It showed a variety of games including the tennis ones, which is why I went to that dump in the first place. I get there, the young man in the front breaks down the place and the various memberships they offer. I should've peeped that something was amiss because the dude didn't know any of the games that they had! I know, I know...I should've just got the 20.00 one time charge, shit, better than the 30.00 membership that I was foolish enough to get (I swear that website had me gassed)! I was standing there like what if I like it and now I'll have to spend 20 plus an eventual 30. Fuck, ay dios mio, bloodclot!!! Okay, I checked out the first and second levels. Most of the gaming systems have issues: and the remotes are barely functional! Some consoles are not fully configured, and several are not logged into accounts, making proper gameplay impossible. The damn bartender is the one who is supposed to show you how to play the game. He didn't even know what to do and gave a lame ass sorry! The foosball table is entirely unusable, and the pool table is shaky and not steady. The atmosphere is just as bad. The absence of music creates a dull and lifeless atmosphere in the space. The staff appear to be entirely disengaged and unhelpful. I cancelled that damn membership with the quickness and made that boy show me the cancelled part on his screen. Fucking bye forever! The foosball table is completely broken, and the pool table is wobbly and unstable. The atmosphere is just as bad. There's no music playing, which makes the entire place feel dull and lifeless. The employees seem completely uninterested and not helpful at all -- whether it's empty or packed, the service and vibe don't get any better. When it's crowded, it's even worse because there's barely any space to move around or enjoy yourself. Bottom line: I won't be coming back. Went here for a show that was happening in the basement/ speakeasy of the venue on Saturday night. This place looks pretty good if I was into gaming and stuff. The vibe and decor is there. Service lacked a little, as there was only 1 bartender and the drink I had tasted good but was on the weak side. So much so that my next drink was a mocktail. What I like about Coexist Gaming is that on an early Saturday afternoon, the place isn't packed. Later into the afternoon, the place slowly begins to fill up. The gaming stations conveniently have headphones, keyboards, and mouses for you with Steam pre-downloaded. One thing to note is that to borrow you headphones, you have to hand over a card at the front, which you get back once you return the headphones. Connecting the headphones to audio inputs/exports might take some troubleshooting with some computers. The ticket prices are a steal. You're greeted with a friendly face at the door, and they're helpful when answering any questions. read more

This place is a BLAST, and has so many things to do! There is almost every game console you can imagine here, including multiple PS5s and Xbox One and Series X, gaming PCs, and retro consoles. Coexist also has a racing simulator, board and card games, karaoke, pool and foosball tables, plus a bar for drinks and a few food options. While there are some things that could use repair -- one of the two Wii controllers is broken, and the pool cues all have damaged tips -- the venue is in pretty good shape for the wear-and-tear it must get from the amount of different people who use the facilities. Our group came on a Friday night and stayed for five hours -- we enjoyed the whole time and felt like we could come back and still have more things to enjoy. I'd return in a heartbeat! read more

Such a fun place to hang. Marquis greeted us and was such a kind employee. They have n64, GameCube, switch, wii, cards, Jenga, SNES. Lots of fun stuff for hours of entertainment. I love playing the pool table. Karaoke was a hoot and very communal. You can find your niche here. A couple of things were faulty like the Wii and switch and Xbox live gameplay. I really hate leaving one star reviews but went here for a friends birthday with friends that came to visit from other states and after a nice dinner hoping to continue the fun since most of us are gamers we went to Coexist. Ashley P's review is pretty spot on to our experience. Most of the equipment is barely functional or broken and it's pretty difficult to actually get through to a fun co op experience with friends here. My SPOT!!! Didn't realize they finally had a Yelp page, so now I can SING THEIR PRAISES. :D I consider myself a Coexist OG. I became a member back when they had the first game house out in the Brooklyn townhouse, and I'd trek all the way out there just for their Smash tourneys (not to participate, but to cheer my friend on) and monthly parties. And then they moved to a 2nd Game House. And THEN came the Times Square location outta nowhere. I was like NO WAY, this best-kept secret is going big. First of all, I LOVE that this place is woman-owned, and the owner Jaye is the most beautiful, bubbly, kind soul. Second, while this place has day passes, party packages, all that, I'm here to rep the membership. Because