. I would work with him and his team again, and will be referring business his way if anyone I know needs these services. read more

This review is LONG overdue. Zackry Cooper was our loan agent on a new home purchase through KB Homes. Zackry was the "preferred agent" which entitled us to a 10k closing credit. I can say with all honesty that I would have gladly paid the 10k in closing to not have to deal with this company. They were incredibly unresponsive at every step of the way. We had a target date that we needed to close by due to an expiring lease at our rental and scheduled movers and everyone was able to do what was necessary to hit the target except for Zackry Cooper. No one ever answered their phone regardless of when we called. No one returned calls and typically had to leave messages over a few days span to get a response. We have our house but our experience with Zackry Cooper left a huge negative impression on the entire process. I wasn't planning on writing a review as this experience was 2 years ago. Here is why I am writing... They CONSTANTLY bombard us with spam mail, calls, text messages, etc. A week after we moved in to our home, we got a mailer from Zackry Cooper telling us that he had personally reviewed our loan and we were not getting the best rate possible, asking us to refinance. YOU GOT US THIS RATE ZACK! We closed a week ago! No matter what you do, they won't stop sending you junk mail, emails, calls, texts. The kicker came this week. I received an email from Zack letting me know that he had signed me up to receive emails from a third party. Gee thanks Zack! Spam from you isn't enough so you are signing me up for your buddy's garbage as well? Lot's of great reviews here but as a person who has previously bought a home with another broker that actually worked to help us, I would avoid like the plague. There is much better out there. read more

We have used Zackry's team yet again for a refinance and it has been wonderful! They have stayed in touch with us regularly since becoming initial customers in 2017, and we are still so grateful for a trustworthy team to guide us along the way of home purchasing, financial guidance, refinancing and general questions on this subject! We had nothing less than an exceptional experience as first time home buyers with Zackry and his team. Jon, in particular, guided us along the whole way and answered all of the questions that could possibly come to mind and was our "go to guy" from day one. Everyone we interacted with were extremely responsive and informative and we have no complaints whatsoever. They made the process for us extremely understandable and made our dream home a reality! We really want to thank everyone that took part in our purchase of our home, we truly appreciate the wonderful experience!! Highly recommend to anyone in need of such services. Thank you thank you!! read more

The home buying process was a nightmare for me and my wife. That's until Zack, Sahar and team came together to the rescue! We found the condo of our dreams, made an offer and it was accepted, but halfway through the contract our lender at US Bank informed us that they wouldn't be able to fund us. What we didn't realize was that banks and traditional lenders aren't nearly as flexible as private lenders like Zack. If it wasn't for him and his team, we would have lost the deal.. the deal of a lifetime! HUGE thanks to Sahar who pulled through, working tirelessly to push through our paperwork and get us approved. I can't thank Zack's team enough for getting me and my wife into our very first home!!! read more

Zackry Cooper - Mortgage Brokers Near Me - Lafayette, California

I'll come at this from a different perspective, as I think it's valuable, and not likely a review you would read from an individual in another profession. The feedback that I've received from Zackry's clients and referral partners has been overwhelmingly positive. Speaking from my own experience, his team works NON-STOP to deliver on the service expectations they set up front. Will you be receiving a daily phone call from Zackry? Not likely. Will you have one of the most organized, efficient, service-oriented teams at your disposal? Absolutely. I had an opportunity to visit Zackry's office this past month, and they are one of the most well-oiled machines in the mortgage world. Sahar and Natasha work to keep every puzzle piece aligned and on schedule, and they have their own resources to use as options when the daunting task of buying a home leaves a person a bit unorganized. A good lender will give a buyer a giant checklist and tell them to get to work (and hopefully wish them good luck). A great lender will give a buyer that same checklist, and tell them "let us know if you need help handling any of these tasks". An AMAZING lender will have a solid team behind the scenes to handle most of those tasks for you, and that's exactly what Team Cooper provides. YES, you'll have to track down some personal information, that's expected. But coordinating appraisals, inspections, having multiple insurance resources, and actually laying out a calendar so that YOU know what's happening during the loan process is priceless, and Team Cooper has set this bar extremely high. If you're in the Real Estate world, I'd recommend pointing your buyers in this direction for pre-approval. For those interested in buying or re-financing, Team Cooper is an outstanding resource to have on your side. read more

