They also replaced my old humidifier with a new AprilAire model. The installers were on time, knowledgeable, and courteous. Would I use them again? Yes. My 1998 gas furnace finally gave out, resulting in the room temperature on the main floor and basement of 61 degrees, while the outside temperature hovered in the high 30s. The humidifier was out of commission as well. I called Parrish Services on a Monday (President's Day 2024). Technician Jason arrived at my door the next day, Tuesday, to thoroughly diagnose the problems. He recommended a furnace by Trane and humidifier by Airplane. Melvin and his assistant arrived 2 days later. Within a few hours, my home was warm and toasty again. Prior to the technicians' arrival, I received emails from Parrish Services containing info and pictures of the technicians who were on the way. Everyone arrived on time, wore shoe protectors, and were very knowledgeable and courteous. The customer service with the back-office was highly professional and engaging. The value is in the eye of the customer. From my perspective, Parrish Services represents the best value when it comes to HVAC repair. I would recommended Parrish Services in a heartbeat. read more

The technician was on time, but had forgotten his tape measure, then didn't use mine but instead went all the way down to his vehicle to get his. That was a bit of a waste of time, but more disappointing was that he didn't actually write down the measurements, so I had to measure it for him the following day and send him the measurements in order for him to complete the quote. Then they kept texting asking me to give them my phone number, even though they obviously had it since they were texting me. It got really bad after that, however. See, I was given the name of this company by someone in my condominium who has an identical unit to mine and had the exact work done I was looking for. She paid $7,800 for her work last fall. The quote I got (again... identical in every way regarding the equipment and installation) was for $4,000 more than what she paid. When I asked him for the reason for this discrepancy, he talked around, trying to imply it was comparison with another company and his price was higher because of his company's better quality work. When I said I was upset with this explanation, a woman called from the company and tried to persuade me the reason for the apparent price difference was that my friend at the condo had lied to me about the price she got (hmmm... gosh... who's got something to gain from lying here, someone who owns a condo next to me, or a company trying to make a lot of money off of me...??). This is just a typical racket, where inflated quotes are used to try to fleece unsuspecting customers. Buyer beware... these people will screw you over, no scruples or morals to be seen. read more

