Been using Kenneth for the last few years after we ran into problems during the summer and 100+degree temperatures. Kenneth came out did a quick service of the unit, provided us some great information, even simply, change the filter more often. Later that year they came out and made some changes to our HVAC system since it wasn't installed correctly. Have had them out there a few times and they are prompt, professional and always let you know what they are going to do. Currently have them scheduled next week to finish a repair on our AC unit. So happy I chose Kenneth's for my mini split install. I have loved for 30+ years with a swamp cooler and wood stove as my heating and air. I decided now was the time to do something about that. While other companies wanted to hang units on my log cabin walls Kenneth immediately recognized how terrible that would look and recommended recessed ceiling heads that would add the heating and cooling I was looking for with out taking away for the aesthetics of the house. The guys were in and out in one day. They were professional and efficient. I have blown in insulation that gets everywhere and they had it all cleaned up before they left so all I had to do was turn on my new heater and relax. Our AC died the first day the temps reached 90+ degrees. Kenneth helped last year with our 20 year old system and kept it going for another year. But this year, we knew we needed a new system. He came out the day we called and gave us a great deal on a new system. He scheduled us for the Satuday of Memorial Day weekend. He replaced them and proceeded to spray down the outside of the unit and advised me to do so regularly to assure the A/C unit was operating efficiently. Kenneth's is the only HVAC place you need to call! I had a furnace with some bad fan relays that were causing the unit to constantly overheat and cut power to the whole system. I had four companies come out to evaluate the issue. Two of them said that the furnace was too old and they couldn't get the parts, so I would have to get the whole unit replaced. It's a mid-90s house, so not really that old by house standards and the furnace is in the attic so walls and trusses would have to be cutout and replaced. Probably at least a $10k job (ironically, neither of the companies that said they would provide a new unit quote ever did. Maybe they could sense I wasn't buying their BS). Third company said they believed they could source the parts and sent a quote a few days later. Kenneth's was the last visit, but in retrospect, I should have called him first (I do believe you actually should get multiple opinions/quotes, but just make sure one of those is Kenneth's!). Kenneth himself stopped by and went thru his troubleshooting. He not only correctly diagnosed the malfunctioning relays, but also found that the furnace was operating at a fuel-air mixture set for a pressure altitude around Denver, not the Central Coast sea level that it should have been set at. He suspected that was contributing to my overheating issues as well. If there is such a thing as an "HVAC savant," Kenneth is it! He gave me a very detailed explanation and I was really impressed with his level of knowledge. I can tell he is very passionate about his industry and he takes pride in his work and business. After his thorough diagnosis and explanation of the problem, he then said, "I think I might have the parts in my van. I could probably fix it for you right now." He gave me an estimate that was more than HALF the price of the other repair quote I had. I gave him the go ahead and he had it fixed on the spot. My furnace has been working flawlessly for over three weeks now! I wish every small business operated with the professionalism, competence, and honesty of Kenneth's Heating and Air. We bought a new house and the central AC was not working. Another local HVAC company said it would be about $3500 to repair (partly because the original type of freon used is super expensive and not environmentally friendly), at which point we thought may be better to replace it. We had Kenneth come out to give us another quote for both repair and replacement. When he came out he looked at the AC and said he bet he could fix it for about a thousand bucks. He quickly found the leak and fixed it. Then he recharged the AC and we were back in business within about an hour! The total ended up being $1300 which we were very happy with. read more

Had a A/C system install 5 years ago by Kenneths. I needed service work done so I called another HVAC company. I called someone else because I didn't like the way The installation went 5 years ago. I didn't write a bad review then, but I am now. The service technician pointed out that my A/C unit and other components are badly rusting. The technician stated that Even with all the rain we had this last year there shouldn't have this much rust. I called Kenneth and he said he couldn't come out and check it until 2 weeks later. So, I made an appointment. When Kenneth arrived, he took one look at it and said my sprinklers have caused the problem. we live in a very dry climate. He also stated, "metal isn't what it used to be." Besides, "the compressor company is no longer in business." He would not stand behind his work or materials he used. What a bunch of BS. If I could give this "business" 0 stars, I would. DON'T waste your time or your money. Kenneth came out to do some work on the HVAC in a home that I purchased in November. He was unprofessional, didn't follow through, and held up the escrow. Fast forward to July and the air conditioner wouldn't work in the middle of a heat wave (It was 79 degrees downstairs and 85 upstairs in the bedroom). When I called them to come out to do the warrantee work, they wanted me to wait 2 weeks! I contacted another HVAC company, they came out the same day. Found out that there was a leaky hose, no coolant in the system. There are a lot of great HVAC contractors out there-just not this one. read more

From the start things were a bit rocky. I messaged the owner through yelp, and he quickly responded and said he would have his office call me later in the day with an appointment time. That never happened. I decided to call and set up an appointment directly, and got an appointment the next day. I was encouraged at first, with the technician working to solve my issue of a noisy furnace by looking at some (very) basic lubrication. He shot some WD40 in, without disassembling anything and called it good. We waited 2 days and the situation did not improve. The tech said over the phone that we would need to replace the motor. I had to call 2 days later to find out that the motor was "no longer available" and got the overall advice I should consider replacing the furnace for estimated $3900. I realized that the technician had 1) never even HEARD the noise (didn't wait long enough for it to reproduce) and 2) never even unfastened a single screw. I decided to look into it before plunking down lots of $$ and long story short, with 1 hour fully invested found the proper lubrication spots on the motor and solved the issue myself. This was pretty disappointing. I'm giving 2 stars because I did get a tech out within a short period, and he actually knew the right answer from the start (cheap lubrication was all that was needed). 2 stars is pretty generous though, since for $110 diagnosis fee, it would have been nice if he had removed the 4 screws that ended up making the lubrication job much more obvious. That would have been an easy 5 star experience. read more

I called several times to ask when the quote would be ready and it's always "oh, at the end of the week". After waiting for over a month, I gave up. I guess they don't need the business. Kenneth is incredible. My AC unit stopped working so I contacted Kenneth's Heating and Air via Yelp and got a phone call surprisingly within minutes. Kenneth was very polite and enthusiastic on the phone which was very refreshing and comforting. I could tell he was genuinely concerned about my AC needs and wanted to help me ASAP. He offered to squeeze me in the same day even though he was technically closed on a Sunday. WOW! so impressed! Kenneth showed up sooner than expected with his young apprentice son and quickly assessed the problem. I was impressed at how well he knew his way around my AC unit as he explained to his son what was happening. It was a complex problem and he quickly fixed it within an hours' time at an incredibly reasonable price. Kenneth replaced a part, washed out the AC unit, and topped off the refrigerant which he found low after testing. He gave me some preventative maintenance tips and set me up with a plan to prevent break downs in the future! I have already made plans to have Kenneth come back and update my AC unit as well as install an attic fan to keep the house cooler.
