The Lasagna (only Wednesday) was huge and absolutely amazing ... Easily could have fed two people... And the Hougon (sp?), where you can pick three options was awesome when there is SO many great options to pick from. We picked the Chicken Parm, Jumbo shells, and Rigatoni... Honestly, my family was deciding and resorted to a game of rock paper scissors to choose (I lost), and I expected this place to be either too fancy for me, or have a few cross-contamination issues for my mom, but I was proven wrong almost immediately. We sat outdoors, and their patio is fancy, yet cozy. Lots of greenery, and nice lighting. And the food, oh where to begin with the food. I got the Lorenzo pasta, and It. Was. SPECTACULAR! Mother got gluten free stuffed chicken pasta and gluten free garlic bread (for context, garlic bread comes with the order when off the main menu), and to top it off, the water comes sharable before you order drinks, like how it is in Italy. All in all, the Italians would be PROUD!!! The service was amazing, Jorge was our server, and he was amazingly kind! He answered all our questions, was super nice, and laughed along with us. The service was the down side here, which was funny because the sever was training another person. Our server never asked how the meals were. I saw her 3 times: when she took my kids order, my order, and when she took the payment (there were only 4 occupied tables while we were there...). The baked penne was okay; the sauce was a bit watered down at the bottom of the dish and had an interesting taste to it. Came here after a long day of hiking at Arches because this was the only place open past 10pm. We were blown away. The service here is excellent, and the food is just as amazing. I got gnocchi and my parents got a pizza, and we all left feeling happy and full. The atmosphere was perfect, especially out on the patio. Loved this place! This is a fun Italian place in the heart of Moab. It does seem to attract an older crowd, but the service is wonderful. Portion size was excellent. But I did not care for the penne, to me the pasta was undercooked. I should have asked for spaghetti noodles instead. It was a busy Saturday night, server was friendly but seemed distracted. They have patio service as well which would be great for people watching. Sat outside on the patio, and although it was a hot day, it was comfortable. The waiter was attentive and provided excellent service. I decided to order the Baked Lorenzo, which utilizes a tomato cream sauce. The sauce was so delicious, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the portions were generous. The garlic bread complimented the meal perfectly, but wasn't the best garlic bread I have had. Cute Italian restaurant, great family feel. Stopped in on a Wednesday night which was the lasagna special. Each night has a designated special. I had the lasagna , my husband had manicotti. Both had same marinara sauce. Very heavy, rich, deep burgundy red sauce. Lasagna was piled high. It had a good flavor and consistency, but didn't really like the way the meat was layered. Marinara sauce and Pesto sauce were both delicious! The pizza crust is thin and crunchy. This is a very laid back atmosphere with servers bustling around, families laughing, and people chatting. This place has the MOST delicious food. We had just gotten done with a 12 hour car ride from Nebraska (heading to Phoenix) and let me tell you this place was well worth the miserable hours spent in the car. Our waitress was actually the hostess and she was SO sweet even though the restaurant was just starting to get super busy. The food came out within 15-20 minutes and was gone in about 5 minutes. We had a wonderful experience and when we are back in Moab next year, we will be stopping by again! We dined in after our epic adventure. At 4pm the establishment was not busy at all and the location is right in the heart of downtown Moab. Parking is very very limited so do not expect to drive right up and enter. Inside was ok but a bit outdated and looks more like a diner than an Italian restaurant. It was clean and our waiter was decent but nothing spectacular on the service. We ordered the following: Spinach and Artichoke Dip; was ok and nothing to brag about. Brussels Sprouts that were sautéed was very oily but good. Eggplant Parmesan was a bit charred especially the sauce as the serving plate was all black on the rim of the bowl. It was ok however, you can taste and smell the burn parts. This came with garlic bread and every single piece had the burnt odor. Kids Spaghetti with Meatballs was ok. Ravioli with Alfredo Sauce was not all that. Jumbo Shells was ok nothing you would want to come back for again. The sauce was burnt around the rim of the bowl and you can smell as well as taste the burnt parts. Eggplant Milan was decent but then again it would not be something that would be recommended. The garlic bread was horrible as the back side of the mints was just totally charred. I mean I can eat a dinner roll however, this was just not good at all. Pasta Jay's is a decent pasta place with lots of options. Went on a Thursday night and it was as pretty busy. Where we were sat it was so small and loud you couldn't hear the other people at your table. On the other side, decently quiet as you headed to the bathroom. One stall was missing a toilet seat, so only one stall for a whole restaurant of women. Just an observation and not a complaint. These things happen. Baked spaghetti could have had more cheese on top but was good. Chicken parm was a little salty but large portion. Side pasta could have had more sauce on top. They offer garlic bread as an appetizer but then we got free garlic bread for the table with our meals. Very tricky and I didn't like that. Wish I would have known and wouldn't have ordered the app. Overall decent meal. Decent, attentive service. If I'm back in Moab, I'd probably go again. read more