He truly is an expert as he took the time to fully analyze the problems. He was then meticulously searched for, identified and corrected each of the problems. We purchased a plumbing maintenance plan from Parish and had them come out for a routine maintenance inspection at our Chantilly home. Joe was our technician, and he was fantastic. He was prompt, courteous and informative. We appreciate that Parrish technicians always wear shoe coverings prior to coming into the home. Joe labeled all of the various valves (shut off, hose bib) for us which was a nice touch. He inspected all of our plumbing systems and flushed our water heater. He educated us on how our plumbing systems worked, and took the time to walk through everything with us and answer all our questions. We previously had Parrish come out to do various other plumbing jobs (toilet replacement, sink replacement, etc.) and all of the technicians were great, but wanted to give a special shout out to Joe. Joe P arrived on time, in uniform with face mask and shoe coverings. A home inspector (sold my condo) said my AC unit had water pooling (dry as a bone) and there was mold (on some wires). $106, but I got an appointment, an honest diagnosis and told the buyers I'm not fixing anything (as it's not broken). Install backflow preventer (if not built in). Install new audible overflow alarm. Install rubber vibration couplings when needed. Clean out or replace container. Replace or restore cover. Flush out all drains and pumps. Flush and treat area with citrus solve or other cleaners. Then they quoted a ridiculous price to make a whole new project and still can't guarantee that they are competent enough to finish the task. Ironic! After 13 years of having my services done by parrish have decided to no longer do business with them Two or three years ago when the credit card I had on file expired, I had to call them to make arrangements for my annual service. Then again last year the same thing. Each of the last two years I renewed they provided one of the services, and never contacted me to schedule the other. Today when I emailed ask about my service again, the sales rep or customer service agent had enough time to email me five times inside of two hours but at no point did they email me or call me or mail me an invoice or do anything to keep my business I bought my furnace through parish as well as my air-conditioning. When they actually do come they do our appointments and are very professional, but why should I have to chase them down. I've used Parrish twice in the past. Once for a contract maintenance appointment and once for routine maintenance on the same generator this past fall when the contract that came with the sale of the property ended. During the fall maintenance the lead tech was training a new tech (Joe). Both previous appointments went well with the more experienced tech. 2/27/22 I call Parrish and make an appointment. During the call I was very specific as to what I needed done. Let them know the generac was having issues starting right away (Overcrank error) and starting rough. I let Parrish know that I had already changed out all the usual suspects (Oil, oil filter, air filter, battery and spark plugs) I also told Parrish that I specifically wanted their company to check the valve clearances because this is also known to be one of the causes of the "Overcrank error". The appointment day comes and I am sent Joe, the person being trained a few months prior. First thing I ask was his experience level with my generator to which he stated he had no experience with Generac or my specific model. I was already not thrilled with that answer. Joe starts up the generator and immediately tells me that it did not sound that way the last time he was at my property. Joe must have a impeccable memory. This statement was and is a lie. SInce I have owned this property with this generac generator it always makes that noise when it starts. Anyhow, I ask Joe if he is going to check the valve clearance. He replies that he is not going to because in his vast experience "sarcasm", (he already admitted to have no experience with my Generac) he only checks valve clearance if the engine backfires. Instead Joe wants to do a diagnostic. If you have experience with HVAC one stop shop companies like Parrish, you know they love doing diagnostics. It's a money maker. They prod a few contact points, usually come up with nothing and charge you a lot nothing. Little labor for a lot of money. This is exactly what happened for the exception that as my wife shows up and has a quick word with me I take my eyes off Joe for a minute. In that minute Joe says he found the issue. According to his diagnostic tool my stepping motor was bad. I then go to look over Joes shoulder to see the readout on the diagnostic tool and Joe quickly does the test again and somehow this time the tool indicates the motor is fine and Joe can not find any further issues with his diagnostic scam, I mean scan. After futsing with a few more things Joe starts messing with the propane regulator. He claims that if improperly adjusted that regulator can be the cause. What was interesting about this adjustment was that Joe, again in all his vast experience (sarcasm), was making this adjustment without the necessary and proper fuel pressure equipment attached to the generator. So how exactly does Joe know if the pressure was correct?? No clue. His method was to keep messing with the regulator adjustment screw and turning the generator ON and OFF rapidly. After Joe was finished with this nonsense Joe says one of the sparkplugs was not tightened fully and maybe that was also the cause. He tightens the sparkplug and turns the generator on. The generator turns on a little bit quicker but not before backfiring. Even so Joe declares victory. Now everyone that owns a generator knows that even the ones that start up rough will start up quicker and better if you have already warmed the engine up a few times. Regardless Joe feels the job was done. Before he gets to what I owe him, I ask one more time if he is going to check the valve clearance. He says with a straight face that he could do that but it would cost me another $230. Guess the inflated $390 he charged me for the diagnostic would not cover that. He didn't stop there. Now he wants to upsell me on a overpriced/useless winter maintenance kit and yearly contract. Unbelievable! Never again Parrish! Now I have to find a reputable company to check the fuel pressure Joe messed with and the valve clearance Joe could not be bothered with. read more

