Initially I really had a good feeling about bringing my business to them. Simple things like having scans and printouts done same day were easy and cost less than the Fedex next door. However, larger jobs require more teeth pulling when dealing with them. I decided to try them out further. When I came in, I was assisted by a lady who helped me design these tags I needed for party favors. The order was 100 2x2 tags for $25 and design fee was $10. I paid before I left because I was assured my tags would be done by the following week. That day, they promised I would get an email with a couple drafts I could look over and approve one before final printing. This was Tuesday, two days before Thanksgiving. I never got the email. I called the following day, Wednesday, still no email. I called Monday to see what what the delay was about and still no answer. Finally after a few calls, I had come to communicating with a very rude man over the phone, who had absolutely no phone etiquette whatsoever. Mind you, I am a paying customer, the least he could do is say good bye properly and not be so short or in a hurry to get me off the phone each time I spoke with him. Maybe they are just too busy to be on the phone, as I didn't take it personal. I am a pretty patient individual who is also very understanding. Aside from the lack of communication and follow-up on their end, which all professional businesses should incorporate towards relations to their customers; the initial job requested was delivered successfully and on time. They did a great job printing, cutting the tags, which they even put holes in them for me to make it easier for me to tie the favors. I would definitely use them again despite the lack of follow-up communication. Overall, I was very satisfied with their work and could oversee the minor hiccup. read more

The pitfalls of printing my own business cards were adding up. It was getting expensive, what with buying vellum and printer ink all the time. I was always running out of cards because I kept running out of card stock/kept running out of printer ink/kept forgetting to print more. My printer likes to eat vellum, so I'd end up with about half the cards I started with. And the end product looked like something a tech-savvy 5-year-old might do. So the other day, walking to my car from the bank, it came to me-- a sign. That sign said, "Business Cards." And it was beautifully printed. So I walked into the store that had the sign, and within 5 minutes, I'd set up an initial order of 250 cards for about $79 with Thomas Davis (who I assume is the owner, as he has the fancy comfy chair behind the desk in the lone office in the store). He asked me to send him the template I already had, and I gave him free reign to do with it what he liked. By the end of the day, he'd emailed me a mock-up, and I was blown away with how good they looked. WAY better than a 5-year-old could do, even a tech-savvy one! I was psyched. I emailed him back the one change I wanted, he mailed me back the new mock-up, and I picked up my kick-ass new business cards the next day. He even gave me about 100 extra cards as a "bonus." I haven't done a lot of price-comparing, but I think Pasadena Imaging might be a little bit more expensive than some of the big shops. However, I'm all about supporting small businesses, and I think their prices are still reasonable. In any event, it's a helluvalot cheaper than buying reams of vellum and printer ink by the gallon to print very unimpressive business cards. I gave out my new business cards like crazy yesterday, and everyone who got one went, "Oooo! Nice card!" That is all the reassurance I need. Thanks, Thomas Davis! This printing company is literally the worst. They are so fragile it and are the most awful type of business people that I have ever worked. I needed my graduation cards finished from this establishment and instead of finishing them they made up excuses for three weeks and I did not get my product until I tried to cancel the product and then I got sent to the owners email. The owner does not speak fluent English and he did not understand my frustration with a week's work turning into three weeks of Procrastination that I had to pay for. I ended up having to use another company and this company still did not give me my product. Where is $600 I ever spent. Waste of time don't even try to use these people because all they do is commit fraud. I hope they close soon because seeing as the other reviews don't look good people shouldn't use them for anything. read more

Just like the Pasadena Printing and copy shop, stay away from this one. I came into the store and asked for a quote on printing 1000 business cards. When I came back the next day, he told me the quote was just for the card stock. And, if I wanted to have something actually printed on the business card, it would cost an additional $230. Considering that there are five other print shops around the area, these business practices don't make any sense. In fact there is a Kinko's and an office max right next to it and charged less than 1/3 the price for the exact same thing. A local mom and pop shop that charges more than a large commercial store but provides better quality and service makes a lot of sense to go to, and helps boost the local economy. But if you charge three times your chain store competitor for the exact same thing, emphasize a "no refund" policy (even when it's your fault), your customer service is crap, and you openly try a bait and switch, you really shouldn't be surprised you got one star on a yelp review. read more

