I always hate to give lower reviews but this was a challenging one. First off, it was takeout but that excuses a few small ills but the meatballs tasted like chemicals (soapy) and the shrimp in my pasta was either already cooked and they cooked it again but it was disgusting. That was the fastest I've ever received my food and drink, and the pasta was incredible! We started with a strawberry lemonade (daughter loved it) and a glass of Pastini Rosso (lighter bodied red) for me. For dinner I had the Capellini Pomodoro (delicious) and my daughter had the Rigatoni Bolognese (somehow even better than mine) - they were both amazing. First time at Pastinis. Stopped in for lunch. Service was excellent... seated quickly, and was well taken care of. Ordered the lunch portion of their five cheese meat lasagna with a Caesar salad side. Decent size for lunch, and tasty. Did not seem to have a whole lot of meat in it... my only real complaint. Served in a small dish with fairly high sides, so was a bit difficult to cut with a fork (no knife included). Salad was ok... and the included small bread portion was good. This was my first time at Pastini and the restaurant at Oakway is pretty nice. We went on a Saturday at 6:45 and had to wait around 45 minutes because there are no reservations. The service was quick and they drinks were cheap. However, the food was a little lackluster. The spaghetti was watery and the bread that came with it was bland and untoasted. I wouldn't get this dish again and don't think I'll go out of my way to come back, but my friend loved her dish so it's worth giving it a try. read more

I went to Pastini for the first time to celebrate my 9 year work anniversary. I was more than pleased with my experience. The atmosphere was perfect for a romantic time. Dim with just the right level of background music, and very clean. You can even see the people making the food. The food was absolutely amazing! Hands down, their beet salad was THE BEST salad I have ever had in my life! The leek and mushroom raviolis were delectable. My boyfriend scarfed his food and was also very pleased with everything. My salad was not what I expected. The beets on it were 'very' pickled. It wasn't the best eating experience but I did finish it. Management did not want me to leave feeling like I didn't get what I was expecting so they made it right. that was an unexpected surprise. We wanted Italian and searched Yelp and found Pastini. This is a gorgeous restaurant but the question is, always, is the food good? Erin was our server. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She gave information about the specials that sounded so good, We had the Calamari Fritti tor appetizer. It was large and perfectly cooked and crunchy. I chose one of the specials-totally outside my normal order- the Radiatore with Scallion Cream And Prosciutto. We also ordered the Linguini Misto Mare. Both were absolutely delicious. I recommend and would definitely go back to Pastini. The food and service were excellent. The ambiance is grand-but not real warm and comfortable but you forget about that with one bite of food. read more

three of us went to celebrate my birthday. i had Linguini with chicken Piccata. the sauce was light and lemony with plenty of capers. The chicken was white chicken cut into pieces immersed in the linguini and sauce. i thoroughly enjoyed this dish. one friend had Mac and cheese and was emphatic about how good it was. my partner had bake ziti with sausage. I tasted it and I liked the sauce, it was flavorful without being too tangy or salty. we all agreed that we would come here again and would be happy reordering the same dishes. The dishes are priced fairly. if you are on a budget you can go here for a nice meal without breaking the bank. we averaged $30 each but we added two beers, one soda, garlic bread and two sauces for the bread. Pastini was my favorite restaurant when I used to travel to Portland. Now I'm visiting Eugene, and I was excited when I learned there's Pastini here too! It's conveniently located at Oakway center. I seriously think their spaghetti carbonara is THE best. And of course I ordered it this time. And it did not disappoint. It tasted exactly how I remembered from Portland. I really appreciate the consistency. This is the 4th location I've been to. I like how much garlic they use in this dish. They put plenty of bacon as well. Very rich, creamy sauce. Simply the best! Love this place! It's my second time here. My son introduced me to it. The cocktails are creative and flavorful. I highly recommend the Bella berry martini and the blood orange margarita. I had the butternut squash ravioli, and my son had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. When we walked in, we were greeted professionally and told there's a wait, but it was only 10 minutes. It's been almost a year since my last visit and we decided to have a early Mother's Day dinner celebration on this visit. This was my first dinner experience here. Surprisingly it wasn't very crowded for a weekend evening and we were seated right away tucked in a little corner table. It was very dim and dark, the evening ambiance, compared to my daytime dining experience. We weren't very hungry to begin with so we only ordered pasta entrees. We ordered the fettucini with chicken and the spaghetti carbonara entrees. Both dishes weren't overly sauced or under sauced, which sometimes can happen, and both tasted good. The pasta had a nice firmness and was well seasoned--it didn't need any additional salt or pepper. The portions were generous--I had leftovers to take home. We were quickly seated and treated by our server Jenny. Unfortunately for the rest of you this was her last day for a while but will be back in the future we are told!! I had the stroganoff special and my wife got her braised short rib ravioli. As I have found this food was top notch, fresh and delicious. We split a large caprese salad which was a flavor bomb (in a good way). As we have experienced before, the restaurant was clean and tidy as you would expect. The Diet Coke SLAPS. EVERY. TIME. That's reason enough for me to keep coming, but the place is also really cute and comfortable. The servers are always incredibly nice and helpful. The food is a good mixture of comforting and intentional. They usually have seasonal specials that include drinks, entrees, and desserts--I like that they mix it up! I usually end up ordering seafood pasta because it's my favorite, and the tiramisu is always delicious. It's a local chain to the PNW, too! Went today! Had a fettuccine alfredo, caesar salad, and a strawberry drink. Family kinda had the same thing but they had an appetizer too. It was only $75 for 3 people!! Amazinggg quality food. We came with a few parent friends and our Ducks during move-in weekend. Even though we had a reservation we had to wait a bit because another party was running over. After we were seated they brought out two complimentary salads which was really nice. They were out of the wine we ordered, but the waitress made a good suggestion and we loved it. Everyone loved their food and the portions are generous. The atmosphere is lovely, the food delicious, and the staff great - will definitely come back. Oakway Mall in Eugene, Oregon. The food is excellent, but if you call in to confirm a gluten free/dairy free order, you will get a very rude lady berating you over the phone. Since their website doesn't let you add notes for allergies, I thought I'd call just to make sure. The lady who answered the phone (July 16th, 2026 at 10:30am, Oakway Center, Female) was so rude to me when I was just wanting to make sure that that my friend, who is deathly allergic to gluten and dairy, was allergy safe. This lady not only yelled at me over the phone about how she doesn't get order "numbers" until after they open, but she hung up on me. When I called back, nobody answered. So, now I don't feel comfortable with this order because I don't know if this order is correct since I was hung up on. People who have food allergies should not be berated and treated so poorly when requesting it. It would be nice if their website could be updated so that people with food allergies can notate it before placing their order. read more

