Ok update. This summer 2025, I made another appointment at my Boyfriends home in Paso because our 2 heating/AC systems were about 25 years old and needed replacement. I used them because they are in the COSTCO program so you get a huge gift card after install and city permit signs off. We are Costco executive members With the Costco program you get the top of line Lennox equipment and since we have 2 complete systems at the house this is what replaced. 2 new systems. They also upgraded the ductwork to make it run properly. We added a garage attic fan as well. We also upgraded to the WiFi thermostats you can control with the Residio app on your phone and we love them. Once it's finished an outside company comes to test system and report on airflow. The city inspector needs to see this report. When he comes so show him. Don't use the call center number. Use the local phone number I'm providing in attached photo. Paso heating was bought out by Wightens and I do not recommend that company so don't get moved over if they say they are busy. Stick with this one, it's totally worth the wait. PR Heat & Air installed A/C for me several years ago. Until last year I had them come out regularly to service the heat unit and A/C. I was told on the phone that they couldn't service both units at that time of the year. They would have to be done separately. I called last year to try to schedule service and some kind of hokey AI "thing" answered. What a farce of a so-called conversation that was. I hung up and called a local company. Paso Robles Plumbing, Heating & Air lied to me, destroyed my bathroom, left mold in my home, and then tried to cover it up. If I could give this company negative stars, I would. My experience with them has been nothing but lies, damage, and gaslighting -- and the nightmare is still ongoing. The Scam Started on Day One I told their salesman, Bill, exactly where I wanted my AC unit. I was very clear: it was the only spot I would accept. Bill swore up and down it was "100% possible" -- but only if I paid several thousand dollars extra for a special "space saver" unit. I agreed, only because he promised me that exact placement. On install day? Total bait-and-switch. The crew flat-out told me it couldn't go there. And instead of asking me, they plopped it down in the middle of my yard and walkway. I literally walked outside to find a giant metal box blocking my path. When I complained, they refused to swap it for the cheaper model I should've gotten, saying I was "locked in" to the expensive one. I was forced to pay thousands extra for a unit I didn't want, in a place I didn't approve. A Hack Job From Start to Finish Their installation was so sloppy it looked like amateurs did it: * They ran wires over a trellis even after I told them it was coming down -- then tried to charge me extra later to fix it. * They bent the coils on my brand-new unit, promised to straighten them with a special tool, and of course never showed. * They cut random holes into the siding of my house and into my bedroom wall -- then smeared silicone over them like that was a repair. The Bathroom Collapse On June 29, my 70-year-old grandfather fell through our bathroom floor because it had been rotted out from hidden water damage. My contractor tore everything apart and discovered the source: the AC unit had been pouring water into the walls for months due to botched installation. Floors, walls, insulation, everything was destroyed. Mold everywhere. This wasn't just a slow leak -- this was gallons of water eating away at my house while I had no idea. They Admit Fault -- Until They See the Bill When I called, their own technician came out, saw the destruction with his own eyes, and admitted it was 100% their fault. He even explained that the insulation was installed wrong, which caused the drain line to clog. He took pictures, made notes, and promised me the company would cover all damages. Then Mike, the install manager, called and told me the same thing: "We'll take care of it, this is our responsibility." I trusted them. But once I submitted the invoices? Suddenly, it was a different story. Holly's Web of Excuses Enter Holly, the office manager -- the queen of excuses. * First, she told me they wouldn't pay because I had "so many contractors" working on my house that any one of them could have damaged the lines. Reality check: I've had two contractors, and they've worked together side by side on everything. * Then she claimed my remodel was "so extensive" that it must've messed with the lines under my house. Let me spell this out: I'm having a backyard refresh, new flooring, and my cabinets painted. That's it. This is not some massive renovation. No one has touched my AC lines. * When those excuses didn't stick, she pulled out the wildest lie yet: blaming my "new siding." My siding hasn't been touched since 1979. They were literally inventing construction that never happened just to dodge responsibility. And here's the kicker -- when I hired independent inspectors