Years ago Parrish replaced a water heater and put the expansion tank on the hot side instead of the cold side (basically it has zero value on this side) in my fiancee's home. We had a leak and a REAL plumber noted that the water heater expansion tank and associated plumbing was done incorrectly and has no value. My fiancee called Parrish who wanted additional money to fix their own incorrect installation. I understand an honest mistake, or even a relatively inexperienced plumber but I really dislike dishonest businesses that will not fix their own shoddy work. We have been customers of Parrish for years. New HVAC systems, new hot water heater, and numerous smaller requirements. We have also had an HVAC and plumbing service contracts for numerous years. Now I am tired of all the issues. The latest was an unrequested cancellation of our HVAC services contract. When I contacted Parrish about scheduling our annual service I was told that the contract had been cancelled, but Parrish could not (would not?) tell me why. Restarted the contract simply to get the service completed. Yesterday evening I discovered that our disposal was leaking. This morning I called Parrish and confirmed that they, indeed, were qualified to install/replace disposals. I requested that someone call me with a price and schedule quote. I was assured that my request would be sent to the technician and that a return call would occur. That was at 0900 this morning. It is not 1800 and I have heard nothing. The issue is moot since I did my own research on quality disposals, went to Home Depot, purchased a new one, and did the install myself. Maybe I should hire myself out to Parrish. We will be looking for a replacement firm. read more

I hope we just had a bad tech and others have good experiences with the company. We had a tech come out to give us a second opinion when we needed a new pressure relief valve installed. He was nice and was prompt. But his estimate was over double another company. In addition, as soon as he saw the utility room, he said we needed a new hot water heater- which he was not even there to address. We questioned it and asked for an estimate without the HWH. No idea why he would have said that- the HWH is less than 7 years old and still under warrantee. The company we decided to go with thought it was ridiculous and classic for a place working on commission. The tech added that his price was good for 24 hours and then would go up- it was all way too sketch and is not anyone I would ever have work on my house. read more

Would love to be able to give 0 stars. I started working with Parrish in regards to a hot water heater issue in which they came out three times, with a fairly good experience. No issues were ever resolved but they were professional enough. On 10/5 they came back to replace a part in the water heater and work on all the faucets in the house. Upon the technicians leaving, as one was being trained .... I noticed the hot water heater was not put back together .... There was a mess of water left in each bathroom. And the kitchen sink faucet no longer had the spray function working. They could not get the restrictor out of the fixture ... broke the faucet .... replaced the fixture and walked out. Clearly excellent training was being provided here. I called Parrish to inform them of the broken faucet and lack of professionalism on 5 separate occasions since the 5th. At first i was told that the technician would call me back and walk me through how to fix the sink faucet. The next day the receptionist who answered the phone said she would submit a request for a manager to call me, which could take up to three days. I waited another two days, called back to check on the status of the manager calling me, and was told my request was cancelled because there was a misunderstanding on how to move forward, where i advised again that the sink is still broken and needs to be fixed. Called back again and was told that Parrish would no longer speak to me, have a technician or a manager call me they would only talk to my landlord. My landlord has now been calling Parrish for over a week, and there is still no contact from anyone at Parrish to accept responsibility for leaving my home a mess, for breaking the kitchen sink faucet or to find a solution to fixing the faucet. No one has apologized, no manager contact, no technician contact. Bottom line .... For anyone looking for professional service or any level of decent customer service from Parrish.... You are looking in the wrong place. If you expect a company to take responsibility for their work and ensuring customers are happy .... you are looking in the wrong place. I would not recommend or use this company as they are unable to follow up on phone calls within a two week timeframe, nor do they understand their responsibilities when they arrive at customer homes or how to resolve issues left by their own technicians. Literally any other company in the area would do a better job than this. Go anywhere else for service. As an update to my previous review and waiting two full weeks for any return call from Parrish Service ... Eileen McMann called today to let me know that "I was no longer welcome to call their company to find a resolution". I originally contracted with Parrish in February 2021 to investigate why were were not getting much heat from the zone of our two-zone geothermal HVAC that covers the top two floors of our town home. The tech, Joe, informed me that there was air in the line and the the auxiliary heat had not been wired appropriately when the system was installed in 2015. Joe returned when we were away (a neighbor kindly let him into our home) to determine what parts he would need to purge the system of air. At that time, he closed the valve that provides heated or cooled water (as the case may be) to the second floor air handler but never advised me of this. When we returned to the house a month or so later, the weather had turned warmer, and I turned on the AC. I then went to the basement for an unrelated reason and heard the water circulation pump for the upstairs air handler making and awful sound. It was also scalding hot. I immediately saw that the valve had been turned off (by Joe) and promptly turned off this zone. By this point, however, the pump was ruined. Parrish was good enough to replace the pump gratis, but Joe installed it improperly such that it leaked. He returned a few days later to reinstall it, but it continued to leak. Upon returning a 3rd time, he informed me that the fittings onto which the pump is bolted were no longer able to create a good seal and that the pump would continue to leak unless the manifold/plumbing was all replaced. The quote was $4800! I asked the owner, Alan Givens, to consider discounting that proposal a bit, given that his employee was in part responsible for having to replace the pump in the first place. No response. I called a few times and followed up with emails and was told that the matter was in the owner's hands and that customers were not permitted to speak directly to him. Finally, after inquiring yet again, I was told this morning that (1) the owner would not discount the $4800 proposal and (2) Parrish no longer wanted to work on the job. I have no air conditioning on the top two floors of my town home and have been left completely high and dry by this extraordinarily unprofessional company. When I learned that Givens was voted HVAC executive of the year recently, I was floored. His unprofessionalism in this matter is second to none, and I would strongly recommend never using this company for anything. read more

