This is an excellent outdoor space to enjoy the trees, the ponds, the ducks, and the trails. It's so peaceful to walk along the Truckee River, too; the sound of water is quite relaxing. There are 49 acres total at this community park, which also features a swimming pool, playgrounds, a skate park, picnic tables, bbq area, volleyball courts, baseball fields, and public restrooms. I was here early enough to witness the sunrise, too--gorgeous. This is a great space in Reno!

Several homeless people were lying in the grassy areas. There are no bathrooms at this park. There is no playground equipment at this park. The playground is unique and offers a lot to play on. Wood chips are underneath the playground. There are swings and toddler swings at this park. We since moved away from Reno, so it was special to be able to return after all this time with our children. My bias aside though, Im a firm believer there are few parks in the country that are as good as this one. To start, its HUGE! I don't think I've really ever seen the whole thing. There are rolling fields of grass, an "arboretum" which is like taking a walk in the mountains, a lake, playgrounds, a museum, gardens, a dog park, and idk what else. It's so beautiful wherever you go, and you can easily sink a day into exploring here.

AMENITIES: Barbecue, basketball court, pathways, picnic shelter, playgrounds, tables/benches, and year-round restrooms. You need bathrooms on the other side of the park also. Atmosphere - Part of the 1962 acre master community. 8 acres put aside for this park. Open space, wetland, etc. Service - N/A, self service. Price - Free. Owner Suggestion - Thank you for such a nice park, but can I suggest more shade? And another set of bathrooms on the other side of the park.

We used to bring my kiddos to this park a when they were little. There's a good amount of shade, ample parking, There are restroom facilities with bright night lighting. A large stretch of grass and even a walking trail makes for some good stroller cruisin'! I'd say a highlight to this park is the awesome view and location. We paid $250 for the rental through the city of Reno. Just so you know, the power outlets DO NOT WORK. We used our vehicles for power outlets ;)