from Wighton's (their sister company under Pipedreams) and Bee Right There Plumbing & Air, both confirmed the same thing: the damage was caused by Paso Robles Plumbing, Heating & Air's botched installation. What did Holly do? Denied Wighton's was even their sister company -- despite public lawsuits proving otherwise. She wasn't focused on fixing my bathroom, or my destroyed insulation, or the injuries my grandfather suffered. She was focused on twisting herself into knots to avoid paying. The Aftermath Because of this company's negligence: * My 70-year-old grandfather was severely injured. * My bathroom was gutted by water damage and mold. * My brand-new insulation collapsed after they cut structural supports, leaving it infested with rats. * I've been without a shower or bathroom for weeks. And Paso Robles Plumbing, Heating & Air? They're trying to stick me with the bill while stacking lie after lie on top of each other. FINAL WORD: Paso Robles Plumbing, Heating & Air (and their sister company Wighton's) are dishonest, sloppy, and dangerous. They'll bait you with false promises, wreck your home with careless work, then gaslight you with excuse after excuse to avoid accountability. A/C wasn't working. Requested for someone to come out and take a look. 1. They have AI answering the phones and it is shit to deal with. 2. They had done a fix a few months ago. 3. They got here and after a quick check he said we needed a whole new unit and ducting also. I called another company to get their thoughts and quotes. After the sweltering summer of 2023 in which a local company failed to repair our airconditioner (but charged us $1300), we asked Paso Robles Heating and Air to either repair or replace our existing a/c. They came out to our house and found out that the a/c could not be repaired. It was too damage because it was poorly installed in 2011. We settled on a fair price for a new unit. They took two days for installation. In May one of their workers (Lance) came out and tested the unit to make sure there were no glitches in the system. He did a cautious and thorough investigation -- much better than was done by the previous company. The good news: We sat at home today in a comfortable house at 78 degrees F, while it was 104 degrees F. outside. Thank you PRHA and Lance. read more

If you take my advice do not use Paso Robles Plumbing Heating and Air. The new owners of this business have allowed the service department to practically collapse. For ten years we dealt with this company. Our heating/A/C was installed by Don the owner who sold this company and it seems the service upon which one could have depended went with Don. Today an appointment was set for a service technician to attend to our HVAC and our twice a year seasonl service. At 4 PM when no-one had arrived I phoned, to enquire as to the status of the technician's arrival. The dispatcher said that there was no technician assigned to our home. Yet his same dispatch department phoned me on Wednesday the 14th Feb to ask if I could change my service appointment from Wednesday the 21st to the 14th. Where is the integrity? Where is the trust? I called for service this morning to address a problem caused by a handy-man that he couldn't fix. I needed a hose connected from the water line to my new frdige. The air conditioner had broken during those hot days. Called Paso Robles Heating and Air and was scheduled to have some come out. Stephanie the receptionist was super friendly. She let me know when they would be coming out and called and left a reminder the day before. Dany came out in the morning to fix our unit. He explained what he was doing and explained in a way so we would understand. The unit is old and he fixed it with it's problems as an older unit. He told us what he was doing to help with the problem. We are so happy with his service and kindness he showed us. I would recommend them to anyone who needs help with their heating and cooling unit. To justify the price, their technician complained about the cost of doing business in California. If I could give them -5 stars I would. Firstly, they were 2 and 1/2 hours late (appointment was at 12, he arrived at 2:30) with no call to let me know he was late. The job was to hook up my new sink and new gas cooktop. When the repair man came he said it was too big of a job to do that day because he was off at 3 and it was a 4 hour job.! ( so why did he even come then?) why would that take 4 hours? I asked for an estimate ( we had all the parts) he said it was $400/ hr for labor!!!!! And the total would be $2100!!! I'm not sure where the extra $500 came from after the $1600 for 4 hours of work and we had all the parts??? So I refused the project and then he charged me $90 to come out 2.5 hours late, without enough time to do the job for a ridiculously high estimate! I lost 3 hours of work waiting for this? Any way, my husband, not a contractor or a plumber, (a computer guy) did the whole thing himself in 90 minutes. Do not use this company. read more