My original review said that Parrish had sold us a furnace that was the wrong size for our house, and that caused a fire hazard by constantly overheating. I was just cleaning out a drawer of paperwork and found evidence to the contrary, so I wanted to set the record straight: The furnace in question was in fact NOT sold or installed by Parrish, but by Sears. Parrish did nothing but good work for us in the several years we had contracts with them, and I apologize for saying otherwise. (As I am unsure at this point who did the bad thermostat rewiring, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on that one, as it may very well not have been them.) read more

Per the Yelp description, I'm giving Parrish service 2 stars because "Meh. I've experienced better" is the best description available. They're not terrible. They have, for five years, kept my HVAC system operational at reasonable prices. But they are far from great. I haven't had any major problems, but there have been numerous little problems and red flags. Most recently, a tech was doing a routine checkup on my furnace. It turns out, that a small piece of insulation got knocked loose and sucked into the furnace fan. The tech, I fully believe, was aware of the problem. He said he thought the system was running loud and that it seemed to be having problems pulling in enough air. He checked a couple things external to the unit. But he didn't open it back up to check anything out. Ultimately he decided there was nothing to fix, that his work was done, and that the unit was in fine working order. I don't know what they would have done to address this new problem had I raised it. I decided I was done dealing with them and I didn't want to let them back into my house. Also, I recently received an email from "the Service Manager" re: my prior yelp review. The manager wanted "to get additional information so that I can ensure that we correct any issues within the company to ensure that it doesn't happen again." I thought this was an empty gesture. My review, I thought, was sufficiently descriptive for them to see, understand, and fix what was wrong. If they really don't understand what they need to do to fix their problems, then they need to have themselves replaced. Moreover, I found the message to be insulting. They darn sure charge customers for their time, but they offered me no compensation for my time. Lastly, let me add a little data that I pulled up from Angie's list. For HVAC services, Parrish has 89 'A' reviews and 34 'F' reviews out of 176 total reviews. In comparison, John Nugent & Sons has 881 'A' reviews and 17 'F' reviews out of a total of 1007 reviews. I.e. nearly 10 times as many 'A' reviews and half as many 'F' reviews. If that doesn't scream "YOU CAN DO BETTER," I don't know what does. read more

