Martinez was the most personable, knowledgable AND affordable. What we expected to be complicated work ( dig out and replace with the right soil, move back the turf and more), became must more straight forward. The install & level of service was excellent. Install happened with two days of receiving the trees and they were even able to accommodate a last minute ask from us. In addition, with some questions on the trees (weeks later), without even needing to set an appointment, they stopped by and made some tweaks to ensure the best for the trees future (and us). We engaged Brad last fall/winter of 2017 as we were determined which landscape firm we were going to go with. Brad was one of the first to come out, and his quote was most reasonable. The only thing you won't get with Brads company is a digital design. He will manually draw a design on paper, which I could accept given that his costs all in were about 20% less than competitors. One of things I really liked about Brad, was his recommendations. I had an idea of what I wanted, but he tied it all together with what would work best in the spots we were filling taking in consideration sunlight, accessibility from dogs, etc. So the upfront experience was great, now on to the actual work and implementation. Brad was really transparent about changes that needed to be made given the crazy spring (or lack there of) that Chicago experienced this year. It wasn't always stuff I wanted to hear, but I appreciated his communication effort. The quality and workmanship were great, and Brad helped coordinate with irrigation. His crew was pleasant to have around and our place turned out fantastic. Would strongly recommend the Landscaper Guy. For reference, we had the following services: Landscape installation (trees, bushes, shrubs, mulch, beds, grass seed) Irrigation coordination Outdoor lighting installation (we purchased the lights from Home Depot) Planter creation for under our front patio next to the front door

About 14 years ago, when we completed a renovation to the back of the house, we contracted them to install the new patio, and they did a great job. The one thing that stands out is their staff and their service. Early on, we had a dog who ran in the back yard. Besides requiring that the gate be locked, if she was out they had to pay attention which they always did. Also, if we needed them to pay attention so something different, sweep a storm drain or take care of some aphids, this gladly did it. Definitely recommend them.
