One of my air-conditioning units stopped working, so I called a repairman I had used in the past. After seeming a bit unsure of the problem, he said the unit needed a new capacitor--but that did not solve it. I decided to try Kenneth's based on the excellent reviews, and I'm very glad I did. Kenneth came out, went straight to the condenser outside without needing to enter the attic, and identified the problem within about 30 seconds. He repaired it quickly and efficiently. He was so competent that I had him return a couple of weeks later to service my other units. Kenneth is extraordinarily efficient, personable, and clear in explaining both the issue and the repair. I also appreciated being able to get an appointment within a reasonable timeframe in the middle of a heat wave. Highly recommended. read more

I highly recommend Kenneth's Heating & Air! I've used Kenneth for both my home and my rental property, and I always know I can count on him. He is reliable, honest, professional, and does excellent work. I wouldn't use anyone else for my heating and air needs! read more

Logan was professional and courteous when he installed a new quieter pump for my mini split.

Been using Kenneth for the last few years after we ran into problems during the summer and 100+degree temperatures. Kenneth came out did a quick service of the unit, provided us some great information, even simply, change the filter more often. Later that year they came out and made some changes to our HVAC system since it wasn't installed correctly. Have had them out there a few times and they are prompt, professional and always let you know what they are going to do. Currently have them scheduled next week to finish a repair on our AC unit. Recommend them? Yes! Great company who has served us very well. read more

We called Kenneth's for an appointment to have a maintenance check on our air conditioner. On the day of the appointment we got a call from Logan that he could come early which worked out great. We appreciated the call. Logan answered all of our questions and gave us helpful information. He did a thorough examination of the unit and everything looked good. We will be having Kenneth's return in the Fall for our heater to get checked next. We recommend Kenneth's heating and air! read more

We've been using Kenneth for the past couple of years and as usual, they were prompt, professional and fixed our A/C issue with minimal charge. Logan was here, fixed our problem and was out of here in less than a half hour. Their team is the best around. We 100% recommend!! read more

Kenneth was so helpful and his team in the office is great, too. He was able to get out to me on the same day, called ahead, and was on time. He answered all of our questions, gave good advice on what needed maintenance and how we can better maintain our A/C moving forward. We will definitely be returning customers for furnace maintenance and any other challenges that may arise with the A/C. read more

On time. Clean, respectful. Answered all my questions. Didn't leave a mess & disposed of all the old components. I recommend them.

So happy I chose Kenneth's for my mini split install. I have loved for 30+ years with a swamp cooler and wood stove as my heating and air. I decided now was the time to do something about that. While other companies wanted to hang units on my log cabin walls Kenneth immediately recognized how terrible that would look and recommended recessed ceiling heads that would add the heating and cooling I was looking for with out taking away for the aesthetics of the house. The guys were in and out in one day. They were professional and efficient. I have blown in insulation that gets everywhere and they had it all cleaned up before they left so all I had to do was turn on my new heater and relax. Can't say enough good things about Kenneth and his team. Thank you guys. read more

I researched, got estimates. Kenneth's available when he came to get an estimateto me, other estimates not so much. Kenneth explained what was best and why. Kenneth's staff was great to do the job that Kenneth set up for my Mini Split. There was a surprise issue and Kenneth assisted with his resources to assist with getting that figured out. I would recommend Kenneth's Heating and Air, you won't be disappointed. read more

I recommend Kenneth 1000%!! He installed our heating system a few years ago & we recently had some "visitors" in our attic who chewed wires and stopped the system from working. Kenneth is honest, timely, knowledgeable, efficient, fair...and incredibly kind! He was fabulous with the installation & even better with the repair! I cannot recommend him enough! Thanks so much! read more

It took me a while to find a good heating and air service on the central coast, but Kenneth's is just that. Professional, courteous, and reliable. Kenneth has been taking care of my furnace in Los Osos for a couple of years now and the service has always been excellent. Highly recommended. read more

I highly recommend this business! They were fast, efficient, and gave great advice on how to maintain our unit. Thank you!