Pasta Jay's was a few steps outside our hotel so we headed over for a dinner after hiking. My expectations were low based on the pictures I saw of the food but I have to say it was a good meal overall. We had to wait 10 minutes for outdoor seating but it was worth it. I started with the dinner salad with the creamy Italian dressing. The salad had romaine, a pepper, a beet slice, garbanzo beans and mozzarella cheese. I had them hold the olives. It was very good. For dinner I ordered the eggplant parmigiana. It was good. The eggplant was not heavily breaded but I was okay with that. My husband tried the Shrimp Giacomo. He enjoyed his meal too. Both meals came with garlic bread. We finished with the lemon berry cake which was good although it seemed like it was recently thawed. The service was helpful, although we had two occasions where the assistants didn't know why they were bringing drinks to our table. One time was a mistake. The second time the waitress wanted us to have refills and asked the assistant to bring them but he didn't seem to understand that. Overall, Pasta Jay's is worth a stop after a day of enjoying the parks. read more

We visited with a party of six and had a wonderful meal--everyone truly enjoyed their food! The patio seating was perfect, especially with the heaters on during the chilly weather we had on our vacation. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. That said, our experience with our server, Nick, left something to be desired. He was pretty sparse with his check-ins during the meal and removed our drink and dessert menus before our food even arrived. Then, without asking if we were finished or needed anything else, he brought the check. When we politely asked to have it split three ways, he responded with a sarcastic tone, saying something along the lines of "It would've been nice to know that earlier," which felt unnecessarily snarky. A little heads-up from him would've gone a long way--we would've been happy to let him know our preferences if he had just asked. To be honest, it felt like he was eager to rush us out the door, which put a bit of a damper on an otherwise great evening. So just a tip: let your server know upfront how you'd like to split the bill. Overall, the food and setting were fantastic, but the customer service could use some improvement read more

The second time we went he had chicken Alfredo and I had chicken ravioli. The chicken for both of us was a little odd. In the ravioli it was just large chunks of boiled chicken with no seasoning. We had a group of six and they automatically added a service charge of greater than 30%. The service is very quick. It's a loud, crowded restaurant and anything with marinara is amazing. read more

You might also be seated at a table (outside) where the nearby crossing signal constantly beeps. You might also have the leaves from nearby plants blowing into your food. And about the food...it's bland, almost like they're afraid to use any type of spice. Even the garlic bread they serve is bland, like they forgot to add the garlic. But here's the thing...after a long day of hiking, you'll probably eat everything on your plate because you're that hungry. And the water in Moab is good. read more

Wife & I are on a cross country road trip and while passing through Moab, we checked into our hotel and wanted to grab some takeout to eat at hotel. I called Pasta Jay's and the person who answered was very helpful, polite & friendly. My order was ready quickly and once I got back to hotel, the meals we ordered were delicious and if we were in town longer, we'd definitely go inside and eat in the restaurant. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars and not 5 is because we can't speak to the service inside. We strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good Italian food options. read more

This place served delicious food! I wouldn't think there would be good Italian food in this small town of Moab, surrounded by rocks, but I was wrong. We were so hungry that we ordered a lot for just the two of us: minestrone, chicken alfredo, stuffed jumbo shells and tiramisu. Everything was delicious. Their minestrone was well seasoned with big chunks of zucchini. The alfredo was quite heavy and greasy, but if you had a full day of adventure, it's OK to eat more carbs haha. The garlic bread was very buttery and savory as well. And don't forget to finish off your meal with their tiramisu!