We had a clogged toilet on the second floor. We tried to snake it ourselves with no luck. The suggested solution from Parrish was to go through the ceiling below and replace the pipe due to the way it was installed to the tune of $2,825. I foolishly accepted the proposal stating they would replace the damaged drain pipe; it was really to fix a clogged pipe. The work was to be done on another day. Not feeling right about the solution recommended, I contacted another plumber. We used Thrift Drain Cleaner which took care of the problem at a cost of about $300 for the Thrift, replacing the cracked flange and reinstalling the toilet. When discussed with Parrish, they stated by email, "We do not recommend anything over the counter ect as sometimes it doesn't work then it creates an extra trip for everyone and we look bad as a company in your case we are fixing damage. If you want to cancel this work, We do keep 15% of the total cost of the job." The 15% was plainly stated in the proposal and I didn't catch it. In a followup email, they stated. "To add more to my previous email the chemical you used may have temporarily fixed, but that doesn't mean there is not a issue, as professionals we are responsible for finding the route of the problem and making recommendations on how to fix that. We can do a second opinion if you like and if we find we were wrong we will reimburse otherwise those would be the charges." The Parrish statements are direct quotes, and not my written words. I was foolish for reacting so abruptly and not thinking things through, but feel like Parrish wasn't on the up and up with the way that fixing a clogged toilet was changed to fixing a damaged pipe. I have been a customer of Parrish for about 10 years. Over that period of time their level of service has consistently deteriorated. In 2009 they installed a new Trane HVAC unit in my home. From almost day one after the install the service techs that would come out to my house recommended that the unit should have a removable piece of PVC on the drain so they can clean it out and prevent a clog from flooding the basement. I queried them about why this was not a part of the install, and that if it was recommended by them now, it should have been installed with the unit. They make no apologies, only try to charge me to install this piece of PVC. The final straw came during my most recent service call. The technician said that my unit needed a coolant recharge, and the cost would be $414! He was basing his recommendation on the fact that the suction pressure saturation temp was 31.8 F. The unit had been and continues to operate normally. I called a different company out to check the unit, and they could not ascertain any need to recharge the system with coolant. Further this other company informed me that if the unit needed the amount of coolant that the estimate was charging me, that there would have to be a leak in the system, and that would be covered by the warranty. The bottom line is I would never trust Parrish to perform any work on my house. You should definitely look elsewhere. read more

I have used Parrish Services for work on my heating, AC, and backup generator for almost 2 years. Every visit has been prompt, professional, and helpful. They installed my backup generator (at a great price) and assure that it is functional if/when it's needed. On one occasion, I thought there was a leak in the basement from the AC condensate. The tech came right away, assured that the AC system was operating properly and took time to identify the source of the water (poor drainage/pooling against the foundation). They have gone above and beyond to explain the need for any repairs and how to maintain the systems for optimal performance. Costs are reasonable. This week I called because of allergies, suspecting mold in the heating system. The tech explained how the air scrubber works, gave a reasonable estimate, arrived the following day and installed it. 24 hours later, my health issues are 80% improved & I am thrilled. I have used other services in MD and IL and Parrish has been the most responsive and helpful by far. PS This review was unsolicited; I'm just very happy today with the most recent assistance they provided. read more

UPDATE: The 2nd technician replaced the mixing valve and the water heater started working again ... for 3 days. I got a call from Jason in customer service who told me that my water heater "had only been around for a year and a half" and he would send his "best technical guy" out, but "if he didn't know how to fix it, no one at Parrish would." Seriously? Let me state AGAIN that Parrish is the one that installed this water heater in the first place. Why sell a customer a piece of equipment that you can't service? Apparently I will now need to make ANOTHER appointment. I'm planning to have them call me when they're at my house since I'm not waiting around for another 4 hours to have someone NOT show up on time. read more