Our AC died the first day the temps reached 90+ degrees. Kenneth helped last year with our 20 year old system and kept it going for another year. But this year, we knew we needed a new system. He came out the day we called and gave us a great deal on a new system. He scheduled us for the Satuday of Memorial Day weekend. His crew called a day early and asked if they could install it that day! Isaias came to the door and introduced himself. He was personable, polite and communicative. He explained the process and got to work. His crew treated us with the utmost respect and were very hard workers given that the heat would have melted the faint of heart. They finished that afternoon and everything is up and running perfectly. Thanks, Kenneth and Crew read more

Kenneth and his team are awesome. They did a superb job disconnecting and later reconnecting my air condenser that I had to have moved temporarily for a landscaping project. Hayley his office manager was also very nice and professional. The quote I received to do this job was far cheaper than ones I received from other HVAC businesses. If I ever need heating or air services in the future, it'll be with Kenneth's Heating and Air! -Shane read more

Kenneth's service for an air conditioning system he installed eleven years ago was very poor. He charged me $1500 for repairs that did not solve the problem--the system did not cool the house below 84F for the entire summer. read more

Kenneth arrived on time and located the source of the A/C problem. He allowed me to watch him work and showed me the defective parts. He replaced them and proceeded to spray down the outside of the unit and advised me to do so regularly to assure the A/C unit was operating efficiently. His rates were reasonable and he even gave me a veteran's discount. Highly recommended read more

We've used Kenneth's twice now and they are great! Honest, knowledgeable, and very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and call them.

Kenneth's is the only HVAC place you need to call! I had a furnace with some bad fan relays that were causing the unit to constantly overheat and cut power to the whole system. I had four companies come out to evaluate the issue. Two of them said that the furnace was too old and they couldn't get the parts, so I would have to get the whole unit replaced. It's a mid-90s house, so not really that old by house standards and the furnace is in the attic so walls and trusses would have to be cutout and replaced. Probably at least a $10k job (ironically, neither of the companies that said they would provide a new unit quote ever did. Maybe they could sense I wasn't buying their BS). Third company said they believed they could source the parts and sent a quote a few days later. Kenneth's was the last visit, but in retrospect, I should have called him first (I do believe you actually should get multiple opinions/quotes, but just make sure one of those is Kenneth's!). Kenneth himself stopped by and went thru his troubleshooting. He not only correctly diagnosed the malfunctioning relays, but also found that the furnace was operating at a fuel-air mixture set for a pressure altitude around Denver, not the Central Coast sea level that it should have been set at. He suspected that was contributing to my overheating issues as well. If there is such a thing as an "HVAC savant," Kenneth is it! He gave me a very detailed explanation and I was really impressed with his level of knowledge. I can tell he is very passionate about his industry and he takes pride in his work and business. After his thorough diagnosis and explanation of the problem, he then said, "I think I might have the parts in my van. I could probably fix it for you right now." He gave me an estimate that was more than HALF the price of the other repair quote I had. I gave him the go ahead and he had it fixed on the spot. My furnace has been working flawlessly for over three weeks now! I wish every small business operated with the professionalism, competence, and honesty of Kenneth's Heating and Air. Kenneth's definitely stands out and deserves a chance to earn your business. If I ever have another HVAC problem again, he will be my first call! read more

We just love Kenneth and his crew. Cassandra at the office is always a joy to speak with and she treats every call like it's her own family In need. For being the hottest summer in history, these guys are super busy, but never busy enough to take their time to explain what's going on, exactly what they are doing and how to avoid problems in the future. He's been servicing our building now for several years and I've even referred Kenneth's to do some larger jobs for commercial spaces. This is the team you want on your side! Courteous, clean, up front with everything and over all good vibes. Thanks Kenneth! read more

We bought a new house and the central AC was not working. Another local HVAC company said it would be about $3500 to repair (partly because the original type of freon used is super expensive and not environmentally friendly), at which point we thought may be better to replace it. We had Kenneth come out to give us another quote for both repair and replacement. When he came out he looked at the AC and said he bet he could fix it for about a thousand bucks. He quickly found the leak and fixed it. Then he recharged the AC and we were back in business within about an hour! The total ended up being $1300 which we were very happy with. read more

