This was a very quick visit. A rooftop bar right in the heart of town. We stopped by had one cocktail that the waitress highly recommended & it was very refreshing & delicious. I wish we could've stayed longer but definitely next time.
Everything about this place says "high class" casual. Service was incredible. Ask for Sherry if you can. We sat right near the glass railing so we could see the river. The food was great, the atmosphere was inviting, and we loved the way they paid attention to the details. If I'm ever in San Antonio again, I'll be back!
This bar is definitely at the top of my list in San Antonio. It has a great vibe, and the staff is very friendly. I've been here multiple times and will definitely keep coming back. If you go, I recommend having dinner downstairs at Domingo and then grabbing a drink at the bar upstairs--they're located in the same building.
On the third floor of the Hilton Canopy hotel and above Domingo restaurant, this is a nice little bar with a small balcony. There's not much of a view but it's comfortable and cozy. Our cocktails were fine but nothing special or especially unique. Service was good. Drinks run about $16 each and there are a few limited appetizers available to order. It's a nice place to have a drink before dinner but not a place I'd go out of my way to go back to.
Amazing vibes, awesome bartenders & great views !!! My fav bar in San Antonio when I visited. Very open and modern bar, they have little snacks and food too. Drinks were 10/10!!!! I wish we had this bar in Austin overlooking the lake it was such a nice breeze from up top. I will be back!! Best bar in SA
After seeing cute instagram pictures of the grinch decor, we decided to come check it out and I couldn't believe we hadn't been here before. For starters, the view itself! You see the riverwalk, Aztec theatre and all the twinkling lights at night. Off to a great start! We got two drinks, 1 holiday one that came in a light bulb and an off the menu watermelon margarita. Both drinks were very good and strong. A bit pricey but to be expected from the location. The bartenders were very welcoming and the place was a bit empty for a Friday night, but probably because it was chilly and windy. There are indoor seats which are available if it's too cold for you. Overall, I'm excited to make this a regular place to visit with out of towners or just to hang out. Come check it out!

My problem was I came here and expected too much and the place, drinks, vibe and service did not deliver. The server did not want to be there and she seemed to be the only one, which I can have patience for, but her attitude was so off putting. Didn't bother wiping down the tables and when she handed us the menus they were falling apart, literally. This place fronted, I low key felt love bombed. Article I had read made it seem so chill and cool. Anyways, we ordered our drinks, they came out quickly but damn did they suck. Ingredients seemed to clash with each other, they didnt mesh well and not only was it my drink. My husband had asked for water three times until they finally remembered to bring it out for him. I thought it was funny how our time there seemed so bleh, there were actually crickets CHIRPING so loud, and THAT was exactly how we felt. Claims to be a roof top bar, on the third floor? idk. Like another reviewer wrote, "A mix of possibilities."
A mix of possibilities. I loved the guacamole and chips .. good flavor and some serious heat. The service was fast and friend.. could talk all night. What I do not understand is a Paloma with well tequila costs the same as an old fashion with premium bourbon. Neither drink impressed me. The view is what you come for and it has plenty. Outside. Overlooking the Riverwalk. My real complaint is they have to find a solution for the bees. Oh the bees.
Night cap on the rooftop bar. Popped in for one last drink for the evening. It's overlooking the river walk, but removed from the crowds. Their signature cocktails are delicious. Great ambience and friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit.
This place is amazing! The atmosphere, food, service, drinks. . . We had an amazing experience here & WILL definitely be back!! The Wagyu Flat Iron was pure perfection. The enchiladas were delicious, the ceviche was a perfect starter & the brownie was to die for. CANT WAIT TO COME BACK
Stopped here for drinks while in San Antonio. Bar is on the 3rd floor overlooking N. St. Mary's St. Not a bad view. Drinks well balanced and decent variety. Sat inside as the seats at the bar were extremely uncomfortable. It's in a hotel but not a bad spot to have a drink especially as the sun sets or at night.
The drinks are good I loved the Selena inspired cocktail 'Amor Prohibido.' The outdoor balcony is shaded which is a must in the humid San Antonio heat! The view overlooks the River walk without being touristy. I would come back again!