you basically get all access to everything, all the events they throw, you can just stroll right in, a free drink with every visit, AND you get to bring a plus 1 each time. Another thing about this place is VIBES. ALL the staff are super friendly and sometimes they'll even join you in the gaming. And I have yet to have a bad encounter with any other visitor, or encounter someone with an attitude; everyone's literally here to simply coexist with our shared hobbies. You would think this would be difficult in NYC, right off Times Square, but you can literally ask anyone to hop on a game with you or to join in with them. I have never encountered any riff-raff in the YEARS I've been going. Also, everything has always been clean, even the bathroom, and no sticky controllers or anything like that. Now, vibes aside, I'm surprised that anyone can say they have a limited selection of games, but this place isn't like a Barcade or Dave & Busters where you're going to find a bunch of arcade stations. Emulators are the focus here, from the NES all the way up to the latest consoles, and THAT'S a plus for me, because that's much harder to find in a lounge-like setting. You'll find a couple of cabinets like Pacman and Marvel vs Capcom, but if you're looking for nostalgia and interested in reliving the games of your childhood that you played in your living room, you WILL find them here. Duck Hunt. Super Mario Bros. MarioKart 64. Wii Sports. I hopped on Croc once on a Playstation mini. I was awesomely humbled trying my hand at SNES The Lion King now as an adult. I recently discovered the existence of Tetris Attack and am still on a mission to beat it here. On my last visit, I raced it out in Sonic Adventure II Battle. And then of course, you have your PC and Switch setups and more modern stuff upstairs, with a pool table. The room all the way in the back of the first level, with the Biggie art and the beanbag chairs is probably everyone's secret favorite, a chill and quiet rest station with board games and sweet decor. Drinks are exactly how much you'd expect them to cost at a location like this, but they're tasty and strong. Food could be stepped up a notch (I'm still waiting on wings to finally debut!); I hope they'll return to the former glory pre-Times-Square-location tastiness. And the staff say they will be bringing back Smash tourneys soon, and that always draws some crowds and heavy hitters. This place is disappointing and gross. Lots of the games are not working and the furniture is broken . It's hot and it smells. The monitors are super cheap, laggy, and pixelated. This place is heading for the junk yard. I hate to be so hard on a place but I wanted my money back almost as soon as I walked in. My friends and I used to frequent this space, and loved every bit of it, however it is a shadow of it's former self in comparison to what is was in its previous location. Almost every console is barely playable, the WiFi is so horrendous that I could barely do anything on my phone, let alone play a game online. The board games and tables such as the pool and foosball table are very poorly maintained. The only enjoyable experience here was the service and high energy from the staff, namely the karaoke host and bartender, but out of the 3 times I've tried to enjoy the space, there was almost a completely different group of staff, which leads me to believe that there must be an issue with leadership. The person in charge of booking was also very rude to my mother when she tried to book an event for her birthday, and to top all of this off, they are very unclear about their opening and closing time. on social media it says that they are closed for renovations, but I was lucky to catch them open recently, only to see that the space looks exactly the same way. I was hoping that they would at least improve the WiFi... I tried to go yesterday since google said they are open on Fridays now but they were still closed!!! I always enjoyed the connections that I am able to make here with other gamers, but I can't help but feel like I get scammed every time i come here, though I suppose that's my fault for thinking it was ever going to be what it once was. It's a cool place to meet other gamers but that is the only thing that this lounge has going for it. And to think they had the nerve to offer me a free shot for a good review. I have come here many times with friends on the weekend and have always had a great time. You can play just about any game ranging from the older Nintendo games to the most recent on ps5. They have a newly added PC section upstairs where you can play a lot of PC games. They even have arcade cabinets! Don't see a game you want to play, ask the staff and they can get it for you! Want to play a board game or card game, they have it! Want to sing Karaoke with your friends, they have a room in the back for it. All for 20-25$ for the night. They even have tournaments that run throughout the week and special events for members that cover games, finance, coding, etc. I think the monthly member ship is somewhere between 30 and 40 dollars which pays for itself after the second visit.
