We had a 7:15 reservation and were seated immediately. The hostess was friendly and attentive, and had water at our table right after we sat down. The food and cocktails were absolutely phenomenal. I highly recommend the Chantilly Lace and the prawn and pork belly. The true highlight of our meal, though, was our server, Shea. Even with the restaurant being incredibly busy, he was personable and attentive, checking in regularly to make sure we were enjoying our food and that our drinks stayed full. His menu knowledge was impressive, and every suggestion he made was spot-on. He really made the entire experience that much better. Fantastic food, great cocktails, and exceptional service. We had a seminar presentation here so we were interested in trying out this place/ it didn't disappoint and was very impressed. A very beautiful artsy establishment to sit and savor a meal. The bartender was very accommodating and nice as my husband and I arrived and sat downstairs in their cozy bar. Then we had a lovely dinner. I had the cedar planked salmon with broccolini and garlic mashed potatoes and my husband had the wood fire steak with sauce- sort I couldn't remember what kind of sauce that accompanied the plate but it was delicious. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and was devoured. I would definitely come back. The outside courtyard area have comfy seating, heat lamps and a live band was playing. So serene! We were in a hurry to get back home so unfortunately didn't stay for the music. This sounds like such in a lovely place to hang out, eat and have cocktails!

The vibe of the place is very cool. Entrance and bar had a darker almost speakeasy atmosphere where the main tables in back had a brighter, sunnier look. We sat in the middle, a booth the staff called the "fish bowl" where you can see everything going on. I loved it! Mom probably would go quieter since you are in the action! Note for next time. Okay service - on a scale of 1-10, service was a Spinal Tap 11. Toby made my mom a surprise mocktail creation which I stole a taste - delicious! Carmela took fantastic care of us. I am a food nerd so from the fishbowl, you can clearly see this is an excellently run restaurant. On leaving they not only boxed our leftovers but bagged and organized Mom's separate from ours. It was literally some of the best service I have ever had in a restaurant and I've eaten out a lot all over the world. Okay now for the food. I really like the menu but you want to go here to experience the starters. My wife had the beef carpaccio and I had the tuna poke tostones. Unbelievable. Tostones? Get out! The rest of the starters offer a variety of treats we will need to order in the future. My wife and I had the ribeye, Mom had the steak frites. All the steaks were nicely cooked. The ribeyes came w a foggy dew mushroom espagnole which I enjoyed, my wife less so. It is on the sweet side so let that be your guide. Grilled broccolini perfect. The butternut squash risotto wasn't my favorite but there is a lot going on w the ribeye dish. Mom had fries w her steak frites and they were a perfect crispy. Because it was Mom's birthday they provided us complementary individual cheesecakes - perfect size, wonderfully delicious and they should put that on the dessert menu to share. My problem w dessert (and the menu looked fantastic) is that it looks and sounds daunting after a complete meal. But they know how to dessert. It was a memorable experience of great food, nice ambiance and phenomenal service.

This restaurant offers a dining experience defined by a stark contrast between exceptional culinary…read moreexecution and disappointing operational flaws. Structurally, the venue presents an appealing, clean, and rustic aesthetic, yet this positive first impression is quickly undercut by a lack of basic hygiene. Specifically, flies were buzzing around the bathroom area during my visit. This failure in basic maintenance sets a concerning tone about the establishment's attention to detail, a gap that unfortunately extends directly into the front-of-house service operations. While the physical environment has its ups and downs, the service follows a similarly frustrating trajectory. The staff starts strong, providing good service right up until the food is delivered to the table. However, once the plates land, the waitstaff becomes entirely inattentive and detached overall. This post-delivery abandonment leaves me feeling neglected throughout the remainder of the meal, as routine check-ins and simple beverage refills are completely overlooked, heavily hindering what should have been a seamless evening. Fortunately, the kitchen crew operates at a much higher standard, delivering standout dishes that showcase genuine culinary talent. The Fettuccine Alaska is an absolute triumph, featuring a rich, velvety vodka cream sauce tossed with handmade fettuccine noodles that are wonderfully flavorful and buttery soft. The dish is elevated by smoked salmon that carries just the right amount of smoky depth without overpowering the plate. To finish the meal, the Tiramisu delivers excellent traditional flavors and a beautifully creamy texture, proving the food itself holds up to the social media hype. Regrettably, the stellar flavors are ultimately spoiled at the conclusion of the evening by predatory financial practices. The restaurant tacks on a surprise junk fee simply for the use of a credit card, which is advertised in such small font on the menu that it's hard if not impossible to notice. Still, this abuse of the customer. The bottom line is that the establishment serves very good food, but the overall experience is severely dragged down by inattentive service, bathroom cleanliness issues, and unnecessary fees.

