I…read morepaid $1,000 to have my bumpers sprayed with black bed liner on my Ford Raptor and an electric air horn put in. Within a day, the horn was stuck on. I brought it back the next day and was told it was bad relays and they were replaced. A week later, the horns completely fell out. I brought the truck back again and they better attached a new set of horns. Then, almost a year and a half later, I get a flat tire. I insert my key into the rear bumper access to get the spare tire but the key won't turn. I get under the truck and take a look under the bumper and Valley Van sprayed over the lock mechanism for the spare tire access. I added a picture of the underside of the bumper where you can see the black bedliner material covering the locking mechanism. They didn't remove the lock mechanism before they sprayed the bumper. Now, because of their poor workmanship, I was stranded with no means to get my spare tire out and had to get the truck towed. It gets worse. I called and emailed Valley Van. I get a call from Carlos telling me to come the next day, early morning. I'm there at 8AM and the person working there doesn't know anything about what Carlos told me to do. He said Carlos is not in that day. I told him that Carlos told me to come in so why wouldn't he be here or tell someone I'm bringing in my truck? I then tell him the story about how my locking mechanism was oversprayed on the bumper and it left me stranded. This guy doesn't want to take responsibility whatsoever and tries to convince me that my truck has an electronic access to the spare tire. I tell him that it does not and that I have a picture of the oversprayed locking mechanism and, he can go under the car to see it himself. He's full of excuses, still telling me it wasn't them and even went to the point of taking about how he hates spraying bumpers and that they lose money doing this and they get complaints. He then complains about how the bumper might have to be removed and how it's extra work, etc. He then tells me that they don't have room to hold the truck and nobody is there to work on it. I then tell him that Carlos told me to come that day and it would get fixed. He continues to complain and then I tell him that I was stranded because of this and you don't see me complaining. I just want it fixed. He then sarcastically tells me that I just have bad luck and I respond that I don't have bad luck, I chose a bad place to work on my truck, which was Valley Van. Later that day, he calls me to come pick up the truck. I return and see the truck in front of the shop and I look under the bumper and see where they carved the bed lining material out of the locking mechanism from the bumper. I go inside and now there's another man there who tells me that it wasn't their fault that the locking mechanism was stuck and that someone else did it. I tell him that there was bed liner oversprayed from what Valley Van did and nobody else sprayed bedliner on it. I offered to show him the picture and he doesn't want to see it. He then shows me a piece of masking tape they removed from the truck and says that is what was covering the locking mechanism and that it's epoxy and says it the mixing kind. That's not true. It wasn't epoxy, it's masking tape. Anyone can tell it was tape and not epoxy. What happened is that Valley Van covered the lock with masking tape on the inside and they sprayed over the bumper. Then they failed to remove the tape and the liner dried and that is why the locking mechanism was stuck. It was total negligence and poor work on their part. I wasn't looking for anything besides for them to fix their screw up but all I got was a lack of accountability, blame, gaslighting, poor customer service, shoddy workmanship, being lied to and just an overall terrible experience. If you love your vehicle, this is a place I would definitely avoid. They have a nice show room but don't be fooled. Their work is shoddy and they will lie to your face to avoid any sort of accountability. As you can see, a very simple job turned into 3 times I had to return to get the work redone and I received poor customer service every time. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere. Also, after a year, the bumpers that they painted are starting to peel. They didn't even prep the bumpers, they just sprayed them and that's why it's peeling now. I can see the old paint as the liner peels away. Avoid Valley Van, it's just bad work and shoddy craftsmanship all around.

I went into Wantagh Mazda looking to purchase a new/used vehicle. My current car was 15 years old…read moreand having issues that made it immediately unreliable. David Peter Chiari at Wantagh Mazda spent the time to see what I was interested in and showed me the available cars. I loved the 2026 Mazda cx-50 hybrid. While looking on the lot David showed me a 2025 one. I loved it. The brand new 2025 was well within my budget even with the premium trim. Then I spoke to Philip Puleo the sales manager regarding pricing. Phil gave me the lowest out the door price within the first 5 minutes of talking to him. There was 0 back and forth, 0 games, 0 frustration. I did visit other dealerships in the area and what a mistake that was. I wasn't aware how lucky I was with how I was treated at Mazda. I ended up going back to Mazda, thanked both David and Peter endlessly and walked out with my beautiful new car. If I could rate them 10 stars I would. The process was easy, honest and I couldn't be happier.

