lunch portion - five cheese lasagna
    Charlie G.

First time at Pastinis. Stopped in for lunch. Service was excellent... seated quickly, and was well taken care of. Ordered the lunch portion of their five cheese meat lasagna with a Caesar salad side. Decent size for lunch, and tasty. Did not seem to have a whole lot of meat in it... my only real complaint. Served in a small dish with fairly high sides, so was a bit difficult to cut with a fork (no knife included). Salad was ok... and the included small bread portion was good. I would eat here again.

This was my first time at Pastini and the restaurant at Oakway is pretty nice. We went on a Saturday at 6:45 and had to wait around 45 minutes because there are no reservations. The service was quick and they drinks were cheap. However, the food was a little lackluster. The spaghetti was watery and the bread that came with it was bland and untoasted. I wouldn't get this dish again and don't think I'll go out of my way to come back, but my friend loved her dish so it's worth giving it a try.

I went to Pastini for the first time to celebrate my 9 year work anniversary. I was more than pleased with my experience. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic time. Dim with just the right level of background music, and very clean. You can even see the people making the food. The food was absolutely amazing! Hands down, their beet salad was THE BEST salad I have ever had in my life! The leek and mushroom raviolis were delectable. My boyfriend scarfed his food and was also very pleased with everything. The staff were attentive and friendly but not overbearing. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone and for any occasion!

We wanted Italian and searched Yelp and found Pastini. This is a gorgeous restaurant but the question is, always, is the food good? Erin was our server. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She gave information about the specials that sounded so good, We had the Calamari Fritti tor appetizer. It was large and perfectly cooked and crunchy. I chose one of the specials-totally outside my normal order- the Radiatore with Scallion Cream And Prosciutto. We also ordered the Linguini Misto Mare. Both were absolutely delicious. I recommend and would definitely go back to Pastini. The food and service were excellent. The ambiance is grand-but not real warm and comfortable but you forget about that with one bite of food.

Pastini was my favorite restaurant when I used to travel to Portland. Now I'm visiting Eugene, and I was excited when I learned there's Pastini here too! It's conveniently located at Oakway center. I seriously think their spaghetti carbonara is THE best. And of course I ordered it this time. And it did not disappoint. It tasted exactly how I remembered from Portland. I really appreciate the consistency. This is the 4th location I've been to. I like how much garlic they use in this dish. They put plenty of bacon as well. Very rich, creamy sauce. Simply the best! Service was prompt and friendly. Thank you Pastini!!

We were quickly seated and treated by our server Jenny. Unfortunately for the rest of you this was her last day for a while but will be back in the future we are told!! I had the stroganoff special and my wife got her braised short rib ravioli. As I have found this food was top notch, fresh and delicious. We split a large caprese salad which was a flavor bomb (in a good way). As we have experienced before, the restaurant was clean and tidy as you would expect. Fairly busy for a Tuesday night but wasn't too loud either. A great experience.

Love this place! It's my second time here. My son introduced me to it. The cocktails are creative and flavorful. I highly recommend the Bella berry martini and the blood orange margarita. I had the butternut squash ravioli, and my son had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. When we walked in, we were greeted professionally and told there's a wait, but it was only 10 minutes. I love this place. The price is right, the service is great, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the food is delicious.

It's been almost a year since my last visit and we decided to have a early Mother's Day dinner celebration on this visit. This was my first dinner experience here. Surprisingly it wasn't very crowded for a weekend evening and we were seated right away tucked in a little corner table. It was very dim and dark, the evening ambiance, compared to my daytime dining experience. We weren't very hungry to begin with so we only ordered pasta entrees. We ordered the fettucini with chicken and the spaghetti carbonara entrees. Both dishes weren't overly sauced or under sauced, which sometimes can happen, and both tasted good. The pasta had a nice firmness and was well seasoned--it didn't need any additional salt or pepper. The portions were generous--I had leftovers to take home. Our server was friendly and the overall meal was delicious. I wouldn't hesitate coming back.

Soooooo, this was my third visit in three weeks (face palm), I promised myself to try something different in the area but this place was literally calling me. Pastini is like that vacation you want to keep going on, amazing! I had their seasonal cioppino for a second time, this time for dinner and MAN....amazing! I also want to highlight on their customer service, from the waitress who served me to the waitress who brought the food, wonderful service! Check this place out!

