I had a bridge replaced on my back teeth this afternoon by Dr. Ling and Joanne, and I wanted to recognize the exceptional care I received. Like many adults, I grew up with a genuine fear of going to the dentist due to difficult childhood experiences. Joanne was incredibly patient and took the time to ask thoughtful questions to understand my level of anxiety, which immediately helped me feel more comfortable. Dr. Ling explained each step of the procedure before moving forward, making sure I knew what to expect. His calm, unhurried approach made a tremendous difference, and I left the office completely pain-free. What impressed me even more was that a few hours after I got home, Dr. Ling personally called to check on how I was doing. That level of follow-up, compassion, and commitment to patient care is something you don't often experience and speaks volumes about the practice. I also want to recognize Cheri Villarreal. Cheri was my hygienist when I first moved to Houston, and I've followed her through the different dental practices where she's worked because she is simply outstanding. She knows me well, brings just the right amount of humor to help me relax, and isn't afraid to give me a little tough love when I'm not taking care of my dental health. Her genuine care and encouragement have made a lasting impact. Cheri is the reason I came to Parkway Modern Dentistry, and Dr. Ling, Joanne, and the entire office team are the reason I'll continue coming back. They have created an environment where even someone with a lifelong fear of the dentist can feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely cared for. I had an appointment for a cleaning last week. After being badgered by 2 or 3 dentists for about an hour - they wanted me to get several procedures including an extraction therefore a replacement costing thousands - I did not get my teeth cleaned. I walked out. Dishonest crooks, money hungry. The procedures are painful. I am 82, soon to be 83. The first lady - I don't believe she was my usual hygienist, gave me a nice fuzzy blanket, admired my nail polish - she was killing time for the dentist to get there. When I walked out I had 3 in the room! Never got my teeth cleaned, NEVER going back. read more

Best dentist ever! Best Halloween parties! Best Dental hygienists. I had sealants put on my kids teeth. They are 38 and 40 now and they still don't have tooth problems, no cavities and dentist still sees them on. Wow!! We always loved Erma too. Went to Dr Lepow for 40 years before moving to Oklahoma. I would def recommend him and his staff. I wish I could give Lepow a huge hug and tell him how much I appreciate him all those years. read more

My first experience was 2023. I get nobody likes the dentist but i felt the hygienist was unnecessarily bossy and then got sassy when i asked if she changes gloves after typing on the computer DURING the assessment. (Obviously ur using the same gloves and sticking ur fingers in my mouth, its a valid question!) She didnt like me calling it out. Got past it, but cmon. I also felt that the chairs were quite old and appeared dirty. Dr Ling is adorably awkward but he did a great job on fillings. Fast fwd 2024 cleaning, i end up killing a massive fly the size of a quarter that i saw land on the little tool tray as soon as i sit down. Like quarter size huge! Horse fly huge. I washed my hands and Taryn grabbed another tool set. During the cleaning I stare at 2 more HUGE flies on the ceiling light while my mouth is open. Then one flies straight into my face!! I jolted out of chair hitting my leg on that dang chair pole. Taryn was super polite, gave me first aid. We changed rooms. I also asked to see Dr Cavazos and they still put me with Ling so theres that. This place needs attention to infection control and environment of care practices. Nice ppl, but i dont want to have to ice a huge knot on my leg bone after going to the dentist and be stressed that a gigantic fly nearly flew in my mouth during a procedure. Bleh. read more

Was a patient for ten years. Even had braces there. Dentists are great. Front office not so nice. They put on a show for the dentist but sarcastic to patients. Maria specifically. Fake voice. Pushes you to keep an appointment that you just can't get to. I don't drive I explained and she could care less. Told me four times I had to pay a $50 cancellation fee. I said repeatedly that was fine. She still pushed me. I canceled and will not be back. read more

Absolute crooks!!! Took $18,000 from me for implants. Put me in temporary appliances and bailed. Then sold the business and will not provide a solution. Been three plus years now and repeated conversations with Dr Lepow. Several bounced checks. Absolute crook, doesn't care, has revolving door of dentist's due to this. read more

Love this place! Dr. Cavazos started the process, and Dr. Lepow did the work on the underlying cavity, and crown to sit on it. Dr. Lepow called to check on me that evening, as I have TMJ and it's difficult for me. It's always been difficult to find a caring dentist that can assist with the TMJ. I highly recommend the entire staff - from techs to admins to dentists!!! It's the best place for a chickeny-type chicken to have dental work done. :) read more

My daughter and I received excellent care! The staff was so nice and accommodating, the office was very large and clean. What I really liked is that while getting a cleaning they talk you through it and explain everything, instead of sit back and listen to all of these power tools lol. They also offer FREE one hour massage when we refer somebody which is the cherry on top! Dr. Lippo was very fun and nice. We will def be back! read more

I've been going to Dr. Lepow since I was 7 yrs old. I won't say how many years that's been or that'll give you my age. ;-) My daughters also go there and actually enjoy visiting the dentist. My hygienist, Cheyenne is awesome! She always does a thorough cleaning and is very personable. The waiting room is comfy if you arrive early and the office staff always make you feel at home. Awesome service I am glad I found a dental office my daughter & I both agreed on the entire experience, informative, friendly from the Dentist to the Receptionist. The Dental hygienist Cheyenne did an awesome job deep cleaning my teeth. The before and after pictures were amazing. My daughter appreciated that it was her first dental appointment at a different time than mom so I was not there to speak for her so she had to speak up as an adult without mom and she was treated as an adult they took her time to explain everything that was going on with her fixed retainer. I was unfortunate to have Dr. Kenneth Lepow to work on my teeth. It was an absolute nightmare. He made 4 attempts to put 3 permanent crowns on my tooth #18, all went wrong. A lot of time wasted, and a lot of pain in between the attempts. Dr. Lepow consistently blamed on my tooth. He obviously did not want to take the responsibility for his failure. More money was wasted on a night guard he recommended to fix the pain caused by his crown. Dr. Lepow recommended to do a root canal on the tooth to kill the pain, though I refused. It turns out nothing was wrong with the tooth. Having another dentist to make a new crown solved the problem. No night guard was necessary. No tooth canal needed either. No more money for Dr. Lepow either. read more

Was in Houston looking at homes and had set up appointments for cleaning, consultation and facial esthetics with this office. Was very impressed and expectations were exceeded. Dental hygienist, Cheyenne, was very thorough, gentle, patient, and kind. Assistant, Vanessa, was great also. Dr. Cavazos did not find any existing plaque when Cheyenne was finished. Dr Cavazos brought up a potential problem from a former root canal that my multiple former dentists had never brought up, even though it is clearly visibly even from my eyes; and something that can obviously lead to an expensive failure in the future. He was not pushy - but gave list of recommendations in order of importance. He took the time to answer my questions and procedures required. His expertise and knowledge were very reassuring. His assistants, Georgina and Ronny were excellent also. Gina was great at the front desk also. I totally love the fact that Dr. Cavazos has provided free care for patients in dire need rather than letting them walk away in pain. When you have run into dentists and labs that have to redo and redo and redo: and ones that you find out the dental hygienist cleaning your teeth was really an un-qualified dental assistant, and hear the horror stories of unessesary deep cleanings and work being recommended- you can never be too cautious. I have full confidence in Cheyenne and Dr. Cavazos being honest with gentle, caring, patience; and most of all the expertise and integrity. They definitely go above and beyond! Dr. Leepow has done an excellent job in creating a beautiful office and environment with full service and wonderful staff. Was worth the time and trip - and I will be back! Susan read more
