Partridge well drilling of Jax Florida came out to look at my well and fix issue of no water. They pulled the cap up and pipe was not connected to well head cap, it had broken free and fell into well. I appreciate them finding this out for me because I didn't know anything about wells. They tried for around 3 hrs to retrieve fallen pipe so that new pipe could go down well in it's place. They were unsuccessful but still charged me for their time x 2 persons, even though 1 man talked on phone some of the time. My bill: $780. They told me next step was to dig new well at around $5000. Front desk told me that none of my initial 780 paid would go towards new well bill. I had to ask because I am close to poverty level. I bought a pipe retrieval gadget online, built a temporary 10ft tall stand for my boat trailer winch and hooked that pipe 40plus feet down on my first try and brought it up with my granddaughter cranking up on the winch and me clamping pipe and cutting then reattaching device. They should have been able to grab the thing and pull it up - if I could with no experience especially when they bill at $125/hr each person. That's like master level wages. read more

We started having issues with our well and called Partridge Well Drilling. In fact, over July 4th, we didn't have water at all and they came out on the holiday and got us back up and running. The had drilled the original well, so they knew everything about the well. It was 17 years old and we needed a new one drilled. To just sum up our experience with them? FANTASTIC! I live in St. Augustine and had about 1 foot of water inside my home as a result of Hurricane Matthew. My artesian well was impacted as a result of the storm and was bubbling water from the ground into my yard as well as my neighbors at an alarming rate. It was an emergency. There were not any well service company's in St. Augustine operating during this time because the city was so torn up. I called Partridge Well to come out to take a look. The service man came out and put a temporary plunger in the well to stop the flow of water. All told, that took him about 10 minutes to do - if that. HE THEN CHARGED ME $540.00 FOR THIS. He didn't even 'fix' the problem since he didn't have the equipment to do so. Rather, my uncle and his work partner had what was needed to fix the leaking well. It is my recommendation to not do business with this company. They knew I was in a tough spot, and needed my well fixed. They knew no other well service company could come out to fix the problem. If I could give them zero stars I would. They came out at the request of my realtor to find a well head for a home sale. They gave us a quote for one man and sent two before we knew it, charging us double the quoted amount. They also left the yard with holes you could put your foot into and moves walking stones along the house, putting them back with a huge sag in the middle. Not surprisingly, their technicians were already booked. The woman I spoke to said they needed to serve their established customers first--what a great attitude to hear!--but was very sympathetic. AMAZING Help via a phone call!! Thank you Thank you!! Husband called this Company, out of the blue, it came up on our Google search for "troubleshooting well issues" ... we are in Ramona, CA (San Diego, CA) and we are 100% on well water, spring quality, and a week ago, husband changed the storage bladder tank and then felt that he should go ahead and replace the pressure switch "thingy" (sorry I don't have the proper item language down) and we kept getting a pulsing/hammering pressure thru our lines as we turned on the water at sink, flushed toilet...yadda yadda. Did we get a defective pressure switch? Husband called this company ... they immediately pu the phone and then directed him to a knowledgeable guy who answer his question, telling husband to set the pressure at 25 not at the 45-50 that he had set it to. Partridge installed a 1 HP Sta-Rite Shallow Well Pump for me in about 1 hour. They took out the old one, put a new pressure gauge on, a new brass back-flow valve and a new electrical elbow that feeds the pressure switch. They did nice work for me. read more
