So for my orders missing 3 shrimps in Cajun shrimp it clearly says 6 large shrimps but I got 2weeks old jalapeño sausage, the other dish Cajun chicken an I got cold dish, bread tasted like someone cigarette ash. You guys need serious health inspection. I love Italian food something went wrong. You're only 1.7 miles how can the food be colder than the salad? If you want the food back come and get it it's in my refrigerator at my hotel. I wanted to warm it up but kinda lost taste for your food. Wow! To be honest I was not expecting much when I wife pick this place out, but I was very wrong. Our pasta dishes were so tasty. The fresh bread was soft and we actually ordered some garlic bread for good measure. They have an organized lobby with all of the food pick up going on as well as a very friendly staff. We ordered takeout on a whim and were really pleasantly surprised. The smell of fresh bread was filling the car, so I was dying to get home and eat it. We ordered a tortellini dish with chicken and asparagus, as well as the blue cheese/pear pasta. Both meals came with salad and bread. The tortellini was a little overcooked, but the overall flavor was delicious. The red pepper cream sauce was hearty and the chicken was tender. The blue cheese pear pasta was really unique. The sauce was sweet, bitter, and sour all at the same time. It almost had an umami quality; it was really great! The salad the meals came with was a basic side salad, but we enjoyed the dressing that came with it. The bread was so amazing, soft, and fresh. It definitely lives up to its name. I went twice while in Hillsboro and both times the food came rocket fast. I got the Bolognese both times. I found it weird that there was no option for just regular spaghetti noodles but maybe that's because the fettuccine noodles cook faster and that's in keeping with the name of the place. I've driven by this place for as long as I've lived here, and dismissed it because I thought it was a generic chain in the 'burbs. We finally decided to check it out because we've tried out the other Italian joints and this one is close to home. I was pleasantly surprised at how great it was! I had the Pasta Carbonara, and they did an excellent job of adding the right amount of prosciutto, peas, and egg cream sauce. I couldn't even finish my meal, which is a rarity for me LOL. My wife and son had tomato-based sauces with fusilli and linguine, respectively, and both were also great. I really liked that I could taste how fresh the tomatoes were. Met up with an old friend, with this restaurant as the backdrop. ***CHICKEN, PEAR, & HAZELNUT PASTA - Grilled chicken breast, fresh pears, and toasted Oregon hazelnuts tossed in a gorgonzola cream sauce with cavatappi pasta This was actually quite interesting. The sauce was very sweet and tasted almost like a warm ice cream mix, but a bit tangier with the gorgonzola--somehow it worked with the macaroni-esque cavatappi pasta. The pear slices were quite satisfactory, the hazelnuts a good addition but not quite crispy enough, and the chicken was the biggest caveat, for it was served in small, dry, lifeless chunks that tasted like they belonged in a TV dinner. ***SPINACH SALAD - Fresh baby spinach, feta cheese, mushrooms, bacon, sliced eggs, red onions, pine nuts, tossed in a red wine and dijon dressing There was really nothing special about the salad--we only chose it because it was the least of the evils on the page. It had the ingredients mentioned in the description, but did not satisfy our souls. I actually have almost nothing bad to say about this place. One of my favored lunchtime stops period. I can't really write much about this place because the food says much more about the atmosphere than anyone working there. Nothing bad about the people, it just seems that whenever I stay there to eat; I forget I'm even out. Which I'm huge on. This place gets it right by giving you your food and leaving you be to eat it. You can pretty much order any type of pasta you can fathom and have twice as many sauces drenched all over it to your heart's content. Their website: http://www.pastapronto.com/ has a sample menu of all that they carry, but I find it hard to decide when it comes to a venue that makes food as good as they do. Normally I just call up and tell them to give me their daily special- pending if I feel like a red sauce day or a white sauce day they've got a special of either one usually. Granted the plates can cost anywhere from $7-12, I don't suggest the carb load of eating there everyday, unless you're like me and have the metabolism of a juvenile monkey on crack- go for it, you won't be disappointed. They don't cover that many different brews but I've had enough of my boss lecturing me about drinking on my lunch hours to which I don't look to see what they carry anymore. The place is a bit cramp during the lunch hours; as in I would say it's roughly smaller than a SubWay. The parking lot of that strip mall is a bit jacked up I have to admit so beware of that. If only I could convince my boss to look into them for catering, to which they also provide. Eat here and be merry. read more

