Our server was so sweet. I personally like the food a lot. Best charcuterie board for $13. Gave us a free desert of our choice because we had to wait a little longer for our food (table of 10 and two tables of 4 sat right before us all with same server.) place was packed. read more

We are from Spokane in for a volley ball tournament, we went in Friday January 14th for dinner and we're so disappointed. The hostess told us 20/25 minute wait, an hour later we finally got seated and from there we were told it would be about a 30 minute wait for food because there were so many to gos (idk why they are prioritizing to gos and not people sitting in front of them) but we felt patient so we decided to stay, our server gave us our drinks and then must've forgot about us. We didn't even get our appetizers and the table next to us who got sat 30 minutes after we ordered got theirs, and we had the same server so I waved him down and had to ask about our food/ appetizers about 45 minutes after we placed our order and he said that our appetizers would come out with our food????) then that same table got their entrees and we hadn't even gotten appetizers or drink refills. So I had to wave down a different server (because ours wasn't telling us anything) and we left after waiting an hour to be sat and an hour and a half for our food that we didn't even get. Super disappointing, we were super excited to try it... we ended up at Carl's Jr. and their service was WAY better... I don't recommend going there on weekend/ busy nights, they'll probably forget about you like they did us. read more

"Service was great, timely and friendly. Food was outstanding! I look forward to enjoying pasta and wine on the patio this summer."

This was my first time at this restaurant and Megan was my server. I had lots of questions because I'm picky about my pasta and she was AMAZING. She didn't act annoyed or rushed me. I love a good server, changes the whole experience for better or worse. The food is amazing I had the pesto something. I'm not huge on a strong pesto taste but this was the perfect flavor. They have a good happy hour as well! We got the bread with cheese and marinara and it was delicious! Drinks were strong and good. I highly recommend this if you want pasta!!! The place is very cute as well. read more

SOSO... AMAZING ATMOSPHERE... food definitely not the best... The bread is nothing special and the pasta isn't either.. Olive Garden I would choose over this... Not impressed and wouldn't come back. If the pasta came out warm and the flavor was satisfying I would reconsider.. It's over priced for very average food.. read more

My wife and I went to try this place out and I was not expecting much but I was very plesently surprised! The foods was really good, meatballs were great. As good as the food was it wasn't exceptional, it is 5 star because of the service! Sumner or server was great! We got good service and laughs!personality an A+ ! read more

Tried this tonight, searching for a nice Italian place in Eugene. Granted, we have been spoiled by an amazing Italian place in Florida, near our home there, and we have done all the other Italian eateries in Eugene. The atmosphere and the service were quite nice, as was the Chef's plate appetizer. My wife's martini was good, although served in a short cocktail glass, ( "we're out of martini glasses "),8 and my glass of Pinot Noir was very nice. The entrees were lacking. My wife's linguine dish, with chicken piccata was boring, lacking the caper/lemon flavor of good piccata. And seriously overpriced for the amount of chicken and capers provided in the linguine. My baked Ziti was more than disappointing. I've had better from the supermarket, frozen. Yes, the sausage in the Ziti was ok, but the pasta itself was boring, mostly cheese and lacked any kind of marinara sauce or flavor beyond the sausage, other than sticky cheese. Even the garlic bread, charged as an upgrade with the meal was uneventful and boring. Disappointing. As I said, the service was adequate, as was the atmosphere, but not enough to overcome the shortcomings of the food. We won't be back. read more

