This little short block along 1st Street--if you blink, you'll miss it. Love the few art pieces and love how all the flowers are colorful and in bloom right now.

When we arrived here and were able to find metered street parking for only $1.50 right in front of one of the sculptures, I was psyched. We walked up and down the area and looked around for 30 minutes or so on a lovely day in May. I will say I was slightly underwhelmed as we only saw a few pieces of art and the worst part for me personally was that there were lots of people everywhere...from a family we saw throwing garbage at ducks in the water, to people who appeared to be camping, to people with booths selling masks and other items... Still, I enjoyed sitting in the shade by the water and enjoying the breeze with my pup for a bit. I also enjoyed the lovely flowers planted all over. I would not come back and even if I lived here, I would probably still never return, but I would recommend a quick stop to anyone visiting the area. It's not an unpleasant way to spend and hour of your afternoon, especially if you enjoy people watching, which I don't.

A well shaded park on the Truckee Riverwalk just west of Arlington Street One or two clubs take care of planting beautiful flowers throughout the park in the spring, and weed it during the summer. Three or four years ago a few art sculptures were placed in the park. There is limited meter parking along the north edge. During the summer there is the occasional guitarist playing, a hobo selling rock art and Italian ice vendors. It can also be strewn with several homeless people/ groups that nap in the shade or just hang out together.

This little pocket park has been here for a while, but the Sculpture Garden is a new addition to the Riverwalk area. Rotary Club of Reno crated and will maintain this park as a free, open, public art spot for all of the residents and visitors to Reno. The collection is quite eclectic from tongue in cheek representational to abstract. There is probably something here to appeal to everyone. It serves as a nice transition between the large "Butterfly" and the sculptures at Lear Theater. I love how Reno is turning into an Art Town for all seasons.

Larger than life sculpture of....yes....you guessed it. :)

We used to bring my kiddos to this park a when they were little. There's a good amount of shade, ample parking, There are restroom facilities with bright night lighting. A large stretch of grass and even a walking trail makes for some good stroller cruisin'! I'd say a highlight to this park is the awesome view and location. We paid $250 for the rental through the city of Reno. Just so you know, the power outlets DO NOT WORK. We used our vehicles for power outlets ;)
