Parlor Doughnuts is the best place to buy really unique donuts. There are a plethora of unique flavors. However, they are really sweet and a little goes a LONG way. When my wife and I stop in, we will buy two doughnuts of two different flavors, and split them. It is plenty of sweetness for one setting. Also, since these are very unique flavored donuts, you can get ready for a little sticker shock. Donuts cost roughly $4 each. It's a great treat. Today, we had a Cookies and Cream and a Sandy Beach. The Sandy Beach had a cinnamon roll flavor to it. Cookies and Cream is self explanatory. Both were delicious but again, definitely on the sweet side. The League City location is located on the Southeast corner of FM518 and I-45. If you're coming from the East end of League City, it's easier to turn left on Wesley and cut through the gym parking lot to make for easier access. Had never tried parlor doughnut before but heard they were giving out free donuts for the grand opening so I figured that would be the perfect time to try them. I ordered the turtle donut and an avocado breakfast taco with an açaí refresher to drink. The donut was just okay. I was expecting the texture to be similar to a traditional donut shop donut but it was more like croissant texture and the icing wasn't super sweet nor was the donut "glazed" like traditional donuts so that threw me off. I enjoyed the taco and the drink very much, the refresher was similar to the one at Starbucks and I like that this donut shop offers different food items and not just donuts. I also love that they offer something for our furry friends so I did buy a doggie donut to give my dog. He loved it. I went back a few days later to try another donut flavor since I had a coupon. I ordered the strawberry shortcake and it was DELICIOUS. I loved that it has whipped cream and real strawberries on top, just like strawberry shortcake. This just might be my new fav. I took my son and his friend here after a sleepover. They needed a boost after staying up way too late, haha. We ordered 4 donuts [pumpkin cheesecake, bourbon caramel, s'more, and churro], a honey cinnamon latte, and a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit but sub a croissant for the biscuit. We were in around 9a.m. and the case was looking pretty picked over but they still had a decent selection. I tried a bite of my son's churro donut and it was SOOO good. It was flaky and soft inside and slightly crispy on the edges just like a good churro should be. Overall, I find this place to be too sweet to make it a regular stop but it's perfect for a special/occasional treat. My latte tasted mostly like honey [can't taste the coffee] and my sandwich had some kind of jam on it which was good but I wanted savory and this pushed it towards sweet. The service at first seemed kind of slow while I was ordering but I think that was down to customers deliberating. They initially made my sandwich wrong, but told me to keep it and made me a new one free of charge when all I asked was them to take it back and put it on the right bun. My drink also took awhile and so [without any prompting or cajoling by me] she upgraded it to a large. Little mishaps happen everywhere, but making it right without having to be asked is exemplary and pushed this place into 5 stars for me. read more

As someone who would make Voodoo Donuts a frequent spot whenever I visited other states, these MONSTROUSLY sized delectables make me nostalgic in the best way possible! The layout is great with plenty of tables and the windows give the store a nice vibe. The stars of the show are the doughnuts but breakfast tacos and latte are as good. Absolutely delicious and amazingly patient and friendly. We were staying at Great Wolf Lodge and didn't feel like dropping $20+ each on ok food. After I left on my way to the airport I started eating them and they were loaded with cheese melted into the rest of the food so I had to throw them away. The bacon looked raw too. Doughnuts were super sweet, but good. $5 for a regular drip coffee (with tip) seems excessive. Service was apathetic and didn't listen to the order and I had to repeat myself. Went back up to ask for a refill on the drip coffee and had to wait almost 5 minutes while the employees were socializing. I asked for a refill and the worker had to go ask if he could do that (he was also training someone, and he didn't know what he was doing). I was told that they do not offer refills on coffee and he offered me another one for $5 more dollars. I declined. read more

I don't like being negative, but people should be aware of this before they choose this business. I have been to the League City location three times. The first time was soon after they opened. They were slow, but they were friendly and the donuts were very good. The coffee was okay. Then a few months later I went in again and the staff was slow, the tables had not been cleaned. Again the donuts were good, but there was just a couple of people in there and the service was very slow and not helpful. The third time was today. My husband, myself and a friend went in after church. We were the only people there. No one was behind the counter, you could hear people, but no service. We said "Hello" and soon a young girl came out to help us. We had to repeat our order several times, the bill was around 19 dollars, it was then that two more girls came out and helped her get the order ready. It took them about 10 minutes to get 2 donuts and 3 coffees ready; two coffees were fixed and when I asked for the third coffee, they were surprised, the order was incorrect. They fixed it and brought it out. Then two boys came out from the back, and they started all began to giggle and flirt with each other, One of the young men kept running his hands through his hair and then would handle the food items. I had to wipe down the table we sat at, and it was the cleanest one I could find. The floor was sticky, the bathrooms were dirty, the garbage cans were full. My wife and I being from the North, must share todays experience. It's been a long time coming, real top shelf yum every bite doughnuts. SERIOUSLY people, I really don't post but how can I not. This is not your same ole same ole grocery store so so neighborhood doughnut shop. This is the next best kept secret doughnut shop, and we have it right here in League City. Just when you think no one can re invent the doughnut. Bam They Did! Were talking multi variety layered doughnuts stacked with flavor. And to top it all off, the show stoper for me was the mini light and crispy beignet style w/ coconut flakes cream filled doughnuts. Followed with raspberry jam mini bombs. Totally delicious friends.