I like to think of myself as a patient and understanding guy. My partner and I went in and were seated promptly, brought some water, and maybe 5-10 minutes later our order was placed with two drinks, some garlic bread as an appetizer, and two entrees. Another group came in and sat down nearby, had their order placed, all good. Maybe 5 minutes later, the group next to us was brought their drinks. Kinda weird, they were a larger group, and ordered after us, but whatever. 5 minutes later, we were brought our drinks, which were tasty. Then we wait. One thing to note is that this location has a deal for takeout on Tuesdays, so they were very busy with takeout orders. Unfortunately, to the point where they were ignoring those dining-in, in favor of the takeout orders. Maybe 15 minutes later, the larger group next to us was brought an appetizer, the same one we ordered... weird. We've been sitting for maybe 30 minutes at this point, no appetizer, no food, just our two drinks. About 10 minutes later, the group next to us is brought their salads. Again, we have nothing, and I'm frustrated. Ended up asking the waitress (who was very kind and understanding) for our check, and wanted to point out that the group who came in after us had already been served two of their courses, when we hadn't had anything yet. She brought the check, and I asked to speak to the manager. He came over and told us that he had heard that we were in a hurry and didn't want to wait for food. No, I don't consider waiting an hour for an appetizer and being frustrated "in a hurry," but if that's how you want to see it, fine. Then, he completely threw his server under the bus. "I'm sorry, she's new with us." Okay, that's what made me angry. It's a managers role to make sure things are going smoothly, and to take responsibility if they aren't. The fact that he immediately turned the blame onto his staff shows that he shouldn't be a manager. I would've accepted "I'm sorry, we have some newer staff and are busier than normal" but she was standing 5 feet away (delivering the other groups full entrees at this point) as he was blaming her for our lack of food. This was our first time here, and very likely our last time here. It was super frustrating. I'll make sure to let everyone know not to come here. Even if you get good service, the fact that the manager wouldn't take responsibility is disgusting. Treat your staff better. read more

Food was ok. My husband's bread was dry. No salad comes with the meal. Our server was excellent. We probably not go back.

Good food and service. The spicy shrimp fettuccine had great flavors and was a decent potion (took home about a third of it). The chocolate tartufo with vanilla gelato was delicious! We'd definitely return here. read more

Thought they should give basket of bread free Had to pay extra for bread and salad Small portion for the special Meal that is good is the Gorgonzola pasta dish Atmosphere not great either Waitress not very experienced or attentive Was supposed to get a refund for the small special and never received from owner read more

Relaxing place for a quick bite and nice cocktail. We ordered the baked ziti, ceasear salad, pesto linguini with sliced sausage, sun-dried tomatoes and shrimp. Our server overheard that we were on a time limit and had our food and drink out in a pinch. Our server Isaiah H. was very attentive, quick, professional and polite. Unfortunately I had to take a star away, because what looked like someone from the management team was disciplining an employee right in front of our view, which kind of took away from the relaxing vibe that we were seeking. Another gentlemen who also looked like a member of the management team was looking at all of the diners including us with a scowl. I understand overseeing your customers to make sure that their experience is what it should be, but don't give them a scowl when they notice you staring. From a customer's perspective, the food was great for a chain, the drinks are exceptional, the service from our server was above and beyond, but their management team needs some coaching. read more

Pastini - Italian Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

Had lunch there this week. Very pleasantly surprised! Portions are large, food was delicious, service was very personable. Took my friend for her birthday and the waitress comped her a tiramisu (delicous!) with a candle and NO SINGING!!! Caesar salad accompanying our entrees was huge and delicious - crispy croutons, well tossed with anchovy dressing. read more

My whole experience here was ok. There were people who greeted us as soon as we walked in, which was nice. We got seated quickly, and our food came out relatively fast. However, the quality of our food weren't that great. I liked how our food was relatively less salty they other places, but their quality of pasta weren't good. We ordered three pastas, and all three of them had fettuccine, which were stuck together. For the price of our pasta, it was not worth it. Plus, our server didn't refill our drinks, so we had to ask them. read more

Came to Pastini for the first time today with my partner. Our first impression was most items on their menu were overly priced. Their pasta dishes range from $14-16 per plate. And the food items that we were mostly interested in were listed on their 'daily specials', so most we couldn't have. One of our plates we received had really dry chicken and there was a hair in the dish. The cooks were not wearing hair nets. The manager said they are required to wears hats if it's shorter than a certain length. Though we were comped for the meal, we won't be coming back. read more

