I recently relocated and am renting my condo. In preparation for our association budget, I found Patch Landscaping via Yelp for an overhaul of our compact front yard. We hired Patch to redo our backyard landscaping which was a total mess. From the beginning, Api was very communicative and clear, even going as far as to break down the estimates so I could understand the full scope of work. The team that was sent out arrived exactly on time, they were really efficient. The work was not easy (a lot of regrading of the soil, cutting back overgrown bushes, and fixing the patio). This place isn't very neighborhood friendly. They painted fake yellow lines around regular parking spots. They park their trucks in public spots taking away parking from residents. They also plow the snow out of their property and create a pile of snow that takes up about two parking spots. Garbage humans !!! Do not support them !!!! read more

We are in our second year with Patch Landscaping and I felt it was necessary to write an updated review. For whatever reason, this season has not been good. It began last fall when the leaves were consistently blown into the sewer causing it to be clogged. Fast forward to the "Spring Clean-up" and I have to say it and the weekly service we have received have been quite a let down. I have spoken to several people there including the site supervisor and the service has not improved. I am not sure what has happened there, but the results are not good. read more

I didn't realize Patch responded to my initial review years back. The response is a great example of the type of service they deliver. But I need to clarify a few things. First, I was never told sod was not a solution for my front yard by Patch or anyone. Second, we followed the watering instructions Patch provided. Sprinklers were on timers and we monitored moisture levels carefully. Third, the trees were rather small and didn't completely shade the lawn. As a matter of fact, other plants and flowers thrive each year. Fourth, our lawnmower was brand new- the building was only 3 years old at the time of this install and upto that year a handyman was cutting the lawn. The service we hired to install the new lawn AFTER Patch went so far as to soil test and check grading/ drainage. All was fine. The sod from that install is still in the yard today. read more

Every year I have a Halloween tradition, I go to Sonny Acres for pumpkin picking and what not. Unfortunately this year I just didn't have the time which was really upsetting. I had time to carve pumpkins just not the long drive there and back. After much sulking I finally remembered a place near by called Patch. It's located just north of Peterson on Ridge on the right side; if you weren't looking you would miss it. There isn't much to the place because it's a lot for a landscaping business that just happens to sell pumpkins and Christmas trees on the holidays. But it's got that neighborhood charm to it, family run and family friendly. I was surprised at how full it was for a Sunday afternoon, even still I was able to look over all the pumpkins without any interference. They also give you coupons for your next visit. Not bad at all, I think I know where I'm getting my Christmas tree!! read more

3 of us next door neighbors re-sodded our back yards and hired Patch. They worked quickly and at first appeared to do a good job. We all watered meticulously. 3 months after the sod was laid, all our lawns began to get destroyed by grubs. Patch came out when one of us complained, and the answer given was that the lawn had grubs and needed to use a pesticide. Turns out, our whole area is known to have grubs. Patch did not contact any of the rest of us or follow up to ask how our lawn was coming along. When they saw 3 houses in a row have the same problem they washed their hands of it and said there was nothing they could do. One of us neighbors had the money to pay another landscaper to resod his yard again. It was then that this landscaper explained that fertilizer and anti grub treatment should always be placed in the topsoil under the sod because the grub problem is everywhere and any landscaper should know that. For our part we threw $2000 down the drain for nothing. Do not recommend. read more

He did reach out to me, but only AFTER I posted my review. Sorry, but that's too late in my book. Why would I use this company now, months (almost a year and a half) after I first inquired? I found another company that called me back the same day and gave me a quote the following day - that is customer service! Sorry, but if I owned my own business, I would spend less time calling people liars and rats on Yelp and instead do a better job of returning customer's phone calls. read more

A week later, after hearing nothing, I called again. Again, I was told that they would email a quote. However, no quote ever came. read more

This is an update on a previous review in which I raved about Patch. I have since changed that perspective. They are mismanaged and unprofessional. Their landscapers do not perform the work asked of them, and apparently just refuse to do certain tasks. I have had the same issue for several years and with nagging it gets done, but that should not be necessary. Like another reviewer, they have missed appointments and failed to return calls. When we do get through-they claim their answering system is down. I have used them for MANY years and also referred customers. I am sorry that I did that and will likely be shopping for a company that is run by adults. read more

My family has used Patch's services for a couple of years now and have never had any issues with them. Every time we have needed their services they have been great about setting up appointments and always do a good job. We had a rotting tree in our backyard and needed it uprooted and they came in the next day and the job was finished the same day. Spoke to a representative and after getting all of my information I finally explained that I was calling for a snow removal quote. Then she informed me that they are full this season. Very disappointed. I needed new mulch and old mulch and plastic pulled up from the side of my house. I received one estimate and thought I'd get another quote from a local business. A guy showed up to give me a quote--looked at the small area that needed to be done and said he'd--get back to me---In a WEEK! When I didn't hear back after 2 weeks, I called them. No apologies. Then they sent an email quote for way more than I asked them to do and double the price. They obviously didn't want my business. All the better for me. read more