I went to them to print and perfect bind a 50 page book on cardstock, which they promised overnight. That was fine except for two problems: 1. The quote they gave me in the store was three times more expensive than the quote I received over the phone. 2. They printed the first page twice. The lady who helped me didn't offer to fix it and simply said, "Oh. I don't know how that got there". I decided that it was tolerable but changed my mind and went back later that day for repair, which was thankfully fulfilled free of charge by the next day. I was hoping they would reprint it but they decided to try removing the extra page instead, so I had to leave it with them overnight. 3. The next day, the man who presented my book tried to flip it in such a way that I wouldn't notice the huge yellow glue mark on the inside cover next to the spine. The glob was as wide as my pinky. I'm guessing they were trying to cover up a mistake with glue, which didn't work at all. I didn't notice this until I got home which was completely my fault for not checking in the store (I was in a big rush). I'm going to accept the book as is for now - as it's not a big deal for my project - and take it back after my deadline. I'd still rate one star regardless of how it turns out. ...In any case, no one should have to tolerate this level of service. On the upside, they're really nice people ...who don't seem to be bothered at all by their mistakes. If you can settle for below mediocre quality, then they are the place for you. read more

Don't waste your time and money to come here. My fiancee and I really should have listened to the other reviewer's comments here, and gone somewhere else. They have ridiculous pricing. There is no set pricing, and they just throw out some high price, and go from there. We needed to print mailing addresses on metallic colored envelopes. Unfortunately, FedEx couldn't print on the envelopes due to the material. At first, the person wanted us to pay $120 to print on about 80 envelopes. That was way too high, and so he said he was willing to "go down to $90." That's still more than $1 for each envelope. We grudgingly paid the price because it is conveniently located for us. We also had some addresses that we still needed to collect for the envelopes, and the person said that we could just email them the files, and they could print them. That night we emailed them four new addresses. Of course, when we go back to pick up the envelopes the next day, they not only hadn't printed the extra addresses, but they wanted to charge us FIFTEEN dollars to print addresses on FOUR envelopes. I really don't know how they manage to stay in business with these kinds of practices. I guess there's a lot of people out there like us that make that mistake. I really hope people read these reviews on Yelp, and see how unprofessional this business is. UPDATE: My fiancee and I were stuffing envelopes this weekend, and our experience with this business keeps getting worse. There were bits of tape on at least a quarter of our envelopes, and more than half of our envelopes had roller marks on them. read more

I went here to have a picture blown up to poster size for an event. Went in on a Thursday and the owner told me the poster will be ready tomorrow. I said I cannot pick up tomorrow but Tuesday will be great. Guess what happened when I walked in Tuesday afternoon to pick up my over priced poster? its not even printed. WTF!!! really? what happened to "it will be ready tomorrow?" waited about half an hour for the poster to be printed. Really? I don't mind waiting if only i was told too or needed the poster right away, but you had 4 days to print the single page poster. Never going here again. read more

