We've had the pleasure of visiting the Pastini's in the 23rd several times, but live in Hillsboro, so we were looking for a closer location. This location sucked. I'd drive an hour for the one off the 23rd any day over this place. It was over crowded and we had to wait 20 minutes to get a seat. Our service was SUPER slow. My pesto was watery, because I think the noodles were never drained. Both appetizers sat under the heat lamps too long. It was majorly disappointing. Not a location I'll ever visit again. If this had been our first Pastini experience, I can't say we'd have ever gone to another location. Take the extra time and go down town. read more

Never been disappointed here. Great selection of pasta dishes (you'd hope, right?). Service is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu- they're happy to make recommendations if you're indecisive. The macaroni and cheese is one-of-a-kind, and the bolognese is a favorite. Anything with their Italian sausage is also a must-try. Go Pastini! read more

Love this place. First time here and very good service. They even had a place to sit outside so I can enjoy my dinner with my family dog.

Very good place to grab a bite when you're out for a quick meal with your husband or family . My son and I went for a date after seeing Henry Winkler at Powells. (VERY cool to see the Fonz in person. But that just aged me way too many years.) So, getting back on track. My 7 yr old and I are on a date and all went very well. We just started taking the gluten out of his diet and this was a test to see how eating out would go. Pastini has GF pasta available and I must say it was very good. Normally we get him the kids spaghetti and meatballs, but this time we substituted the GF pasta and sausage instead of the meatball. He was leery at first, but once he tasted it, he looked at me surprised that he didn't notice any difference. I had the GF pasta with the shrimp dish. Very good and yummy. The shrimp were not over cooked and the sauce was good with a bit of spice. Very flavorful. Service was good for a busy Friday night. We did have a wait to be seated, but it was Friday night, so it was expected. Like I said. It's a very consistent meal and I've never been disappointed. (Try the salad trio plate for a change up. I had the best experience here on Veterans Day with my two gluten free roommates. The wait time was about 45 minutes since it was a Saturday night and they had a Veterans Day deal going on but when we got seated the offered us free garlic bread. Upon learning my roommates were gluten free after we had ordered, they offered the two of them free gluten free tiramisu on top of the garlic bread I was happily eating. Overall, great food and great staff! We already have been patrons here often but this experience has really made us appreciate this place so much more! read more

Pastini is great for so many reasons. Their pasta dishes and sandwiches are delicious. The portion sizes are adequate for a meal, which makes this a great place to eat regularly at. The service is super friendly. This location also has outdoor seating for those wonderful summer days. Very recommended. read more

I love their pasta. This is my to go to restaurant when I'm craving for lasagna or linguini. The food portion is decent. They have friendly staffs. You don't have to wait too long for your food. The price for a plate of pasta is reasonable. I love the Cedar Hill location because the restaurant has an open space atmosphere ,there's plenty of parking spots (in a good way;it's located in a plaza ), and it's next to my favorite grocery store New Season. read more

I went to Pastini's on Cedar Hills Friday night for dinner. Not only was the service from our waiter terrible, the waiter then charged my card twice on a split check and charged my friends as well. Went to Pastini Pastaria last night because we wanted some Italian and this place seemed like it had a lot of options for vegetarians. It was quite busy when we showed up but the hostess offered for us to sit down and had some bottles of wine ready if we wanted a glass, so we accepted. We really only waited for about 10 minutes even though they had estimated it would be about 25. Our server was very nice and brought us more drinks when we were seated. Being with a whole vegetarian crew, we were very excited about all the options for different pastas we could try. A lot more than just the usual pasta and red sauce I can usually eat. I had the rigatoni with butternut squash & spinach in a cream sauce and it was really good. My boyfriend had the tortellini with gorgonzola and that was really good too. It had a really good sauce for dipping the bread in. We liked this restaurant, the portions aren't outrageous but enough to fill you up. The prices are also a little bit expensive, so I wouldn't probably go here just any night. But over all it was a good experience. read more

We have been regulars in tualatin and stopped by the cedar hills location. The food is good but the service was poor

