Parted is one of many claw machine places that have sprung up in the city in the past couple of years. I've been to Partea a couple of times as well as to other claw machine places in the city. Parted has a good selection of machines and prizes to choose from. They seem to have different prizes every time I'm here. The staff is friendly and will try to make you have a positive experience especially if you're struggling with the machines. I've yet to try the food so I can't quite attest to that but it smells tasty from what I can glean. read more

My nine-year-old loves claw games so we had to go inside when we walked by it. Compared to other ones we went to, this one wasn't as good. Very few of the games had good prizes. It was $10 for 10 coins, which were only good for a few games. The claws are weak so it feels hard to get the prizes. I'd avoid this place. read more

This spot has a boba bar up front and a whole section of claw machines in the back. The boba was solid! Drinks were tasty and the tapioca balls were perfectly chewy. I dropped about $250 and didn't end up winning anything, but honestly, I don't think the games are rigged, you just have to be super precise. The only downside is that some machines take 8 tokens per play, so your credits disappear fast. I also wasn't a fan of their token deals for example, if you spend $100, you only get 10 bonus tokens, which feels low compared to other arcades that give you more for spending big. That said, it's still a fun, chill place to hang out, sip boba, and test your luck on the claw machines. Concept is awesome, and the staff is really friendly! Was excited to come and try the claw machines, but also wanted to try their bubble tea. The machine to order food and drinks was really slow, and kept rejecting our order. After a third attempt and almost making it through the transaction, it declined my credit card. Decided not to order a drink. Had no problem using the same card to get tokens for the claw machines though. Did the 20 tokens for $20. There were small claw machines for two tokens - I won two keychains out of those. They were cheaper trinkets, nonetheless still fun. There were vending machines with guaranteed prizes for 7-8 tokens, and a few larger claw machines. The environment itself is really cool, with all of the claw machines having neon lights. This place is a lot of fun, especially if you win something on the claw machine. It's not cheap though. It comes out to 5-8 coins for a chance to grab Labubus. Each coin is $1. Most times you get nothing, so it's just the fun of playing with the claw machine. Once in a while, you get something after spending quite a bit on the coins and feeling disappointed, but sometimes you just get really lucky. The staff will help adjust the item you are trying to grab if you ask them to. It just gives a better shot at it because it's not in an odd position that the claws can't grab. They have food but I don't usually eat there. I just go there to play. They also have the surprise boxes in the vending machines. The prize can be discount on the food. I will say the claw machines are very pricy ($10 for 10 tokens and all games are 2 - 4 tokens), and the claws are very sensitive, so you're unlikely to get many wins. I really don't like to talk badly about a small business but I just want to warn others that the claw machines are totally rigged not in your favor. We spent 50 dollars, picked up something on every turn and it would just drop it. It feels like a total scam. Not only will you not win anything, they barely have functioning AC so you will be uncomfortably hot the whole time. Don't worry though, you won't be there long because it only takes three minutes to burn through your tokens. The only upside is the staff is super friendly. I don't know if it's just me but I feel like the claw machines have gotten more difficult to play and the claw itself is looser compared to when I was here on grand opening day from last year. They sell fried chicken sandwiches, fruit teas, fries, popcorn chicken, and other snacks on the menu. I didn't buy anything to eat or drink as I'd just had dinner right across the street. I came directly for the plushies in claw machines. Ambiance wise is supposed to resemble the night markets in Taiwan with the various neon-colored LED lights attracting people to go inside, play the claw machines and have the chance of winning and bringing your favorite stuffed animal home. The LED lights can make very instaworthy photo opps for night photography. There're two token exchange kiosks at two separate corners of the arcade place. I didn't like how they would require customers to put in the exact change/money amount, otherwise you'll NOT be able to get your change back. So, please BEWARE & read all the instructions carefully before taking any action/putting in any money into the machine!!!!! Anyway, most of these claw machines require 2 tokens per play (equivalent to $2) for the smaller and medium sized plushies. The bigger plushies require you to put in 3 tokens per play (equivalent to $3). For the bigger plushies like my favorite Totoro, you're supposed to grab the ball in the middle, bring it over and drop it into the slot with the claw. Call the staff over to give them the ball and choose the prize/plushie that you want. You think it's an easy process right?!? Nope. The hardest thing, the ball would keep hitting the roof and bouncing back against the hard plastic every time the claw would reach up to the top. Then, the claw slips open when it's almost fallen in. Luckily, the nice and friendly staff would offer to rearrange the smaller and medium sized plushies when they see that you're having a hard time grabbing it. Or you can request/ask them during the struggle of fishing it out. Nevertheless, I've failed at that game numerous times over and over again. Still grateful for staff's attempted help and tips. For the hand-sized plushies in the smaller claw machines, I tend to think that the claw in there had gotten looser than I'd remembered to be in the past. The claw kept slipping while trying to aim and grab the plush at the body but ended up failing miserably when the claw had opened up at the last minute. After several failed attempts, the staff came over to stack up the small Totoros and moved one of them very close to the prize slot hole. Therefore, you would only need to swing and knock the claw against the side of the targeted plush very gently at your next turn and it shall tumble & fall into your possession. Another key and the most important part, just as the claw tries to grab your prize, you should ideally press the same claw button again in order to securely grab the toy and hold it in place when it goes up in the air. It would even have these tips plastered everywhere on the side of these claw machines. Besides having a little luck on your side, the outcome would also depend on your skills/techniques as in how well you can aim the claw at a certain angle and how tight you can have the claw secure the toy without losing its grip. Overall, your wallet would definitely agree with you that the arcade is indeed a dangerous and addicting place for both adults and kids alike. Alas, you might even end up spending the entire day here if you keep on exchanging your money for tokens. Lastly, it is very important to understand and have enough self control limiting yourself on how much money you actually plan on spending. After all, it's too easy and too fast to lose $20 in a matter of 5 minutes. read more

