I ordered the Bolognese (ground Beef, Tomato Sauce, Carrots, Onions, Garlic, rosemary) and the Beef & Mushrooms (veal, Mushrooms, Flour, Heavy Cream, Black Pepper, Nutmeg), to-go, plus a San Pellegrino sparkling water. The food is very tasty, well thought out. They do have a serve-yourself water station--no public bathrooms. There is an upcharge on about half of the selections. The medium size is more than enough for one person. ​ I liked the modern feel and the overall cleanliness. The counterperson was very helpful with my order. This is a perfect spot to pick up a to-go order on the way home. There are plenty of options. I'll definitely go back to try something new. I was expecting fast food pasta, but instead got flavorful sauces, lots of customization options, and well-cooked pasta. The Arrabbiata was restaurant-quality and actually had a kick. We added chicken to it and it was good chicken, no rubbery chewiness like chicken pastas tend to get. I also had a creamy pesto sauce that was very good. This review is for take-out service. I had never heard of Pasta Fasta until The Queen decided to order dinner for everyone. This was her choice and I have to say it was a good one. The menu gives you options on the size: small, medium and large. The pasta arrived in these cute take-out boxes that resembled those like Chinese take-out. Good solid construction to prevent leakage and they hold up well the next day to microwave and eat from the box, if that is your thing. I didn't hold out hope of the meal being anything other than something solid to eat, and since I was not paying or having cook, I rolled with it. I ordered the Spinach Ricotta Cheese with lemon and heavy cream. The Doctor and The Queen got the Bolognese. For my order, I added chicken to it. The size of the box is deceiving: when I poured the contents out of the box and into a bowl, there was a lot of pasta! So much that I could not finish it all and had some leftovers for breakfast the next day. The flavors were really good and the pasta and chicken were well done. The sauce was very good as well. I would definitely do this again. I tried some of The Doctor's Bolognese and that was also a nice. I like that they also have add-ons to the pasta orders so you can dress up your dish, like extra cheese, sauce, broccoli, sunflower seeds, cherry tomatoes and olives. Visited the city from out of town looking for a place that was open kinda late, stumbled upon Pasta Fasta and have been thinking about coming back ever since. First time here and honestly a little surprised. Pasta was fresh and al dente, the Amatriciana sauce was absolutely amazing. Bolognese was decent, a little under seasoned but not bad. Service was prompt, besides for gluten free pasta, but I am not upset about that. My only gripe is the value for money. I got the large, no add on's and it was a little underwhelming in terms of the portion. I also was hoping for some Parmesan on top, I didn't realize to get any you had to order it as an add on. For 13 dollars plus tax and tip, I felt like I would have liked a little bit more satisfying of a meal. However, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for some takeout pasta, to try some new flavors, or a quick bite! read more

This place is just genuinely bad and I would not recommend it at all. It's tiny & definitely meant for take out which is fine, but they could have a few tables? We all got different pastas from the spinach ricotta to the Alfredo to the pesto and literally all of them were disappointing, and we could not finish the food. it tasted like college dorm food in the worse way. Like all the sauce was congealed, and the pasta was hard and had no flavor. Truly save yourself some sanity and go next door to The Pasta Bowl. Pasta Fasta, you're pasta-tively amazing. I visited Prizren in 2021 and one evening before heading out to meet with friends, the entire lobby of my hotel smelled absolutely delicious. I asked the lady at the front desk what she was eating, and she said Pasta Fasta. We wasted absolutely no time getting directions to Pasta Fasta and it was, if not the best meal I had in Prizren, top three. If you've ever been to Prizren, then you know how amazing the food there is so saying that Pasta Fasta is top three is a big deal. At the time, I bought extras for my brother and sister- in- law to eat when they got back from their party obligations. They devoured it and Pasta Fasta was their choice of meal for the next week. I will always remember Pasta Fasta, the smell, the taste, the richness of the food and the overall quality of the ingredients are unmatched to anything I ever had- sorry Gibson Italia and Quartino. Anyways, IMAGINE my happiness when I saw an Instagram ad promoting the opening of Pasta Fasta in Lincoln Park! I was so happy, shocked and proud. To know that this business model started from Phristine and that it worked its way to the heart of Lincoln Park made me so happy and showed me the work ethic and motivation of the people behind it. I believe in the quality of your food!!! I was so happy that I loaded my kids into the car and drove from Skokie to Lincoln Park in rush hour traffic to pick up dinner. There are three sizes to choose from, I choose two large and one small. I have a sensitivity to tomato sauce so I only ordered the chicken pesto, the meat and mushrooms and alfredo. You can choose your pasta, the sauce and only with select can you choose protein. Either way, you build how you like. I didn't even have a chance to ask them if they have a gluten free menu so please call to inquire but I did think their prices are more than reasonable considering the location and the quality of the service. The food was just as amazing as I remembered it, it was so good that my sister- in- law and brother ate all the pesto with no reservation of willingness to share. They only managed to tell me it was very good haha. The pasta was well cooked, they were more than generous on the protein and the sauce was plentiful. Bonus points that it wasn't oversalted. The beef and mushroom contain veal which was cooked to perfection and as someone who cooks veal often, it was so soft and tasty, you wouldn't even know it was veal how much it complimented the sauce and pasta. Located in Lincoln Park, I highly recommend you visit this place! There is plenty of street parking and this place is kid friendly, pasta is something everyone loves regardless of their age and lucky for us, Pasta Fasta has plenty of choices to choose from! It was our first time in since we were just visiting from Texas, and the owner helped us figure out how to order and even gave us samples to try the sauces. Every single sauce was absolutely divine, and it was so hard to choose! I got the Beef and Mushroom and my friend got the Spinach Ricotta. The quality vastly out does the price. For this quality pasta, I'd expect to pay at least $30, but it was only about $12 which is such a great bang for your buck. Cannot recommend this place enough. It NEEDS TO COME TO TEXAS. Pastafasta is now my new favorite pasta spot in Chicago. The price to food quality is incredible. I can't believe how good my pasta has been the last two times I have been there.