(The second star is because the server was attentive and friendly, the food barely deserves one star.) If you think Olive Garden is great, you might be able to tolerate this food, otherwise run for the hills. We went there for the first time this week to give them a try. The "five cheese" lasagna I had, had barely any cheese on it. The little bit there was was just a sprinkling of pre-grated mozzarella that was barely melted. It appeared to be microwaved, although I can't say that for certain. Overall, it looked and tasted like a Stouffer's lean cuisine TV dinner. The salad was OK, but someone decided that adding limp green beans to "spring greens" was a good idea. My wife's asparagus pasta was thoroughly unremarkable and bland. The wine list is a joke! They are selling San Giorgio Pinot Grigio, that you can buy at MoC for $5.99, for $36! I doubt this place will survive for long - it was also deserted. read more

I finally tried Pastini after wanting to try it for a very long time! We went around 8pm. It wasn't too busy, and we were seated right away. We placed our order, and everything was great. We got the artichoke dip (yum!) and I got the gnocchi (also yum!) Unfortunately, soon after I got my food, my waitress got hers. She got a full meal and sat at a booth with 4-5 other wait staff and ate and talked to them. I figured she would at least check on us to see if we needed anything, but she didn't. We finished our food and were in need of boxes and our check. The waitress kept talking and eating at her booth, no help to be found. After about 15 minutes of hoping she would realize we needed our checks and boxes, I finally walked up to the hostess and asked for a box and for her to print our check. She helped us, and when we left our waitress was still eating her dinner with the other wait staff, laughing and chatting. We also were not the only table in that predicament, as many others were needing service as well. I'm hoping if I ever give this place another try, we would get better service. Unfortunately it did not seem like we were valued customers at all. read more

This place has a few good things as well as a few bad things. It feels too much like a chain restaurant and everything is too mechanical. Instead of bringing water to the table when you sit they wait til it's asked for so it seems like they would much rather you buy something to drink. read more

Loved the atmosphere. The decor and the live jazz music when we went. The food was delicious but portions were on the mediocre side for my husband. read more

Been here for the third time. All of those times, we had a great dining experience. The bistro is clean, love the design...great ambiance. We were greeted with genuine smiles. My husband and I had the oven roasted veggies...superb! We both love the Fresh Penne cove clams but I'd prefer it to be a little lighter on the salt. Husband said it was just right. We are big on salad so ordered the large asparagus/arugula with egg, and ended up taking home part of it...sooo fresh and delish and a lot! I had the mirto mare and craved for it. My husband had another kind of pasta dish but sorry can't remember which one. The strawberry basil is the way to go for drinks, very refreshing.. The next time I went with friends, I had to order the Picatta for a change....it was soooo fresh tasting; kind of different for my taste and was sorry I cleaned my plate and did not have a to-go box for hubby to taste. We all ordered different food to be able to have a taste of each, and everybody just loved everything we ordered. These are the ones I can remember ( we actuallly went there twice) Chef's board (2x coz its got everything on it), garlic bread (delectable), Cioppino and spicy shrimp fetuccini both were 4.8 stars for me. Linguini w/calms and sausage is 4.7 for me. Tiramisu was a 4.6 for all of us. The winner for me is the Linguinni Picatta and the roasted veggies. There could be something else, but these are all I remember. I think so far, their food is good coz it tastes fresh....my opinion! I thought the service was impecabble, very friendly staff with genuine smiles. The first two times we were there, we didn't have to wait, but the third time, we were surprised that there were a few people waiting to be seated, and a few more after us which means they like the service and the food. They were really busy! We just have to make it a little earlier than 11:30 when we go there next. My friends actually said, Pastini is now our new fav resto. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. The restaurant is very clean and well-maintained and has a trendy, relaxed vibe. I appreciated that there were a mixed variety of ages being taken care of. Nothing like a restaurant that welcomes children - they aren't always the easiest customers of course, but if a restaurant makes whole families feel welcome, they will undoubtedly get faithful repeat customers and more by word of mouth! Parents are always looking for a nice venue that treats children with respect and courtesy. My server went over the top to make sure that me and my party were comfortable and all of her recommendations were great for wine and food. The prices are reasonable and parking was easy and I felt that the food and wine was really above the average Italian place in Eugene. The one downside, which did not serve me well for a table of 5, was that they do not offer reservations. If in the future they change that it would definitely get five stars for me! I will definitely be back. read more

My family and I went to Pastini's for dinner tonight and I'm sorry to say I wasn't impressed. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the wait staff was very friendly. The food is ok. The price for what you get is really high. If you want a salad with your meal it's an additional $7.50. Garlic bread is $2.50 for two slices. I'm willing to pay for good food and a nice evening out but Pastini's food doesn't hold up to the high prices. read more

A wonderful Italian pasta restaurant. Service was fast, waiter very friendly, food excellent!