I was very pleased with Kenneth's. He was very professional, communicated timing and appointments efficiently did a great check-up and explanation for me on my heater and gave me a very reasonable quote to update some of my ductwork to make my heating and cooling more energy efficient. If I could give these guys a 10 star review I would. Sean came out today. My home is 45 years old and Sean went above and beyond to make sure that everything is in proper working order. Had a A/C system install 5 years ago by Kenneths. I needed service work done so I called another HVAC company. I called someone else because I didn't like the way The installation went 5 years ago. I didn't write a bad review then, but I am now. The service technician pointed out that my A/C unit and other components are badly rusting. The technician stated that Even with all the rain we had this last year there shouldn't have this much rust. I called Kenneth and he said he couldn't come out and check it until 2 weeks later. So, I made an appointment. When Kenneth arrived, he took one look at it and said my sprinklers have caused the problem. we live in a very dry climate. He also stated, "metal isn't what it used to be." Besides, "the compressor company is no longer in business." He would not stand behind his work or materials he used. What a bunch of BS. As one of the other reviewers stated. If I could give a zero-star review, I would. Stay away from this company. read more

From the start things were a bit rocky. I messaged the owner through yelp, and he quickly responded and said he would have his office call me later in the day with an appointment time. That never happened. I decided to call and set up an appointment directly, and got an appointment the next day. I was encouraged at first, with the technician working to solve my issue of a noisy furnace by looking at some (very) basic lubrication. He shot some WD40 in, without disassembling anything and called it good. We waited 2 days and the situation did not improve. The tech said over the phone that we would need to replace the motor. I had to call 2 days later to find out that the motor was "no longer available" and got the overall advice I should consider replacing the furnace for estimated $3900. I realized that the technician had 1) never even HEARD the noise (didn't wait long enough for it to reproduce) and 2) never even unfastened a single screw. I decided to look into it before plunking down lots of $$ and long story short, with 1 hour fully invested found the proper lubrication spots on the motor and solved the issue myself. This was pretty disappointing. I'm giving 2 stars because I did get a tech out within a short period, and he actually knew the right answer from the start (cheap lubrication was all that was needed). 2 stars is pretty generous though, since for $110 diagnosis fee, it would have been nice if he had removed the 4 screws that ended up making the lubrication job much more obvious. That would have been an easy 5 star experience. read more

Always prompt, professional and efficient. Our air stopped blowing cold air and they were out next day and even called us back to get us on the schedule even earlier the next day. Our tech Leo was super knowledgeable and so friendly. Hard working family company who hires great tecs. They fixed the problem in less than an hour and we were blowing 53 degree cold air in no time. Just call Kenneth's! read more

If I could give this "business" 0 stars, I would. DON'T waste your time or your money. Kenneth came out to do some work on the HVAC in a home that I purchased in November. He was unprofessional, didn't follow through, and held up the escrow. Fast forward to July and the air conditioner wouldn't work in the middle of a heat wave (It was 79 degrees downstairs and 85 upstairs in the bedroom). When I called them to come out to do the warrantee work, they wanted me to wait 2 weeks! I contacted another HVAC company, they came out the same day. Found out that there was a leaky hose, no coolant in the system. There are a lot of great HVAC contractors out there-just not this one. read more

Called Kenneth's to get a quote for installing a new AC. They took the time come out to see the job but never wrote a quote for it. I called several times to ask when the quote would be ready and it's always "oh, at the end of the week". After waiting for over a month, I gave up. I guess they don't need the business. Very disappointed from such a highly rated company. read more

AMAZING COMPANY AND CREW! I can't sing their praises loud enough! Our HVAC broke down in the middle of winter, and we were without heat for 10 long weeks trying to determine what we needed (and didn't need...HVAC sales reps told us we needed WAY more repaired/replaced that we truly did). After a call to the city permit office, they recommended we try some local companies, and we couldn't be happier that we chose Kenneth's. Service was prompt, professional, affordable and they cleaned up after themselves. Their initial quote to us was accurate and true to what we were billed after the job was completed. They also only use American made products which made us feel even better about our purchase. Thank you Kenneth and thanks to your awesome team. read more
