Mrs. Linda's has the best donuts in all the greater Houston area. Specifically, Friendswood. She hasn't raised her prices in years and they're always hot and fresh. Store opens at 5am, we arrived at 7am. No Donuts. We were told they would be ready in 5 minutes. 1 tray came out, no raised donuts. I called kids over and said we would go elsewhere. The female behind the counter made a really snide remark as we were heading out. Then started ranting about how she works 365 days a year 12 hours a day. She is a caring lady who in small ways has reinforced a simple happiness in my life. She always asks about my work and schooling. Because she is a mom to our community. We came in here last Saturday morning at a few minutes past 6 AM. Most of the case was empty. I can understand coming in late and not having your product ready on time. That is totally understandable. Also, we have been coming here pretty regularly and found the service and product okay. However, they sold us 3 sausage kolaches (the cheese and sausage were either out or not made yet) that were so stale as to be totally inedible. These were day old kolaches. My daughter would not eat them. I thought she was perhaps being picky and then *I* tried to eat one. It was hard. Really, there is no excuse for selling stale kolaches at full price. We used to come here on a semi regular basis. We won't be coming back. There are plenty of other doughnut and kolache places to frequent. Avoid. I also want to say: if you are so desperate that you think it is okay to sell stale kolaches...open later! It is better to open late than to sell terrible food. Be honest. read more

These donuts are the best I've ever had in Texas! So soft! So yummy! I just wish there was a larger selection, but what they have is worth the trip. They have decent coffee, but like most South Texas donut shops, they don't put a lot of effort into presenting it; sugar or saccharine with powdered creamer. Yuck! They need real cream, blue, yellow, and pink sweeteners and ditch the paper Dixie cups. I'll Yelp them up more with five stars when I can get a my morning cup of coffee there too! read more