"I live 2.5-3 hours drive. The food and service was good enough to bring my family for a great meal!" It's comfortable, the atmosphere is fresh and my hostess was on point with service and I had not started talking about the food! My meal was awesome, but seeing that of other guests, I knew I was coming back! For this reason I'm making arrangements for a family visit. read more

Very nice atmosphere- modern. Service excellent. Food very good - the large salad to split is still way too much for two, which when we asked the server she indicated it would be just right. It would feed 4 , seriously. Had the traditional spaghetti with meatballs - delicious sauce and meatballs. Will definitely come back. read more

We came for lunch because we were told they have great deals for $9. No joke. My husband and I each had an entree, side salad and 2 tiny bread slices for $9 apiece. They were excellent and very filling. Wonderful atmosphere included. Sure beats the big "chain" Italian restaurants. read more

"Exquisite service, friendly staff. Food came out quickly, Scott went above and beyond to make my bday special!"

I was skeptical to try this place based on the mediocre reviews but my daughter really wanted to try it. And I'm happy we did! She got spaghetti and loved it, she is very hard to please. And I got one of their salads, the farmstand farro. The salad was huge, fresh, and delicious! Everyone there was very nice. We will be back! read more

I took a friend here for a birthday lunch on 8-8 and was disappointed. First problem was on the web I saw all sorts of lunch combo meals for $8.50. The Eugene restaurant doesn't have any of these lunches. There is one menu period. You have to pay for an order of bread, which isn't cool in an Italian restaurant. The waiter called us dearie or something along those lines, which we didn't appreciate. The food was pretty good. I had baked rigatoni with Italian sausage. It wasn't really baked but that was okay since the baked dish is very heavy. The dish had a light cream sauce. My friend had a faro salad, which she enjoyed. read more

This place is on point. The service is wonderful, and the food is so good. We've been to all the other pastini's and the one in Eugene is the best. The menu is a little different, but the difference is what sets this place a part. A+ for an excellent experience. read more

The Mac and cheese was 17.50. The food was not bad. Just way overpriced. They have good atmosphere. The drinks were pretty ok. Just kind of weird that it doesn't have a bar. Good service. Looking for flavor or some kick in your meal. All of our dishes for dinner were great, including the linguine and clams which had a nice heat to it. Staff is super friendly and very attentive. I was so pleased to see this restaurant open up here, having eaten at a few in Portland. I think I like the menu here even better. I had the most amazing cocktail. - too good, really, because I drank it too fast! We had the cheese and meat board - really great option for the group of us. Then some shrimp scampi with just the right amount of lemon - lots of places get it wrong, and a burger. - man, that was a great burger! The atmosphere is great, with nice big windows that open. I think the prices are pretty reasonable for the quantity and quality of food. Service was enthusistic without being over the top. All and all, a great evening. read more

Went here for dinner tonight. Service was great and it was a nice atmosphere. Only problem was my burger was burnt on the outside (had a horrible aftertaste)and the fries we hard as a rock. This was the worst restaurant I've been to in a while. We went in for lunch, were seated quickly. First off, it's freezing in here. I had to wear my coat the whole time. We ordered chicken alfredo, tortellini Gorgonzola, and an order of garlic bread. The entrees came out super fast, but the portion sizes were tiny for the price. I had the tortellini and it was so salty it was difficult to eat. Our garlic bread "appetizer" came 10 minutes after our food did. They did take it off of the bill, but it was just annoying. Overall, not great and we won't be going back. read more