Hubby and I shared the mixed salad and the All American cheeseburger with fries. The salad was really refreshing and everything tasted fresh. I also love that they're a farm-to-table restaurant, which definitely comes through in the quality of the ingredients. The burger was also really good, juicy, moist, and cooked perfectly. But honestly, the best touch was the service. We mentioned we were sharing everything and the staff went above and beyond by cutting the burger in half and splitting the fries onto two separate plates for us. Such a simple thing, but it made the whole experience feel extra thoughtful. Of course I ordered some bubbly because... why not? And it was the perfect accompaniment. They also have a great happy hour, tons of wine options, and you can definitely tell this is a spot the locals love. I had not been since the ownership transfer. I had my big dog thus a dog friendly patio with some cool air blowing was required to combat the 100-degree weather. The new ownership has made every effort to keep the patio cool during the high heat events, powerful cooling units were strategically placed throughout the patio. We were greeted by Lindsey who was an absolute gem and a Pitty lover! Brutus was happy on the cool concrete and grateful for the bowl of water that she gave him including the copious dog lovings. The owner happened to come by as well and he too was very friendly which set the tone for our visit. I was very much in the mood for sushi (because of the hot weather) which I planned to get a to go order from the place next store on the way home. I was satisfied with having a beer while my mom ate flatbread and enjoyed a cold one as well. However, when the flatbread came. I realized that things 'really' had changed at Citizen Vine. The offering looked great. I'm a foodie. I know at a glance and that's all that it took when here flatbread arrived. Which I enjoyed instantly. Sushi? What sushi? We followed up with some tacos. Boom, batting 2 for 2. Yep, the food game is legit at Citizen Vine, the beer was just what the Dr. ordered so I did not peruse the wine list, it was midday and hot! I'm going to roll the dice and believe that it's capable. The setting is clean and welcoming as was the team that put it all together. Yep, Citizen Vine is doing just fine and ripe for the picking!

Our party of six recently dined here and spent over $500. We were looking forward to a special…read moreevening, but unfortunately we left disappointed by both the food and the service. The service was the biggest letdown. While ordering appetizers, one member of our party needed a little extra time to understand the menu before deciding. Rather than being patient, our waitress became noticeably curt, said, "I'll be back," and then didn't return until we flagged someone down. It took approximately 45 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. Throughout the evening, the service remained inattentive. I was asked if I wanted a refill on my wine, said yes, and it never arrived. Dirty dishes accumulated on our table, and I eventually stacked them at the end of the table in hopes someone would notice and clear them. They eventually did, but only after sitting there for quite some time. Unfortunately, the food did not make up for the service. The mushroom risotto was overly creamy, with a texture that reminded me more of Cream of Wheat than traditional risotto. The mushrooms themselves were bland, and the advertised liquor reduction sauce lacked the depth of flavor we expected. To me, it tasted as though it had been made from a mix rather than prepared fresh. The lasagna arrived with the top noticeably overcooked, and the gnocchi was equally disappointing. Instead of the light, fork-scored gnocchi we expected, it consisted of small, smooth puffs with very little texture. The promised lemon, olive oil, and parsley flavors were so subtle that the dish tasted flat and uninspired. Our table also shared several appetizers, but none of them stood out. Overall, the meal lacked the flavor, care, and attention to detail that we expected for a restaurant at this price point. What surprised us most was learning later in the evening that one of the servers was the owner's wife and our waitress was the owner's daughter. After members of our party quietly discussed our disappointment with the service, they approached our table and introduced themselves, with the daughter mentioning she had managed the restaurant for 13 years. Rather than reassuring us, it made the lack of attentive service even more surprising. For a dinner costing over $500 for six people, we expected excellent food and attentive hospitality. Unfortunately, neither lived up to our expectations. We left disappointed and, regrettably, won't be returning.