We ordered: Mango Pomelo Slush (4/5), Grapefruit Green Tea (4.5/5), Strawberry Green Tea (2/5), (Hot) Whipped Creme Brulee Oolong Milk Tea (2.79/5), Watermelon and Passionfruit Green Tea, Whipped Sesame Milk Green Tea with Boba (4.1/5) That being said, I enjoyed my drink a lot more than I thought I would. They have this 'whipped' series that they seem to specialize in, so I went with the whipped sesame milk green tea. Sesame drinks are always a hit or miss for me because sometimes it's too strong, too grainy, too milky, who knows. The whipped sesame part mixed super thoroughly with the rest of the drink and made it so that the entire drink was thicker than a usual milk tea but also not as thick as a milkshake so it was just a new consistency of bubble tea that I have never had before and I am always down for a new experience. I have been so excited to try this place out! Partea NYC has two locations in Flushing & Union Square, but we went to the one in Union Square as it was closer to us. What seems like your typical boba spot from the outside instantly whisks you away to a Taiwanese night market the moment you step inside. There's beautiful neon signage everywhere you look which of course gets you pumped to spend some money on tokens for the claw machines! Near the entrance are some stools and an eating area if you decide you want to fuel up first. Please make sure you eat or drink whatever you order here first before venturing into the arcade area. My husband and I already ate dinner before coming here so we each order the Watermelon Passion Fruit Tea & the Sparkling Strawberry Yakult. Both were very light and refreshing! I especially loved the added slight fizz from my sparkling drink! My husband noted that the boba wasn't as flavorful as he's used to but he still loved the drink regardless! Now on to the arcade! There are a couple of machines in the area where you can buy tokens for their machines either with cash or credit card (QR Code accessible). Be sure to grab a container to hold your tokens in so you're not digging in your pockets or using one hand to hold everything at once. Super cute and fun place worth stopping in for a quick snack and game ! Space: The space is quite a bit smaller than we expected. That being said, it's awesome how many crane game stations they have fit in there ! However, most of the space is taken up by the machines so the eating area is a bit limited unfortunately. We did wait to order food because there was no seating at first Food ordering: I love that they have 2 self service machines as well as a counter ordering system. This helps flow and let's you place an order without much wait. Seating: There's very limited seating and it's all bar seating against the wall or the front window. That being said, the main attraction is the game area so I understand the seating limitation. For me personally, it was a bit uncomfortable because of how small the bar was too. Food/drink: We chose the box meal option which comes with a little plush and honestly it's the way to go! The food is delicious and filling ! Same with the teas ! NOW TO THE IMPORTANT PART! There's so many machines ! You do have to get tokens to play but there are 2 token exchange machines to use. A lot of the machines that you just put token in & turn the know to get a prize were out of stock. This was a bit disappointing because they took up a whole wall and only a handful of them were usable. For the octane machines - there's a wide variety to choose from! From small plushies to giant ones ! I went for a smaller one with pokemon and it took me 2-3 tries to get it, so they definitely can be won! The tokens of the store are reasonably priced, and the staff are very knowledgeable about the games and can give tips about where to grab the prizes. We spent around $20 and got 3 prizes from the machine, with each play being around $2. The prize selection is good, with both small prizes, gashapons, and larger prizes being available, with a wide selection of brands such as Pokemon, Sanrio, and more. This clawcade uses skill-based luck, rather than a payout system seen at bigger brands. However, the only reason this is knocked down 2 stars is that the prizes are obviously fake. I won a MyMelody Sanrio plush, and it says "MgMelody" on my plush. The prizes are pretty good still, but I would've expected better quality control. read more

The food and drinks here are good. My favorite so far is probably the fried chicken, though most of their stuff in the menu also tastes great in my opinion. They do have an arcade that you can play with, and also gatcha machines too. I usually do the gatcha machines though. I've never played the claw machines, so I don't have much to say about that. Super fun spot that reminds you of Japan's UFO claw machine shops! The dolls they have were authentic and not the bootleg versions. Love the bright neon lights, but wish the AC was stronger (super hot inside the shop). There were tons of claw machines which I appreciated. The staff was also very nice & would assist you right away. We spent $20 & was able to get 2 dolls. There were many gashapon machines in the front area, but a majority were gone.