It came with green beans and pasta topped with a fresh, bright red sauce that really tied the dish together. Overall, it was a light, refreshing meal that was full of flavor. Considering it was halibut, I thought the value was excellent. My meal was $39, which felt very reasonably priced for the quality and portion. Since I was traveling for work, I sat at the bar and had a great experience. Both my self and my wife have spent extensive time in Italy and know Italian quarantine very well. So we were quite interested in trying this location based on many of the reviews a the menu. This is my verdict. I ordered the LASAGNA DELLA CASA, and the Tiramisu for the desert. First the lasagna, I read the Yelp reviews on this establishment prior to ordering. For the most part the reviews were good. I read two reviews that claimed that the sauce is canned. After tasting the sauce I can guarantee that those who are claiming that the sauce is canned clearly have a pallet that is fit for judging can dog or cat food. When it comes to real cuisine they have no clue of what they are talking about. I can guarantee the sauce is hand made. Even with it being take out I can tell you that. The lasagna was very good. The sauce was outstanding, the pasta was perfectly cooked and the Italian sausage is amazing. It has a perfectly balanced flavor with a wonderful flavor of fennel, not over powering yet its presences was very enjoyable. Overall for take out I was impressed. I will definitely be returning to this location to try this dish again in a dine in experience. Now for the Tiramisu. I have eaten this dessert in Italy at some very high end restaurants. As far as the Tiramisu at Beppe & Gianni's, it is on par with the best that I have eaten in some of the best Italian restaurants in and throughout Italy. And absolute symphony of wonderfulness. Let me remind you this was a take out order, that being said I am looking forward to returning to this location for the sit down experience. When I do that, I will take photographs of the cuisine and post them. It is not fair to an establishment to take pictures of takeout. When I went into the Restaurant to pick it up, I saw the plating and it was outstanding. The takeout box just doesn't do it justice. I highly recommend this location.

First off, it was on the opposite end of where our gps showed us it was located at, but I was prepared by other Yelpers that mentioned it could be a challenge to find. We did not have reservations but arrived just before the dinner rush, so we thought we'd try our luck. The inside seating was filled, but we got our pick of table outside. The waitress promptly put the table shades up to block the sun from the area, which was nice (it was a bit warm outside). The outside tables filled up soon after we were seated. We shared a Caesar salad for appetizer and were very happy with it - tasty dressing, good croutons, and good cheese on top. The bread with sauce they gave use was very good too. The pasta came and as I already saw from the Yelp pictures they give you a good amount of pasta, which isn't always the case at Italian restaurants these days. 3 of us ordered the smoked salmon alfredo and one of us ordered the vodka rigatoni. The salmon is wild caught, if I remember right and it tasted as it was smoked in house - very good. I'm not typically a fan of alfredo but I'm a big fan of smoked salmon and I'm not sure what they do differently with their alfredo but I really enjoyed the sauce as well as the salmon. My son who ordered the vodka sauce rigatoni left the cleanest plate of all of us so I guess he liked his as well. Our waitress was very helpful all the way through and helped make it a great experience. As a part Italian, I definitely give this spot two thumbs up, and my family did as well. A good experience all around.

The smoked Chicken ravioli was unique, but quite good. The smoky flavor shined through. The chicken piccata was loosely a chicken piccata. Still very good, but with some additions to the traditional expectation of a chicken piccata. It was a good pasta dish overall.

I've spent months/years as a waiter so I understand the frustration of working hard to please a table only to get a 10% tip. As a now-former waiter, I try to tip generously. What I don't understand or expect is an automatic gratuity for small group, especially when I am a solo diner. Just me. Party of one. With minimal indication on the bill as to the added tip. After my last time at H-N-I-P I got the check, added on my own tip and paid. Then I pondered on the total. It seems funky -- why is it more than just the pizza and salad I ate... there's no tax in Oregon... Whuh? I look more closely at the bill and see that they already added on a tip...? I guess they just got a nearly 50% tip from me. Which might be the last tip because it's seriously irritating. In time I'll probably have a pizza craving that only they can fill, and go back. I'll look more closely at the menu to see if and where the automatic gratuity is mentioned. Enjoy the pizza. Beware the automatic gratuity.