Buying a home in this market is not easy. You need a broker that is responsive, experienced, and, quite frankly, aggressive. Zackry and his team are all of these things, and we likely would not have been able to get the house that we wanted for the price that we wanted without them. We are first-time homebuyers. I was referred to Zackry by our real estate agent, and he answered the first time I called. He walked me through the process clearly and concisely, then put me in touch with someone on his team to start gathering the necessary paperwork (there's a lot). The site used to upload all the docs was easy enough to use, and within a week we had our preapproval. Jon Bridge is the back-of-house guy there, and he walked us through our preapproval. Being first-time homebuyers, we had lots of questions, and he answered them all in a way that was easy for us to understand. He explained to us how preapprovals were calculated, and that we had some room to move up in price if we wanted, but there was no pressure applied. We did not have a completely straightforward lending situation, and Jon helped us get all our ducks in a row before we started making offers, so that we could move quickly when needed. And so we started making offers on houses. Zackry and his team are able to meet the competitive "close of escrow" timeline that are table stakes in making an offer. There are so many ways to lose out on an offer, you don't want it to be because your COE was too long. We lost the first two bids, mainly because of conservative pricing and an unwillingness to drop key contingencies. Finally we had an offer accepted! This is where Zack and his team really earned their money. The first appraisal did not match the sale price (maybe good in a buyer's market, but bad in this market - makes the down payment too large unless the seller lowers the price). Zackry and his team quickly recognized some fundamental errors in how the first appraisal was calculated, appealed it, and had a new appraisal complete before the end of the week. Meanwhile, because of his relationships in the area, Zackry was able to keep things moving along with the seller's agent, and we were able to close on the agreed open date. We took possession of our house last week. There is not a lot that differentiates lenders at face value. Similar rates, similar fees, etc. With Zackry's team, you get the peace of mind of having full transparency into the mechanism that gives you an obscene amount of money/debt, as well as an ally that will close the deal in a market where deals fall through more often than you'd expect. 100% recommend. read more

I have been working with Zack Cooper for over four years and I consider him a local partner in the home financing process. Together with his team he has consistently excelled with all the clients we have referred to him. His clients think about home financing a few times during their lifetime, but he thinks about it every day. It's his profession and his passion. As a realtor I work with all types of clients, From VA to the multiple million conventional buyers , any of them can be complex but he makes them all work, he understands that not everyone fits into the traditional "banker's box". Communication has been one of the keys to him and his team success. They understand the importance of being available to clients and referral partners beyond traditional banking hours. If they are available to answer your calls, emails, and texts , they will not leave you waiting for a response. As I am sure you know, a real estate transaction does not start at 9am and end at 5pm just because the retail banks are closed and having a lender like Zack and his team available on weekends for questions is essential in the current real estate climate. As a realtor I work most weekends doing open houses and I need a lender like Zack who can reached for advice when I need it read more

Working with Team Cooper has been great, they were quick and meticulous when we bought our new house and were the only people we wanted to call when it came time to refinance our old house. By FAR our easiest Re-Fi to date! Zack and his staff were amazing. Super efficient, timely in their response to our questions and concerns and explained things we were unfamiliar in a way that was simple and easy to take in. We worked mostly with Kari and she was very down to earth and easy to chat with. I'm sure that all of the same papers and forms were required this time as in the past but it felt so much less stressful and less like "I'LL never do this again"... We will undoubtedly do a Re-Fi again, and when we do I'll remember this experience and be going back to Zack Cooper and his team at Parkside Lending read more

Zack here did a fantastic job advising me and giving me home-buying options that I hadn't considered. He and his team were absurdly friendly, very quick to assess my situation, spent a very informative hour and a half with me today, and he was honest enough to suggest options that would benefit me much more than himself. Money is always a touchy and/or stressful topic, and and somehow he manages to make it all easier to handle. When it comes time to really utilize a mortgage company, I'm calling Zack. I suggest you do as well. read more

I am a real estate broker and Zack has been my go-to mortgage provider for about four years. He does what he says he's going to do when he says he's going to do it. I can write offers for my buying clients and assure the listing agent that the most dangerous place in real estate is between Zack and me and a close date. He. Gets. It. Done. That's not to say either one of us has commission breath. We will both let our clients know if we think a deal is maybe not the best thing for them in plain language that can be understood. But if you want the house, Zack can get'r done. read more

I was referred to Zack and the instant we made contact I realized we were going to be taken care of. We initially made contact via email, and that let to a skype type conversation where he really explained the process we would embark on, In full detail. Experience is definitely the best teacher and he has it. He knows his stuff, and he has connections. I referred my father over to him, mind you my father came to this country in 1981 and has never took the steps necessary to own real estate; too much fear. Zack connected us to his preferred agent in Houston, TX. and now my father's been pre-approved! He's on his way to his first home. As my fiancee and I will soon also be! It was an absolute pleasure working with Zack and his team (Sahar Milani, Alex Tanjuakio and Sommer Jackson). I've been working with him and his team through my buying process for a few years. During the process he has been nothing but kind, patient, informative, helpful, available, transparent and honest (most importantly). For example, Zack would always give me a call to follow up on the process and to ensure I was taking care of properly. He was also very responsive to my questions, especially explaining rate questions. His team was and still is awesome. They were all very personable, helpful and quick at producing quality work. I am now a homeowner and Im glad Zack and his team took me to the finish line. read more