SIT TIGHT LADIES AND GENTS BECAUSE THIS IS A STORY. YOU LIKE STORIES RIGHT? Okay I like to account for quality of service AND customer service. I'd give them 0 stars for their attitude and maybe two stars because they screwed up my orders, but fixed it, but there are PLENTY of other print shops for cheap in the area. I've been here twice and neither times were pleasant - 2 friends also hate it. If you want to get stuff printed and have all the time in the world to wait, then this place is perfect for you! First encounter: I walk in and wasn't greeted for five minutes though I made many eye contact with several of the employees. I think they either expected someone else would answer me or Idk what. There were plenty of bodies not doing anything. An older gentleman finally approached me and informed that I needed to email them my image files, which is understandable. So, I tried to log onto my google drive on my phone to access the poster to email to them, but for some reason my google drive wouldn't update. I figured it was my cellular data. The older gentleman left by now so I asked this younger guy, his name is Will (not sure if that's his real name, but we asked him today-our second hellish encounter), if they had wifi and if they did, could I get the password temporarily. He said something like "m...h..." extremely quietly. So I said "Sorry what was that?" He repeated himself "m...h..." but begins to walk away. I turn to my friend and asked her if she heard and she said "I think mhmm?" So now I'm hopeful that I can get the wifi, send my email, get it printed, pay, and get back to work. Will goes into one of the rooms in the back and disappears for a while. He comes out, crosses the room, stands next to a lady and begins chatting with her. I think to myself, perhaps he's getting the password from her? They seem to be having an awfully fun time talking about wifi passwords because they're laughing. Moments pass and he doesn't leave. That's one long wifi password. Getting impatient because I have a job to go back to as well, I called to the same older gentlemen from before and asked if they had wifi. He comes over and hands me the wifi on a post it and I entered it in excitedly. Unfortunately, my google drive still wouldn't update so I had to leave and return. I come back later with the files emailed. There was a blunder because the older gentlemen clicked one someone else's email mistaking it for mine and we literally had a shout out, not angry, but shouting because of this giant room, about why my files weren't 11X17 as I had made sure it was. He FINALLY tells me to come on back and I instantly realize that that WASN'T my file. It was someone else's who just sent in their email after mine. Makes sense. I don't blame him. BUT, perhaps this issue could have been settled within seconds if you actually have your customer there with you as you print it or just open the file? My other file didn't have the right dimensions so I said I'd come again another day. It takes them another long while to print my posters. I get it, they had other jobs on queue. I get my 12 posters and see that they were all cropped off on the bottom, a good 6 inches gone. I tell him this and he looks surprised as if seeing the images and the text half missing on the bottom was suppose to be normal. They reprint it and I'm happy its over. JUMP CUT I had emailed them yesterday with the poster that wasn't able to be printed before due to the wrong size. In my email I typed "11 X 17 posters - 2 copies" but I didn't specify the paper type because I expected to go in and tell them. I didn't expect them to print it beforehand. I get there with my friend and behold WILL comes and shows us the 2 copies. But, they weren't on normal paper like I had printed my previous posters on, they were on nice shiny "poster" paper. I told him I only wanted it on paper paper (lol) and he said that in my email I wrote "poster" so that defaults to shiny expensive $29 a SHEET paper. HOLD UP. 1. My friend who's been to many print shops said that regardless if I had wrote poster, a good print shop ALWAYS MAKES SURE TO CLARIFY OR EVEN ASK. 2. My email said "11 X 17 posters - 2 copies " It didn't say print in POSTER PAPER. It said 11X17 posters, which is what it was. Will looks extremely disappointed and lectures me to make sure I clarify and heads to his computer to "reprint" them. Does printing involve a telephone call? He goes on the phone, chit chats and OBVIOUSLY stalls and stalls. I KNOW there wasn't another queue. HOW IMMATURE. What are you, 5? Even if the mistake was on me, you don't stall like a 5 year old. It wasn't until my friend shouted across to ask how long it would take for Will to get up, stare at his keyboard tenderly. Stared as his KEYBOARD, not even the computer screen, passes his co worker, turns around to make a face AT HIM, and slowly gets the poster. Will NEVER come here again. I ordered 8 photo prints to fit standard 4x6 inch frames for a few mother's day gifts. The photo images were printed as 4x5 and a quarter inches, hence when they were in the frame they had a 3/4 inch gap showing making the standard frame useless for the photo. I returned to the store to either have the photos reprinted to fit the frames or receive a refund for the purchase. The manager refused to do either and basically told "good luck" in resolving my problem. I asked for the owners phone number, was given the number which I called 2 and texted once, have yet to receive a call or response. Just thought this was not the best way to handle an inappropriately printed order and that the response received from the manager regarding resolving the inappropriate order was poor customer service. Honestly, now that I am looking at the other poor customer service Yelp reviews, I wish I had looked at them prior to going to Pasadena Image Printing. I will be going to Wallgreens for my future photo printing needs, they seem to understand the concept of printing photos that will fit in standard frames. read more

Been coming here for years, and will continue to do so as long as I can! First of all, these guys thrive and survive while 2 doors down from a corporate copy center - that speaks volumes to their ability to stay in the game. Second, whenever I typically come here, it's with small orders for basic black and white prints - not big, expensive poster jobs. The employees here always treat me with as much integrity and care as one of their larger clients. Third, I had a rush job the other night and called Joseph what time they closed. He said 6:30 but he could stay open for me. I told him I'd only be doing about 15 bucks worth of copying, but the guy stayed there until 6:45 for me, and also cut the handbills free of charge. They might have some snags here and there, but for what they have, they have been courteous and professional. Please consider giving your business to this independent copy/print shop. read more

I came here for the first time to get a book wire-binded. The staff is friendly and very helpful, and I received service almost immediately. Their turnaround is pretty quick too (about an hour and a half for cutting to size and binding). The reason why I have to dock off a star is because there were some issues with the wire-bind being damaged and bent upon receiving my book, twice. When I pointed these issues out, the owner (? manager?) Joseph was incredibly helpful and re-binded the book two times to make sure I had the best quality. Overall I am very impressed with their service and will willingly come again. Their printers are also more color accurate than Kinko's...so go there for your printing if you need quality prints. read more

Joseph handled the request. Small job. Took in some documents to be laminated. 2 documents to be specific. When returned for completed work, it was "misplaced in the warehouse". Was told that a phone call would be made within the business day regarding status of the job. Did not receive call. 2 weeks later, went into the store, asked what the status is, and at that point the documents were "lost" and it was out of his (Joseph's) hands. He could give a refund for the work requested (50 some dollars). Requested compensation or store credit for the lost documents. Was told that that's not something that he could take care of. Joseph stated "I don't know what the value of 2 pieces of paper is". Stated that he would send an email regarding the case to his manager and that we would be CC'ed. Was not cc'ed in the email - not sure email was even sent. Was given a number to call the manager (Michael) directly. Voice mail left in personal voice mail box of the manager but no reply. Clearly does not value customer's property and when property is lost, does not make things right. Will never go back, and would not recommend anyone to go here especially if you're entrusting this business to handle important documents. I'm sure there are cases of jobs getting done right but when it goes wrong, it really goes wrong and I'm not certain that that's worth the risk of doing business with this place. read more