Total disappointment. Stopped in tonight to pickup an order to go for my birthday. They catered a function at work a few months back and it was wonderful. Today...terrible. The hostess brought the bag to me, vertically. I kept idly vertical, just as she had handed it to me. Upon arriving home, and unpacking my dinner I discovered that she had turned everything sideways. The browned butter had drained completely out of the butternut squash box. The butternut squash was undercooked and bland, especially with the brown butter absent. The Gorgonzola Tortellini was soupy. The Parmesan was with the bread, so I did not see it in time to add it. There was no butter for the bread. All in all an epic fail by Pastini. It is highly unlikely that I will return, and highly likely that I will pass this experience on to coworkers so that future catering orders are placed with other, more consistent establishments. I dropped by fro a quick lunch yesterday and it was excellent. Quick being the appropiate word here. In and out in 35 minutes. They have these great lunch specilas for $6...what a value! The service and food were top notch. My dish, the ziti vegetariano, was full of fresh vegetables and the sundried tomato pesto was to die for. You can't ask for much more. Just moved to Cedar Hills area and was super excited there was a Pastini as we love pasta! The food here is as great as any location but the service was lack luster. Not quite as personable or unique as the other locations. Quick and friendly but lacking the personal touch that we have always gotten at the 4 corners or 9th street restaurants. Maybe because it's a busier area, the restaurant was quite busy tonight, but we have been accustomed to the great service at Pastini and we didn't get it here. We will just have to travel across town for that I guess. We will get take out here but the ambiance is suburban and boring. read more

Use to be a great place to have date night but it seems that all good things must come to an end. Took my girlfriend here tonight for dinner and ordered an appetizer and two meals. First not so good, we ordered the spinach artichoke dip with bread and half the bread was burnt which was good because only enuf dip to use on the good bread. My girlfriend ordered the five cheese lasagna that was very good but the fettuccine alfredo with chicken was very bland and the noodles where undercooked. We frequented Pastini for Italian food for several years. The food choices were good and gluten free options were a bonus. The last couple of times the food was just ok, and the service was not great. The waiter forgot our tiramisu to go, then brought it without the chocolate on top. He corrected that, but barely. Had a nice meal with my wife and family over at the Pastini on Cedar Hills BLVD. Always love the cheese/garlic bread they have as a appetizer. Pastini is my favorite Italian restaurant. They source locally, and the food is always delicious! The service is great and the manager at this particular location is very attentive if there is any problem. This place can get quite busy, but that is no surprise considering the amazing food. My only regret is the new menu, which no longer includes my favorite dish: Canneloni Fruti de Mare. How I miss it. read more

I had a great lunch with my girlfriend today at Pastini Pastaria in Cedar Hills. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even closing the blinds when the sun got too bright. The menu was reasonably priced and had a nice selection of items. The baked manicotti and garlic bread was incredible, very filling, I even had some left overs for later. :) We enjoyed the atmosphere, it was very busy for the lunch hour, yet not too noisy even being right next to other patrons. I met a friend for lunch here, and this could easily become my favorite lunch spot! We were seated immediately by a very friendly hostess, and our server came over very quickly even though we were there at the peak lunch hour. He struck the perfect balance of being attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the Blood Orange Rosemary soda, which was delicious and refreshing! I decided on the Tortellini Gorgonzola, and my friend had the baked manicotti. They were both fantastic (we each had a taste of each other's meals), and the portion sizes were large enough that we each had enough for dinner that evening. I've had the opportunity to enjoy many of their locations, starting with one of the ones in downtown Portland that my daughter introduced me to years ago, and it's become a big family and friend favorite, awesome food and fantastic staff (including Rex, Kathryn, Jerry, Brittney, Pua, Nory, and Oriana, plus all the others whose names I wish I could remember), and masterfull chef's and associates. I came here three times now: one on my friend's birthday and another time with my family. Both times the services were great. However, today was terrible. I ordered a CANNELLONI FRUITTI DI MARE (sorry, copy and pasted the name). i waited more than fifteen minutes the food. Although my waiter past by my table, there wasn't a single moment in which she stopped by and asked if I needed anything (which I didn't). She brought out a LINGUINI MISTO MARE, and I told her that that wasn't my order. She apologized once, and made me wait for another fifteen minutes for my correct order to come out. She brought just the main dish without the bread and didn't realized she didn't serve me my bread until I was half way done. Although she did say sorry again, she never checked up on me again afterwards and didn't apologize again after I was done with the meal (which I believe all waiters should do if they made a mistake). Don't mistaken me. The food was good as usual, but the service wasn't up to the standard. Although some of you may be making a big deal about this, I only had a 45 minute lunch break, so, needless to say, I was late. read more