I'm 56. One of my top-5 favorite dishes is chicken picatta--the spiced breading, the thick sauce of fond- white wine- lemon- garlic- butter- capers. I've made this dish dozens of times, always fantastic. I was in Eugene and thought I'd stop into an Italian spot for this exquisite dish. The restaurant is very well done. The staff was very helpful. Pastini's version of chicken picatta in Eugene was a complete flop. No breading on the chicken, just bland silver dollar size, 1/4" inch thick, chicken medallions. The sauce was merely bland chicken broth, no capers, no wine. I never heard anything from the server about a radical depature from conventional picatta, which led me to believe this kitchen doesn't know how to make traditional picatta. It SUCKED!! It was like a Weight Watchers version or a healthy wannabe frozen dinner I never like. What an absolute disappointment. On the bright side, the server was great, friendly, prompt, professional. I enjoyed the raspberry cremosa and caesar salad. An odd situation happened when I requested some raw onions on my caesar salad. The server told me the kitchen only had cooked onions available. I simply moved on, not discussing the obvious point, that the kitchen either cooks raw onions to order or receives bags of cooked onions from somewhere else. What this smacked of is a robotic conveyor belt restaurant culture disinterested in helping to have a heightened experience with a small change to my salad. The salad was what anyone could get from store bags--chopped romaine, a few rock hard croutons, and a bottled dressing with no taste of anchovies. It was ok, just not what I expected for my first impression of a hyped Italian restaurant. Ok, now I know to find another Italian option when I'm in Eugene. read more

I had a very good Caesar salad. She had soup. Excellent lunches in a very nice location for twelve bucks. We got DoorDash to our hotel and I got the lasagna and it was so yummy. The garlic bread is amazing as well. My Mom had the linguini piccata, and she loved the sauce. I usually don't frequent chains, but after looking at their website I realize they're only in Oregon - a few places in and around Portland, Corvallis, and Eugene. The food here is pretty decent and tasty. It's not homemade pasta or anything that will blow you out of the water, but it's several notches ahead of Olive Garden or somewhere along those lines. The garlic bread was good, a little thinner/crispier than I like. The butternut squash ravioli was absolutely delicious. I loved the light sage and butter sauce it came in. My friend had the asparagus lemon cream fusilli and loved her dish as well. Wine is great too! I was impressed by the extensive wine list. I will admit I'm a self proclaimed "chain restaurant" snob. So often it's prepared for the lowest common denominator and I love to support local and do so as often as possible. Pastini is however at the top of my chain of tolerances. Their food is full of flavor and freshly prepared. My go-to is the appetizer order of meatballs and a side of the broccolini. Perfect balance! My husband digs the baked ziti with sausage. Their house white is bold and dry and the 9 oz individual carafe is a generous pour.