Zack & his team were on top of their game during our home buying process. In the end, our closing date got moved around a couple times but that was really just due to Zack's team get trying to get us the best rate, which they did -- it was well worth it. I'd like to specifically call out Sahar for being very patient with my fiancé and I and all our questions. Zackry Cooper and his team are simply AMAZING!!! I recently was trying to purchase a home and needed to get financing. I first called Bank of America because I had a home loan with them years ago. The broker that I worked with was very nice and got me pre-approved quickly. That is where the good experience with BofA ended. The broker subtly began hinting that pre-approval didn't mean that I would actually get funding from them which was very confusing. Then my best friend told me about Zack and his team. She had worked with Zack on several loans and even recommended her sister to him. I called and spoke with Zack. I explained that BofA was giving me the run around and told him about the complexity of my loan/credit situation. He agreed that my situation was complicated but assured me that he would be able to help me. He then passed me along to his team member Jon Bridge. Jon was great! He worked very hard on my paperwork through the holidays and made it clear that pre-approval meant they had a loan for me. Following my pre-approval, I was passed on to Jordan Navarro to help with the processing. Jordan was fantastic to work with!!! She was so professional, easy to get in contact with, and put me at ease. During my time working with Zackry's team, my broker from BofA called and said that, despite the fact that I had been pre-approved for my loan, an underwriter decided they were not moving forward with funding. Thank God I was already working with Zack's team!!! They never pulled any funny business like that and now I am a home owner. It feels great and I am extremely grateful. If you're shopping for a loan, call Zackry Cooper. You will not be disappointed! read more

We have gone with Zackry Cooper's office (People's Home Equity) for our original mortgage and a refinance and their service is fantastic. Here are some specs: 1. On the original mortgage, we were moving to California from Massachusetts and had to close both houses within 72 hours of each other while we were driving across the country. Without the coordination and organization of everyone in Zackry's office we would have been so lost. They definitely went the extra mile to make sure all the pieces were in place and got us in our new home the moment we rolled into town after an exhausting trip. 2. On the refi, we worked with Stephanie and Natasha and they worked out a variety of different scenarios and helped us get the best deal possible. Not only were we able to lower our interest rate, we were able to claim a much larger equity stake (due to a better appraisal), and take a cash-out option to put into some long-term projects. Everything was smooth and expedient. What we loved about working with Zackry's office. 1. No one pressured us into anything. They presented options, gave us their opinion on the pros and cons of each and never made us feel like they were selling us anything. 2. Everyone in the office is very responsive to both calls and email and made sure they answered all of our questions. 3. Their rates are very reasonable. We ended up spending around 2.5% of the total loan value on closing costs which is on the lower end of the average mortgage broker (typically estimated at 2% - 5% of total loan value). Definitely recommended. read more

Words cannot express how grateful I am for being pointed in the direction of Zack and his team. Through a long drawn out process of purchasing a 'new build' home they were there for me. American Pacific Mortgage - couldn't have been happier. I just closed on my loan with American Pacific Mortgage and Zack Cooper and his team are rockstars. Not only did I get pretty competitive rates on a investment home, the process was handled very smoothly throughout. I felt like a valued client and had multiple people taking care of various aspects of the process from loan processing, to their online platform support, to client communication and with Zack himself checking in often to make sure I was happy with the service. My loan officer was Kari and the day I signed up I had an introductory video message from Kari and she helped move things along nicely. They worked closely with my agent, the escrow company, the underwriting team and also the exchange company as I was doing a 1031 exchange. Even when I had a minor hiccup along the way Kari promised to help me out even after we closed though it was not their issue. She also closed my loan almost 4 days earlier than promised. Overall I couldn't have asked for more from this engagement and I'll be sure to always give them the first right to refuse my business! Felt like I was working with family . An excellent team with a great set of values! read more

I highly recommend working with the Zackry Cooper Team as a lender. When I first started the home buying process I was working with a different lender that just wasn't working out - I didn't hear back, I struggled to get the necessary paperwork, and my questions weren't getting answered. After hearing my struggles with my lender, my realtor referred me to the Zackry Cooper Team so I reached out and spoke to Zackry. During our initial call, Zackry ensured me his team could outperform my previous lender - and I'm glad I trusted him because they did (overwhelmingly)! As soon as I agreed to switch over, his team jumped in and got the ball rolling on my file - catching me up and getting me ready for a loan within just a week or two. Their online tools made it super easy to complete and submit the bulk of the documentation necessary to secure my loan. His team worked together to move me through the process, keeping me in the loop each step of the way, and resolving issues before they became problems. Their optimism, dedication, knowledge, and support, carried me through what could have been one of the most stressful times of my life. I struggled to find the perfect home and went through a few deals before finally finding and getting the perfect home - but they never gave up on me, pressured me, or showed any signs of frustration when things didn't go as planned. They supported me through each deal without hesitation and kept me going! Not only that, they went above and beyond to help me with each step of the process and with answering all my many questions, especially Sommer, Natasha, and Sahar - thank you all so much! Also Zackry regularly sent personalized video updates and called to check in for big updates - which was an appreciated added-touch. Not to mention the personalized gifts they sent along the way, which were all awesome and heart-warming. Zackry Cooper Team made my home buying process so much easier for me get through and I am so grateful to have found the team and to have worked with them. They are knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and passionate about their work. I'm hoping I won't be in the market for a home anytime soon, now that I finally got my dream home, but if and when I am in the market again, I would definitely work with them again. I highly recommend them as a lender and will refer my friends and family their way. Thank you Zackry Cooper Team! You rock! read more
