The name speaks for itself. Phenomenal pastas, beautiful restaurant layout and very courteous staff. If you want exceptional pasta in Chicago, you need to come here.

Reallllyyy wanted to give this place a higher ranking because the food was so fresh and delicious (I loved every bite of the corn truffle ravioli) but the portion was quite small so I left still very hungry; I think if I had added a protein I would have had a better outlook on this place. There were several extra fees - our group paid $12 for 3 carafes of water which we did not know about, so felt a bit caught off guard. The service was good though and the space was quiet. I'd definitely like to come back and try more because everyone really enjoyed their meal!

We went at an awkward time, so it wasn't as busy, but our server was great. What we ordered: Burrata: It was a bit small and tricky to share with a table of four. I would have chosen a different appetizer if I knew it would be a precut burrata. Rigatoni w Pesto & Stracciatella Fresca: Very good! I loved the creamy sauce with the cheese, and the pasta was cooked al dente. Duck Confit w Pappardelle & Duck Ragout: Something different! I enjoyed the combination of the thick-cut noodles and the duck. The presentation was nice too. Fettuccine Alfredo w Parmesan & Chicken: Can't go wrong with fettuccine alfredo. Though next time I might try some of their other more adventurous menu items.

The food and service were top notch. The pasta is made in house and the flavors are robust. The pasta with duck is tangy and has a deep depth of flavor in each bite. The spaghetti has bold tomato flavor that is beautifully complimented by the sausage addition. The space is gorgeous as we sat near a floral arrangement that was fragrant and more effective than a B&BW candle! My only surprise was the charge for water. I assumed water was complimentary. It is not.

Extremely underrated Italian spot in the West Loop! Prices are much more fair than other restaurants in the area and the food is equally (if not more) delicious! All of the pasta is made in house. There is a wide variety of dishes and definitely something for everyone. I enjoyed the truffle pasta with caviar-- so decadent and a generous portion! The service here was a bit slow at first but once it got going everything was great. I enjoyed the upscale yet laid back environment. This restaurant is at the end of Fulton so it's less packed than others and a great place to engage in conversation. I'd recommend bringing family here!

It's rooftop and patio season in Chicago and this spot has thee perfect patio for you to enjoy while having some of their delicious Italian Food! You can watch them making the different pastas right inside of the restaurant, which is super cool! They also have a full bar in the restaurant where you can enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail with your delicious meal! My rigatoni was so good. The pesto sauce on there was perfect and the homemade taste of the pasta makes such a big impact on the meal! I also got some homemade fig ice cream and wow! It was first time having it and it was soooooo good, plus it had pieces of fresh figs on it. Loved it! This newer addition to the Fulton Market area is perfect for the summer! Pay them a visit and tell em that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you! Enjoy!

We decided to check this place out since most of the reviews were stellar. The few bad reviews stated portion sizes were small. I did not find that to be the case at all. We ordered more than we really need to based on those reviews but I'm so glad we did. Everything was amazing. All pastas are made in house. Everything had a fresh quality about it. My kids were very excited about the butter noodle option. Our server was fantastic. It's a smaller restaurant but very clean and classic. I would absolutely come here again.

This is my new favorite pasta in Chicago! I've been wanting to try it for so long because it looks so pretty with all of the flowers outside and the unique design inside. But the food blew me away. Plus, service was great, friendly, and super attentive. My only complaint is that they kept refilling our water but charged us for it on the bill. Regardless, would definitely recommend and will be back.

Found this place off the beaten path of Fulton Market. Very good meal. My friend and I enjoyed every dish we tried and would def come back. The pasta is fresh and delectable. I recommend getting the bruschetta! So fresh. Yum!

Corn and truffle ravioli - A white plate holds ravioli topped with a creamy sauce, garnished with arugula and red pepper flakes, with olive oil drizzled on top.

This was a great place with wonderful ambiance! We got focaccia to start, it was dry and came out at room temperature. It was only $3.50, so not a bad price and good to use for dipping in pasta sauce. Served with olive tapenade. The bruschetta was topped to the brim! Lol. The mozzarella, tomatoes, zucchini, onions were tossed in dressing and topped on a yummy crunchy bread. I loved this fresh take on bruschetta. The pear salad was a good fresh component. I love arugula and pear, Gorgonzola added a nice nuttiness to the dish. Be sure you like all these items before ordering! Corn ravioli with truffle was soooooo good. Really enjoyed the subtle truffle notes and fresh corn inside the ravioli. The sauce was not too heavy and went perfect with the corn. The pesto is not pictured but also very yummy. Pesto sauce was soooooo creamy and luscious. They have chili flakes if you ask for it, but the chili flakes are not at all spicy. Great time at this restaurant! I'll be back to try more items.