We have a pressurized toilet tank and my husband discovered a leak in the tank. Because of this leak, we discovered that the faucet to the toilet tank was broken and he didn't have the proper tools to fix it. He called Parrish to come and fix the faucet and remove the pressurized toilet tank so it could be replaced when the tank is shipped as there had been a recall on the tank. The guys came out within the hours that they quoted. I told them what needed to be done and they took a look at the issues. They gave me 3 sets of prices. One to fix the faucet ($267), one to remove the tank ($315) and another to come back and install the tank ($315). At first I thought the $315 is a combination of fixing the faucet and removing the tank, but I was told that it was in addition to fixing the faucet. So if they were to remove and install the pressurized tank for us, it would have been $630. The toilet itself cost less than that! My husband ended up doing the work himself. The guys did a good job fixing the faucet, but $630 is pretty much a price-gouging. We are thinking about canceling the service contract as it seems like Parrish is not interested in keeping a good relationship with the customers. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! My HVAC system was making weird noises and a block of ice had formed around one of the lines for the outside unit. My heating bill was over $400 which was about $200 above what it should have been for the time of year. We called Parrish Services and they sent out a service tech the next day. The tech said he was the "Senior" tech and after looking over my system he advised the repair cost would be about $4200 to fix the issue. He advised that I get a brand new system for $6000 as he couldn't guarantee that the repair would fix the issue....my HVAC units (outside unit and inside unit) were less than 5 yrs old (still under warranty) and he was aware of this. I consulted the company who had installed the system and they sent their service tech out the next morning. That company's tech looked over the system and said, "All you needed was refrigerant." The Parrish "Senior" tech was trying to fear monger me into paying $6000 for an issue that cost me less than $200 to repair. The HVAC system is now working perfectly and all it needed was REFRIGERANT. I waited over a month to write this and can verify that after the refrigerant was added my bill dropped by half and it was still during below freezing temperatures. My advice...get a second opinion. My HVAC system was less than 5 yrs old and I was told to replace it all. I can't speak to every situation, but in mine, Parrish was only concerned with selling me a new HVAC system and not actually helping lower my heating costs. I will never contact Parrish Services for HVAC assistance again. BUYER BEWARE! read more

We have had horrible service from Parrish from beginning to end. We are on Parrish's PSP (Priority Service Plan), but it is a complete waste of money...you're led to believe that you will get priority service, but you will still be waiting many days for a "technician" to show up. We will be canceling our PSP this coming Monday. Parrish has performed periodic A/C and Furnace service for us for a few years, and they routinely try to sell extra services that are not needed at these appointments. It's easy enough to read through their BS and politely decline these extras. In our experience over the years, they have some of the least competent technicians you will ever encounter. We have had two recent plumbing emergencies (clogged drains) where we made the mistake of calling Parrish for help. I kid you not, their plumber showed up to this appointment (two hours after the appointment window, by the way) without a snake. What the wha??? Don't they hand snakes out with your diploma when you graduate from plumbers college? After making another appointment with these imbeciles, the plumber managed to break the drain cover AND cause a major leak in the process of clearing the drain. Sadly, this is not the only frustrating and fruitless incident we've had with this very poorly run company. The quality of service is as low as it can go, which is completely insulting given the rates that they charge. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY AWAY FROM PARRISH! VERY POOR SERVICE! I would not have picked this company based on the Yelp rating, but AHSWarranty sent them for a second opinion. This was actually my FOURTH visit and FIFTH appointment. 1-3) United Air Temps had come 3 times - sending a senior tech the 3rd time. 4) Four Seasons had an appointment and didn't show. 5) Parrish finally comes. This guy did a thorough check, and figured out the problem: I had dirty coils. This is a simple problem to diagnose. Unscrew panel, look at coils, see dirt. He also preformed a leak test, which none of the other techs would do. Perhaps this is AHSWarranty policy dictating their behavior, but the test only took about an hour. Others have quoted me $1500 for the leak test -- wow, that's way too much. It's a $200 tool that they use to detect leaks. It shouldn't cost that much. Meanwhile, he also diagnosed that my system was overcharged -- too much refrigerant. (Because the other companies did not check for dirty coils, and that can give false-low readings on refrigerant levels.) Not only that, but if you have an AHSWarranty, their cost for cleaning coils is lower - $529 inside, $189 outside. (It's about double if you aren't an AHSWarranty customer, and another company had quoted me $800 and $400 on the same thing in the past.) My guy was named MATT. He was intelligent and articulate and actually knew what he was doing. He would answer questions that I asked, so that I was able to understand what was happening as it happened. It was a totally different experience from the last guy. Maybe some of the other bad ratings here are for other Parrish Services technicians, but MATT was stellar. -- UPDATE: Matt came back and cleaned our coils. It was even cheaper than we thought it would be, because we did an in-place cleaning. It stopped being hot and we barely used our system after the coils were cleaned. It SEEMED like it was better, but it may have just been the weather cooling off. Fast forward to the first cold day in October: Our unit is screeching, and only emergency heat is active. 10/22: We have Parrish come out AGAIN . Technician R Shipe. Removed excess refrigerant, 4-way valve was being bypassed in heat mode, after activating defrost control board. I guess my question is -- why were these things not checked out before? It then got warmer again, so we still haven't tested the heat yet. Basically, I'm not 100% sure this system has ever been fixed right. I'm not sure if the great priases I had early are still applicable or not. Matt did say something else would go wrong, so he called it... I guess the question is why can't these things all be checked out at once? Why did R. Shipe have to find things Matt didn't? I don't know. It could be something I don't understand, and I'm not trying to be a jerk about it. I just feel unease about the whole system. To be blunt, these guys are crooks. Like others, I had great service for my first few visits, but the final straw was trying to charge us $2000 to fix a 3 year old unit that THEY installed. A 2nd opinion found that the valve seals were not sealed properly (likely on install), and a 2nd opinion vendor took 2 hours to check our entire system and $104 to 'seal' the seals. It was mentioned that it's not an uncommon practice for some companies to 'install' things this way. My belief is that Parrish now operates on the "let's try to rip off all those people who live within the beltway" plan. Call them if you want, but don't be one of these idiots that just signs off on whatever they suggest. Watch what their tech does. When he spends an hour outside and you watch him talking on the phone for 45 minutes, you'll be more aware of how much time they actually put into your issue. I went back and reviewed every spring/fall service I got on their 'service plan' and couldn't find 2 invoices that showed they reviewed the same items...in other words, they have no standards for what your getting for a 'spring/fall service plan'. The final clincher was that they didn't offer us the Extended Warranty on the install, and refused to try to help us with that after this issue (again, unit is 3 years old). New vendor had no problem working with us to purchase the 10 year extended warranty through the manufacturer. Don't be fooled by their Better Business Bureau claims, BBB is nothing but a glorified mediation business with ZERO power to cause a company to do anything and the BBB standards for how you get A+ makes Olympic athletes from China look like the pinnacle of ethics. read more

