Nope, not at all! My dad is a frequent here as he enjoys fixing up cars and I went with him one day because this place also sells cars and he saw one that he liked driving by. We went the day after a big snow day and were not allowed to go into the yard because of ice, which was actually really thoughtful. The guys there did help answer all of my dads questions about the vehicle and they laid it out to him honestly, telling him what was wrong with the vehicle, the make, the model, the year and an estimate on just how much it would cost to get it in good running order. I know my dad has also picked up spare parts from here and we've benefitted from it by such little things as windshield wipers and I think tires too. Just a quick note about the street it's on: it's a super commercial road so it has a lot of work trucks barreling up and down. At it's worst it has giant potholes and also can be addled with nails that have fallen off the trucks. Be wary and vigilant when driving around here!

I first went to F&S about 15 years ago looking for a deal on some parts. they didn't have what I…read morewas looking for, but in addition to being extremely polite, courteous and helpful, the guys working the desk were hilarious. I'm pretty sure it was the blond ponytail guy, and another guy, but they were ripping on each other so hard, and creatively, I was cracking up just standing there. They were as funny as Howard Stern (at the time, still in his prime), and I told them they should have their own radio show. Fast forward to today, I stopped in to try to junk an old car, and they were still as polite, courteous, and professional as before, only this time they went above and beyond to help me out. We couldn't make a deal, but they did refer me to a colleague who gave me the best price. Who ever is running the show over there is doing a great job, because it's always a pleasure to stop in. Fantastic shop, these guys set the standard of customer service, regardless of industry. Thanks.

He has helped me resolve every mechanical problem with 4 different cars over these years. Because this is a very busy shop, I always try to make an appointment in advance and show up with a printed list of concerns, a completion time request, and a further request that he call before working on anything that is significant in time and cost. I always go through my list with Nick or his son, Kevin. If there are expensive repairs, Nick usually gives me alternatives that meet my budget. Over the 15 years, this approach has never disappointed me. When emergencies arise, I always have AAA tow my car to Nick's for a rapid response that is reasonable in cost. Nick's will have my business as long as I own cars and he is in business.

Small update: I…read morehave had my eye on a Viofo - cam for quite a while. They can be expensive, so I waited for a sale. The particular unit that I purchased has a head unit which captures the road in front of you. It has a indoor unit that captures the cabin of your vehicle and it has a rear camera that mounts on your rear window for the back of your car. This means of course that you have the main unit, but complicates things because you now have to have wires going to two other cameras. As a side note, the indoor camera probably seems like overkill. Usually people that carry passengers like taxes or Uber with get that for safety. But let me tell you another benefit. The camera captures a very wide angle like a fisheye. What does does is and not only allows you to see what's in the cabin but also slightly out the windows. So if you happen to be driving and get sideswiped or even stop by an officer anyone comes to your window, you will be able to capture that as well. What's even better is that this camera will record in multiplex so you can see all your cameras in one footage. Let's say you have an accident and people try to say you were on the phone. With one video file you can see the outside of your car and the inside. You can use footage to prove that you weren't on your phone when the accident occurred. Biscuit also be powerful in court if an officer is accusing you of something. After my purchase online, I bought the camera and a hard wiring kit to venue Sound. I win at 1:00 in the afternoon on a Wednesday without a appointment. I was told I could get done today and they did. From start to finish it probably took about an hour and a half. I am pleased with the fit and finish. My unit is hardwired into my fuse box. The wires leading to the unit are neatly behind my roof headliner. The tech even taped wires together for a neater presentation. Another job well done
