As 2025 passed and there was no permit, and no start date in sight, and on top of that the contractor was less than trust worthy I approached Fergusons to explain the problem: there was no ADU, there was no permit, certainly not in 2025. Fergusons without hesitation refunded me the total $ amount. We were floored. WHAT customer service, WHAT integrity, WHAT goodness walks the floor of this showroom and the management. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability and consistent blame-shifting behavior exhibited throughout the interaction. Despite encountering challenges during the project, Kody failed to take ownership of the issues arising and frequently shifted blame onto others or external circumstances. In addition to all of this Kody was degrading towards my wife, constantly talking over her, raising his voice, and dismissing her opinions as they did not matter. On top of that he said he was going out of business and not going to finish other work needing to be done. All of the issues we had could have been very easily addressed by taking the time to listen to concerns we had with the craftsmanship / time frames and come with a solution rather than a bag of excuses. Quality of work was 8 out of 10 but the customer service is a 1 out of of 10.