I needed a new central air-conditioning unit and a friend at work recommended that I give Parrish a call. I can tell you that every interaction with this company has been nothing but first class. Starting with the customer service reps that I dealt with were great with working with my schedule. They then sent someone out to actually verify if I needed a new unit and to get the measurements for the install and lastly the install crew that came out was outstanding! The installers called before arriving and once they arrived they were very careful with my personal belongings and wore shoe covers the entire time. The entire install for a new outside unit and inside coil took about 5 hours. They worked very neat and took their time and did not rush the job. At the end the lead installer (Tim) walked me through all the work performed and educated me on how the new unit would operate. Everything looks neat and professional and I would not hesitate to use Parrish Services in the future. read more

I have used Parrish off and on for years and have sometimes had great luck, other times not. In general, I have decided not to use them anymore. I recently had a problem with our A/C. The tech Parrish sent out recommended an expensive diagnostic that might ultimately result in an expensive replacement of the entire system. A second opinion from another company found a very simple problem with a $100 solution. When I called to express my frustration I found the company to be defensive and dismissive. Beware! They use predatory practices to get you to agree to their services and their prices are astronomical. Had an emergency water heater flood at my house after hours. They pressured me into agreeing to an install for the next day without being able to review the invoice. They came out the next day and did the install (5 hours later than they said they would be there). Once I was able to review the invoice, I realized their price was $1000-$1500 more than other quotes I had received and they did not give me my 15% discount which I should have received for being an existing customer (which would've been about $550). When I spoke to manager Joanne to bring this to her attention, she was extremely rude and refused to refund me the discount I was owed. I asked to speak to the owners and she refused to pass my complaint any farther up the chain. Please avoid as you will deal with rude people and pay much more than necessary. read more