This was my first time buying a new car and someone recommended Wantagh Mazda. I go in and Joe greeted me. We sat down talked price and I left. At no point did Joe harass me by calling all the time or emailing me or anything like that. I told him I would be in contact with him and he agreed. We kept communication back and forth and showed him other prices that other dealers were giving me. He managed to get the price down to what I wanted for the car I wanted, and 2 days later I was driving out with my brand new Mazda. Now here is what makes them go above and beyond. A few days later, Phil the manager calls me asking me to come into the showroom because he managed to get me an even BETTER deal on the financing than the great one I already had. Now I know that no other dealership would do this for a customer. This is why I know hands down they are the best Mazda Dealership there is. I will definitely be recommending them to my friends and family, and would definitely consider purchasing another car in the future from them. (By the way, definitely stick around to have a conversation with Kenny the Finance Manager if you want to have a good laugh!)

1-Star Review…read more Extremely disappointing experience -- think twice before working here or trusting this shop with your vehicle. I'm writing this as a former employee who genuinely came to this shop ready to work hard and do my job. I'm a husband and father who was working to provide for my family, and I always tried to keep God first, treat people with respect, and give customers the best service I could. I showed up early, worked hard, and made sure customers were getting in and out. I wasn't hired to be somebody's personal helper or to simply agree with everything another employee said. I was hired as a mechanic, and I take pride in my work. Unfortunately, one employee, Manny, seemed to have an issue with me from the beginning. I felt like I was constantly being treated disrespectfully and expected to act like a yes-man instead of being allowed to do my job as a technician. If I disagreed with something or had a different opinion, it wasn't welcomed. What really disappointed me was management's response. Rather than hearing both sides and recognizing the work I was doing, my boss chose to take Manny's side and let me go. I actually have the text messages from my former boss confirming that Manny told him I wasn't right for what he was looking for and that he was letting me go. That's what makes this experience so frustrating. I wasn't fired because I didn't want to work. I was working. I wasn't fired because I didn't care about customers. I cared about them. I was fired because I wasn't willing to let another employee push me around or treat me like a dog. As far as my experience with Manny as a technician, I also witnessed things that concerned me. There were situations where sensors were unplugged and parts were being changed without what I considered proper diagnosis first. In my opinion, that's how customers end up paying for parts they may not have needed. A good mechanic should diagnose the problem, test the system, and then replace what's actually defective--not just throw parts at a problem. Manny also seemed unwilling to listen to another technician's opinion. Everything had to be done his way, and shortcuts seemed more important than proper diagnosis. I know the mechanic I am. I know how hard I worked. And I know the way I treated customers. Losing this job isn't what bothers me most. What bothers me is seeing a hardworking husband and father who was trying to provide for his family get thrown away because management would rather keep one employee happy than recognize another employee's hard work. I wish the owner and the shop the best, but my experience taught me that being a hardworking, respectful employee doesn't mean much if management has already chosen sides. Customers deserve proper diagnosis. Employees deserve respect. And neither should have to kiss anyone's ass to get it. 1/5 -- I would not recommend working here based on my experience, and I personally would think twice before trusting my vehicle to a shop where this is how things are handled.

I live down the street so I walked up. The guy at the front desk moved beyond slow and couldn't even recommend anyone locally for a tow truck. He didn't even know what a tow truck was and he seemed lost. I know, Night Shift guys pumping gas may not know who to recommend. I got a tow after hitting google and had the car dropped off. Spoke to the owner the following day at 7. Explain the situation with my car with the ABS lights. He told me he'll look at it at some point during the day. That I just gotta give him time cause he's jammed up and to call in the afternoon to see if they had a chance to check it out. I called at 1 o'clock and a lady answer the phone told me they were just about to put the car into the bay to work on and call back in about an hour. I call back in an hour. The owner picks up and start screaming at me like a lunatic. I've never been spoken to such a way in all my years working customer service and dealing with the public; he was screaming at me so much my boss could hear him over the phone and we were looking at each other horrified. Like I told him I understand you jammed up I was just told by the young lady you were bringing into the bay in an hour ago and call and see if you figure out what the issue was. I can't get off the phone. He would not let me get off the phone screaming at me for over a five minutes and how they still did it look at the issue on the car yet. I called him back later in the day as I'm about to leave work at 4 and I told him I just need to know if you have an idea what the issue is and if I have to make arrangements for the following day for a ride; and again screaming at me like a wild lunatic to only call me a half an hour later and they fixed the car quoted me 300 when I got there it went up to 500 and change. And again he kept yelling at me that I wasn't giving them time and how dare I call. I refuse to do business with them again and I do not recommend them to anyone there is no reason to speak to a human being that way to carry on like a psychopath and as it is, I gotta take the car now to another mechanic this morning cause the brakes aren't working after what they did. Very poor customer service attitude, and I am incredibly angry and disappointed in the way I was treated and spoken to and that the amount of money I spent I gotta still take my car to another Mechanic. If I could get this place a negative star I absolutely would. I would never do business with him again. I won't even get gas with them again. I've never dealt with such horrible customer service.