No matter what you do... GET THE GNOCCHI. It was literally the most fluffy Gnocchi I've ever had and I still dream about it. The service was amazing as well and really loved how I didn't have to ask for anything. She was very on top on it all. The ambiance was cute but nothing over the top. This isn't a fancy place though I would have expected more for a west loop location. Lastly, I gave 4 stars rather than 5 because of the presentation of the dishes. They need improvement. I want to be wowed when my plate arrives at the table and feel like what my eyes and taste buds are seeing match! Overall, a great meal!

Amazing meal and great service here at Pasta Veneta. I was truly blown away by the Sea Bass Ceviche and Corn Truffle Ravioli. Everything we ate was so fresh and you could tell it was all homemade. This was a great find in the West Loop and I cannot wait to go back!

For dinner, I had the Cacia e Pepe over the thick spaghetti and while it was suggested to get a side with the smaller pasta dishes, I was pretty full after the bread and salad. My husband's 7 ounce filet was a perfect medium rare and tasted exceptional with a side of sautéed mushrooms. He ordered a Pinot Noir with his filet and also the marscapone mashed potatoes. My daughter ordered the lobster Diavlo with squid ink pasta and it was the equivalent of a family-sized platter. Be forewarned, it is a lot of food and an expensive meal, but nice for a special celebration. Also, the restaurant adds gratuity for 5+ guests at tables. It's decorated so beautifully. Love the hanging plants. It's obviously a hot spot, yet isn't at all pretentious. I wish we could have tried every single thing on the menu, it all sounded delectable. Alas, we'd had a huge lunch so we weren't starving when dinner time arrived. My girlfriends and I shared the zucchini fritters, triangoli pasta, tuna crudo and pork ribs. All four dishes were great. But that bite of crudo was *chef's kiss*. So perfectly salty and briny and good. We had a few great cocktails to round things out. If you're visiting from out of town, I recommend prioritizing a meal at Rose Mary (they also have another location) if you're able to get a ressie!

Today, innovation layered on top of innovation makes 'normal' food seem humdrum, and that's where Rose Mary shines. Getting a prime time reservation here is like trying to nail Jello to the wall. The hack is to do it online at 12:00:01 AM exactly 30 days before the desired date; preferred time slots tend to fill up quickly. The Missus and I went for dinner on a Sunday. The décor is contemporary and exciting; even when the restaurant is crowded (which I'm told is always), you don't feel hemmed in. The fusion menu is unequivocally unique. I suppose you could call it "Crotalian." Cevapi meets cacio e pepe! Our server was professional and efficient. She knew every nuance of the menu and food prep, and was there whenever we needed something. Although the menu is not huge, there are some vegetarian-friendly items and also the kitchen offers a dairy-free menu, perfect for my cheese-averse Missus. Rose Mary encourages diners to order at least two dishes per person and share, share, share. But c'mon, our utensils were never replenished and we also had to reuse the same dinner plates for each course. We feasted on roasted pear salad, sweet potato, branzino, and pork ribs pampanella. Composed of high-quality ingredients and inventive flavor combinations, each dish blew us completely away. I particularly enjoyed the pork ribs - Italianized Texas BBQ plated in a pool of spicy sweet & sour sauce. The meat (tender but thankfully NOT 'fall-off-the-bone') had a nice crunchy char amplified by chopped walnuts. I requested the accompanying "cabbage & yogurt relish" (Greek coleslaw, I suppose) served on the side, not dolloped onto the ribs. For dessert, my Missus had chocolate gelato and I went for the cherry sorbetta. The latter's flavor was so intense and tart, it was like sucking on a raw lemon. Not my favorite. Italian-inspired coffee by Caffé Umbria was superb and rich.

And the feet suppli (ragu) was also really tasty, though I didn't really taste too much beef but the rice and cheese and crispy outside were great. The pastas/pizzas were split. The gnocchetti with mushrooms was my favorite. It was creamy and a good amount of mushrooms. The carbonara was pretty good. The guanciale was the best part, with the rest of the sauce leaving a little something to be desired. The boscaiola pizza wasn't my favorite. I didn't really taste much sausage and the crunchy veggies were a little overpowering for me. The veal (vitello) was excellent. The prosciutto added the right amount of salty and and there was a bunch of sauce. The pork (maiale) wasn't my favorite.
