I ordered (and he recommended) the southwestern chorizo hash with two eggs poached medium? The eggs were cooked perfectly, the beans had just the right amount of incorporated arbol pepper to help you feel the heat, but very complimentary to the meal. The potatoes had a terrific crust / texture that led to a fluffy and tender middle. All in all, the breakfast exceeded my expectations. The food was pretty decent. Not bad at all for a hotel restaurant, but nothing that really stood out. The ambiance was the best part. The restaurant has a nice open feel with lots of windows looking out over the courtyard. We were there on a Friday night, and they had a sax player who provided some great background music and added to the overall vibe. If you're staying at the hotel, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try. But I wouldn't make a special trip just to eat here. The food was good, just not memorable. Service was okay, but nothing special. One thing to be aware of: they automatically add a 24% gratuity for parties of six or more. We had seven people and didn't realize it until the check showed up. We came here right when we arrived from California. The front desk mentioned there was a bar in the middle of the hotel that serves food and drinks, so we figured it would be an easy first meal after traveling. We ordered mocktails to start. They were decent, nothing special, just okay. I decided to order a burger since it's usually a safe option, especially at a bar. The girl asked how I wanted it cooked and I said medium. While we're sitting there, she's chatting away with another girl that had just sat at the bar, completely ignoring us. The burger finally comes out. I ask for a knife, cut it in half because I was only planning to eat half, and right away I can see it's raw. Not medium. Raw to the point where the blood was soaking into the bread. I usually eat medium steak, so I'm not picky, but this was not edible. I'm trying to get her attention and she's still over there talking, not paying attention at all. I finally get up and go ask someone, which ended up being the kitchen manager. At that point I would have preferred they just take it off the bill, but they insisted on remaking it. The second burger comes out and now it's the complete opposite. Burnt. Not just the patty, the buns too. I took maybe one small bite and that was it. After traveling all day, barely eating, I was just over it. I boxed it up and left it. What made it worse is they saw that I didn't eat it and still left it on the bill. We paid it anyway because at that point it was more uncomfortable than anything. My partner ordered Cajun wings and they were so salty it was hard to eat them. Not flavorful, just overly salted. Between the service, the lack of attention, a raw burger followed by a burnt one, and food that was barely edible, it was a really disappointing experience. We're had tried to watch the spurs game at a nearby spot and it was incredibly packed with no parking so we decided to find the next closest thing which was Paseo Bar! It was located inside Estancia del Norte and the perfect vibe for what we needed. We ended up having a better time here as the vibe was more chill and the staff were incredibly friendly and sweet. No ambiance to speak of. You eat in a brightly lit lobby on diner like tables. Ok for breakfast I guess but not dinner. Apparently they can't dim the lights. Had dinner at the bar. Reasonably priced drinks. Friendly service but the kitchen was ultra slow. Was given a free drink to apologize for it. The blackened fish tacos were exceptional!!! Highly recommend the tacos. Based on dinner was back for breakfast since staying at the hotel. Very slow service again. Fried eggs were cold. Hash browns were tasty. Bacon crispy but ultra thin. While staying at the hotel, decided to have breakfast here and so glad I did! I'm originally from Texas but moving to California this was one of the few times I have been able to have a good Mexican breakfast and it was delicious! The food was perfectly cooked and the food had great flavor! The tortillas were good and the salsa was very good! The customer service provided by the server was excellent and the ambiance was super as it gives you that southern, Mexican charm and so does the entire hotel! The staff were great. The unfortunate part was there were quite a few items on the menu during our visit that were not available. You can easily find a private nook or sit at the bar and watch tv. Spacious bar with couches, plenty of bar stools and more tables. It is right in the middle of the hotel making it so easy for people to gather and enjoy Happy Hour. We tried lots of their cocktails ... enjoyed every one of them. My fav was the Paloma rimmed with Tajin. I will give them props because the Classic Margarita was a very close second. The Poteet Sweet was a great dessert cocktail to end the night. The appetizers of choice were Texas Fajita Nachos and the Filet Mignon Philly Sliders. Such a huge plate of nachos ... covered with plenty of fajitas, queso and pico. Every bite was full of flavor through to the end. The sliders were covered in cheese, grilled onions and peppers, and super tender steak on sweet slider buns. Addicting flavors. The service was good .. they were busy!! Paseo Bar is 410 hidden gem! This restaurant/bar is located inside Hotel Estancia del Norte. If you've never visited this hotel it is definitely a must. Their patio is absolutely beautiful and if you love architecture, you will love the design and structure of this building (very old San Antonio...but in a good way). I've been to Paseo Bar a couple times during lunch time and everything I've ordered has been delicious. Who would've known they have the most amazing burgers and salads?! I've never had a drink at their bar, but they have a huge selections of drinks and their menu sounds amazing. I think they have happy hour daily and live music on Fridays. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good lunch menu, or to have drinks after work with friends (and skip the traffic). read more

Loved their happy hour, I got the Watermelon sugar cocktail for $5 and it was refreshing. I've been craving steak for a few weeks so I decided to get the steak and fries instead of the happy hour appetizers. It was a 10oz New York strip steak with rosemary garlic butter and it definitely satisfied my craving. The butter is what sold it for me, SO good. Fries were well seasoned, service was great, the bartenders were attentive. The bar staff is great and friendly! I am here a few times a month for work and they are always pleasant. I enjoy the burgers, the SA fries, and the queso/salsa appetizer (I add the guacamole too which is ). The local beers on tap are solid and their mixed drink game is as well. read more

It's a great day when you discover a cool and happening spot for happy hour. The bar was full and they had a really talented lady singing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My bartender was Caesar and he took good care of me. The people around me were friendly as well. I got two cocktails. They are pictured and they were very good. Came for a date night and this place missed the mark. It is not quiet and intimate, but bright and loud (or maybe just certain people were loud and rowdy). Some of their marketing also says "bar and lounge", there is no lounge, just mostly the bar and regular tables. Simply put, it does not have a date night feel. First off, I stay at this hotel on a regular basis. I have been to this bar on dozens of occasions. The service is abysmal! What was mediocre service has now become awful. Hilton needs to wake up and do an overhaul of the bar staff. It's not busy, you have tons of staff.... and terrible service. The staff has mastered the are of ignoring people. read more