Cool place to hang out and drink when staying at canopy or headed to a show at the Aztec. Nice riverwalk views, and even better there's a lovely breeze that passes through and makes this spot way cooler than Riverwalk Level. I tried almost all the cocktails on the May 2026 menu, and by far my favorite was the Devil's in the Canyon. Loaded with refreshing cucumber flavor, a Tajin rim is a must to get the best punch from this libation. Service at the bar is swift and kind, whereas it can be slow if you're seated at the other balcony nooks. read more
It was recently suggested that I write more about my good experiences than the bad ones. So this is fresh off of the stack of 4+ star recent experiences. Otro (the other other white meat) is an excellent experience all-around when it is not that busy. It has a great view of downtown and/or the riverwalk depending on where you are looking. It is an open air bar (not on the roof roof since the tower is 18+ stories, but on a lower roof patio-style) so you are subject to the elements. I was very cold so the boys behind the bar smartly lit the heat lamp things out on the patio to warm things back above freezing so I could feel my hands again. The menu is simple but solid to get some food in you. The torta chips are the salty, brilliant kind with a nice undercarriage and crisp to them. They are substantial chips, not like the ones from the supermarché that will crumble into dust like Thanos snapped his fingers every time you even look at the torta chips. The guacamole is even better - it is not spicy! And they use real avocados, not the chemical aftertaste you get from some sham Tex-Mex joints. I had a detailed discussion with the bartender that I did not want this if it was spicy, and he assured me it was not spicy even though he understood that people like me think toothpaste is spicy. He was correct about the lack of spice. It was smooth and creamy, with no spice from the kitchen for this beautiful porcelain doll. The only oddity is that they did not have draft beer. You could get a can that you had to drink out of the can, no pint glass on the side even. They seemed much more focused on mixed liquor drinks. I don't drink liquor. If you also do not drink liquor then most of the bar is not going to apply to you if you are in the beer or wine mode. It gets loud on the patio with only a few people. I was just trying to warm up with the heat lamps and my chips and guac, and a few tables of bros either pre-gaming or post-gaming quickly makes it feel less luxurious with the ambient sounds of the riverwalk and more like the sports bar section at Bennigans 25 years ago. Great service, especially with the heat lamps. Excellent chips and guac for a mild/no spice option. Gets very loud with only a small number of people, so not as peaceful as one would hope. It does not have the historic import that the Esquire has next door. But the fried pickles at the Esquire squared up with chips and guac at Otro? Now that is a difficult decision to make and with the economy in shambles we surely can't do both, and sorry for calling you Shirley. I am a repeat visitor, so nothing has scared me off yet before/after Dave & Busters (regardless of weather) or on the way back to the Pearl if the weather is suitable for walkin'. Solid four stars. read more

Do not come to this bar a few hours before closing time. The bartenders don't want to be there. Last call on a Sunday when they place is dead about 2 hours before. Then they turn the music off and all the bright light on as soon as they make you pay and get your drinks. We didn't feel welcome and left with an entire drinks to our rooms. Not unless you like to take your drinks like shots then beware take your money elsewhere. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTED after seeing the food photos on Yelp. Cool spot of the Riverwalk ONLY IF YOU ARE COOL WITH PIGEONS WALKING ON YOUR TABLE!!! Service was EXTREMELY SLOW, Food was tasteless, unless you consider sweet a flavor (which it should not be when it comes to short rib quesadillas). A nice chill hangout spot away from the crowd. Great drinks, tasty snacks, and snappy service. Food: We ordered the halibut ceviche, chicharrones, adobe chicken, and pork carnitas taco. All of them are extremely delicious in their own rite. As someone who doesn't like ceviche it was light, yet bright and citrusy. The homemade hot sauce that comes with the pork rinds is delightfully flavorful. The carnitas were crisp and tasty. My suggestion with the adobe chicken is: ask for it on a corn tortilla! It makes for a fantastic taco. Drinks: We ordered the No seas fresa, Amor prohibido, One flew south, The mule, and the Sana Sana. All of them are great, but the No seas fresa is exceptional. The Amor prohibido is great if you're a fan of bitter drinks with a sweet twist. Service: Fantastic service. We were seated immediately on the rooftop at at 6 on a Saturday. The service was extremely quick and we were never left waiting for long on anything. Overall, I highly recommend Otro as a stop for an intimate meal and drink with friends & family. read more

Cannot comment on the food but the cocktails are good just a little pricey but honestly anywhere on the Riverwalk is pricey. The waitress was super nice, she made a great recommendation for me just cannot remember the name of the cocktail. My husband went with an old fashion. This place is on the 3rd floor of The Canopy by Hilton. Their indoor area is for all ages and the outdoor deck is 21+. read more

Third stop on the first annual Christmas Eve pub crawl. This bar is in the new Canopy hotel and elevated off the Riverwalk for awesome people watching. A little chilly, no problem, we were given some cozy Mexican blankets. As a DTSA (downtown San Antonio) resident, this has been my favorite bar experience directly on the Riverwalk. A must!!! The rain didn't stop the good time! The drinks were amazing, we never wanted to leave. Thank you to Joan Villanueva, an amazing bartender. Best bartender we have encountered! He was very nice and super knowledgeable! We were having such a great time that unfortunately did not even pick up our phones to take pics. That was a shame because the drinks definitely looked like a work of art! read more

If you are at the Riverwalk in San Antonio, this bar is a must! The food and drinks are really delicious and very creative. This place has the views and aesthetics, it's the perfect spot for a date. Some of the staff are extremely nice, but it depends on how busy the place is. The wind breeze feels amazing every time I visit! read more

Second time visiting Otro. The ambiance is really nice and laid back. The people there are very chill and relaxed. It's great hidden gem to visit for a drink or simple vibes. The staff are very polite and friendly. The drink selection is okay. The River Walker wasn't the best, in my opinion. Overall, a good experience. read more

Oh. My. Goodness. Where to start? Get a "One Flew South". You will not be disappointed. The grilled adobo chicken and pork carnitas tacos are outstanding. Then the best guacamole you've ever had. All while enjoying the patio and River walk. read more

Arrived at Otro bar around 9:30pm. They only had 1 cocktail server for all the tables, therefore, don't expect any service. Our table still had the previous customers dirty glasses on it which we had to look at the whole time! After about 10 minutes of waiting and no service, I went to bar to order drinks. So, along with your $15 cocktail, you also get a Free view of the homeless sleeping on the sidewalk on the street below..not the experience or atmosphere you'd expect at such a place and the Hilton! Not a pleasant evening..don't need to go out and spend money for this! Won't be going back! read more