Had a poster made of a painting (about 22 x 24"). I took the painting into the store in the morning. Later, they emailed me a preliminary version. I then went in and asked if the color could be adjusted, which they easily did. This allowed me to choose the one I preferred. The final result was absolutely gorgeous. read more

Well, I walked in to Pasadena Image Printing today with a set of plans that I needed 2 full size hard copies of. In the past when I went to a printer for copies it would normally be a couple days to have the job completed. After I forwarded the info to PIP, I was at the counter having a casual conversation with Kevin, one of their technicians and was about ask what day I should come back to pick them and he excused himself went back and grabbed both completed sets. Wow. Judge go yourselves but this was a whole lot different than I expected. I will certainly bring more work back. read more

First let me say I have never actually had anything printed by this company. Why you ask? Because I have walked in here not once, not twice but three times wanting to print something and got nothing but rude customer service. The man who appears to be either a manager or owner (I think he is the owner) is the rudest of them all! They seem to not need anyone's business because they don't bother coming to the counter after they see you standing their looking lost for minutes. I asked questions all three times about some stuff I needed printed and they were rude and didn't seem to care. Last week the owner walked away from me after I asked a question and never came back. He looked like he didn't even want to help me. So what did I do? I walked out and walked a few stores down to the FedEx store. Now there I got so much help and awesome customer services. They walk you through all your printing needs and answer all your questions. Save yourself some time and just walk over to the FedEx store. read more

I'd give this place a MINUS 5 STARS if it was allowed.... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Never have I EVER experienced more rude customer service than I did at this place. And it isnt everyone, particularly there is one man with short curly hair and an accent who is literally the WORST person I have ever worked with. Initially I had great customer service when i went in a week prior, but was asked to bring in a different type of file for my print. So when I went back the image was printed, and although looked beautifully done, WAS NOT CROPPED CORRECTLY. When I pointed this out, I was spoken to SO rudely by this man, AS IF I WERE TO BLAME FOR HIS PRINTING MISTAKE!!! At this point I asked him to stop being rude... and he allowed a different staff member to help instead, who stayed quiet regarding the rude behavior, but was actually really helpful. It was a weekend so they were about to close, and even though I needed the picture same day, and was told I would get it same day, the rude man walked up to the other staff member who was helping me, made no eye contact with me, and said "we close at three, this prints monday." When I again, told him he is being unprofessional and unfair to the consumer as it was his mistake, the reply was "JUST FOR THAT, I SAY WHEN THIS GETS PRINTED AND I WILL CALL YOU WHENEVER IT GETS DONE." At THAT point, I asked him to delete my file and told him I will take my business else where. I mean... WTF... ??? Plenty of other printing places around without the unprofessionalism. read more

I am a student doing a lot of graphics and need to print every week for class. I have had the absolute best service over the last two months. I email a PDF at 4pm or even 5pm, call to confirm that they've got it, and it's printed and ready to go by 6pm. I've worked with a really nice lady, not sure what her name is, but she is super helpful and I highly recommend this place! I used to go to FedEx but the service was so bad I actually had to go to class without prints. It is very nice to be able to support a small local business and receive comparable print quality in addition to impeccable customer service. read more

I have been in the advertising business for 40 years. My son needed to print out a pitch book 42 pages so he went to FedX Kinkos in Pasadena. Two days latter we left with 2 printed books both where green tinted and weak color and background all messed up. I can't tell you how frustrated we where a loooong looong story at FEdX over two days. We decided to try Pasadena Image Printing in and out in 15 min....two books cheaper then Fedx and perfect!!!!!!!!!!! This is the way it is done! read more

The service here was quick and exactly as advertised. I came in to have a book binding removed and the pages three hole punched, so that they could fit into a folder. The attendant warned me about the binding being close to the text on some pages, and the fact that some of the words may be cut off. This effect was minimal, but I appreciated him bringing it up before messing with the book. I was out of there in 10 minutes. Highly recommend this service. read more

They took advantage of students who goes to them to do their binding or printing. They lied to be and told me that they have a metal spiro that fits my 13 in book . I cannot review their service as they were not willing to assist us. Me and my fiance went there to inquire about printing items for our wedding. We stood at the counter waiting for assistance for a very long time. There was four employees who ignored us at the counter and never approached us. Well they did walk up to the counter to grab something or type away on the computer, but would avoid eye contact, then rush back to keep talking with one another. As they talked among themselves they would occasionally glance our way to see if we had gone away yet. The man who was at the counter when we came in went into the back office and I figured he must be some type of manager, and he assumed one of his employees would take care of us. But then later another customer came in and when the manager heard the sound of his voice he came out to greet and talk to him, and still avoided us. We did visit the corporate competition next door prior and was feeling they would give us a better deal, and i would prefer working with a local business. read more