I'm a big fan of cheap pasta.....it reminds me of my childhood when I would go to visit my aunt in Tallahassee, we would go to Fazoli's near her for lunch several times during my visit (it was cheap, and so was she). I haven seen a pasta fast food joint since then (being from Jersey, pasta is in the water)....which is why I was so excited when I saw Pasta Pronto(!). Sadly, this didn't live up to my low expectations, which I know sounds confusing b/c then I should be giving this place an extra star or two....but it wasn't good in a cheap way either. It was mediocre in an expensive way. After scanning the menu, everything seemed a bit more posh than expected. Okay. So I ordered a smoked salmon with dill and capers. I paid my $13ish dollars (for lunch) and the friendly gal behind the register handed me my number and I picked a seat in a very clean/sterile dining area. She shortly brought out my salad and bread. Salad was with iceberg lettuce. Bread was doughy...but it was free so what do I care. Then my dish came out. First take was that it smelled good. Then after taking it in, I noticed that there was so much sauce, it looked like soup (and it was not thick). First bite was the salmon, okay. It was smokey. But pairing that with the sauce, and my legs started to swell up with all the sodium. I could see that there were dill pieces, but couldn't taste them over the salt lick. I would maybe go back. It was overpriced (I get it was a salmon dish....but it was lunch and it was mostly sauce, not much pasta/fish). There was another couple sitting eating what seemed to be lasagna. For my 100th review I am choosing an amazing gem just outside Portland. After a business meeting south of "The City" we headed West so that my hubbie could finally see the Pacific Ocean. We stopped for gas and hit Yelp mobile for places in Hillsboro to try. Previous reviewers aren't kidding... blink and you will miss this place... walk in and you will be a fan for life! The Gorgonzola Pear Chicken special was divine. The Alfredo sauce was inspired. The garlic bread is soaked in Garlic infused EVOO and extra toasty. The Italian dressing was an amazing balance of fresh herbs and great vinegar. We loved it so much we purchased two #5's to go. Pick a sauce, pick a pasta, and get a whole loaf of bread for $20. It ended up being 1.5 pounds of fresh pasta, a quart of fresh sauce and a HUGE loaf of bread. We had to go to Fred Meyer and buy a bigger cooler and some dry ice so that it would make it back to Seattle . Had some of the Alfredo when we got home 2 days later... still wonderful! read more

Stopped by here on a Tuesday night, the place was moderately filled. There were 4 of us, we ordered linguine with marinara, the tortellini rustica, and Thai chicken pasta. The chef/owner was knowledgeable, helpful, and very patient as we stood asking questions about the dishes. We ordered, got our drinks and sat down. As soon as we were situated bread, plates, silverware and our salads were brought to our table. Loved that there was oil and vinegar on the table. The bread was wonderful, warm, soft center, perfectly crusty outside without being hard. The salad was a good portion size and vinegarette was creamy and a little heavy on the vinegar in a GREAT way. Just as we finished our salads our entrees came out. The pasta on all the dishes was cooked perfectly! The tortellini rustica is now my favorite dish here! Great place for a quicker, excellent quality, sit down meal. Prices are more than you would pay for fast food but the quality, service, and value are well worth it. read more

My boyfriend and I run our errands and drive up to the casino on the weekends. I always take the opportunity to find a good place to eat because I'm a foodie. So I found this place In tanasborne mall. Entering the cafe, it was clean, decorated with Italian accents. We placed our order, we got our silverware and drinks. There are wines available. Our meal came a short time. I had traditional lasagne, green beans, and lemon bars. My boyfriend had penne bolanese. My meal came with side salad so gave to my boyfriend which his didn't come with salad because custom meals are only Entrees. I was pleasantly surprised with endless bread refills. Portion size was was statisfying. We were so happy with our meals and service. The food was freshly cooked and not pre-made. My boyfriend talked to the owner who took our orders and cooked our meal. He was very friendly and made sure we were satisfied. He and his family have been in business 23 yrs and is proud of his restaurant. Though the setting is strip mall cookie cutter, the birthday boy in question-- (and all party members attending) absolutely loved these people's garlic bread and meat lasagna. Alas, there were some snooty vegeterians in the mix of our little soiree, and in firmly toeing the line of said snootiness (is it just me, or is this a somewhat familiar theme for these people? I'm sure it's all just my fevered imagination, once again), the veg-heads were less than wowed by the veggie lasana. Ahhh well.
