I really like Dr Lagaly and the Personnel at Active Life Dentistry except for the front desk. I tried calling multiple times to make an appointment and every time it goes to voicemail where they ask you to leave a message. That's fine except that they never return your message so it's extremely hard to make an appointment for this location. I ended up calling the Jones Road location just to make sure the Skinner Road location was still in operation and the sweet girl that answered the phone by the name of Lexi said that she would make the appointment with them for me. read more

Upon getting my cavity filled, I was informed the price would be 150 dollars total. After I got my cavity's filled while my mouth was absolutely numb I approach the counter and the total turned to be 262. Not an issue with money at all but don't you think it's kind of inconvenient when I'm told something and they up the price? After paying I called and said I need my money back and they said they made a mistake. Now my money won't be back for another 7-10 business days. This all could've been completely avoided. read more

I was there today to get started with a crown. For many years all I have needed was cleaning, so, needless to say, I was nervous. I should not have been. With Dr. Leslie Norwood, everything went smoothly and I do not have to worry about my tooth cracking. I go back in a couple of weeks for the permanent crown. Everybody there is always so nice. I have been going to ALD for a LONG time. I only changed to Jones Rd when my husband was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. I did not want to be away from the house for too long, so I switched from Skinner Rd. I was happy there also, but this is so much closer to home. read more

Dentist are great, the unfortunate problem is you have to deal with the office staff to get to the dentist. Last year, before Covid the crab at the front desk wanted to blame me, then argue about some scheduling conflict they had. Whatever. I explained to the crab, that I have a wife who handles ALL scheduling.. Duh..Then today, the broad "at the front desk"??? wanted to argue with my wife about about x-rays??? This trailed onto supervisor and office manager. Circle the wagons and protect your co-workers and dont dare let the dentist catch wind of the situation. Fingers pointed in every direction accept where they should have be. Hope the dentists get wind of this now. There is a serious management issue that allows such poor customer service the front desk of a business that deals with the public. There is only a limited amount of time any businesses doors will stay open with that kind acumen. I never post reviews. This is one of those fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I will never return to this dentist office again and I would strenuously suggest that you not subject yourself and your family to this type businesses customer service. This is a service company, with good dentists and deplorable management and office staff. Such a shame. No response from this business on Google should steer you anywhere, but away from this dentist office. The office staff and management toxic and give new meaning to the term, "Bad Customer Service" Their are too many great dentist offices out there to waste another minute with this one and I guarantee, I won't ever give another business a second shot at poor customer service, like I allowed this one. read more

Been a patient for over 25 years and just retired and had an upcoming appointment and stop by to ensure they took my new Aetna coverage and they informed me that they don't deal with anything to do with Aetna or Medicare supplement. Didn't even want to discuss other possible payment. Wow felt like an bucket of dish water being thrown out. Not even a sorry just a number to them thanks for making me feel so loved! read more

I was able to get an appointment soon. I didn't have to wait long once there. The staff was friendly, competent, and informative. The dentist took the time to explain everything and give me options. I was also able to get the dental work done in the same visit. I can't say the actual visit was pleasant... bc well... I had dental work. They did what they could to make it tolerable. I've been coming here for about 5 years and never once thought to check in to help spread the news on this fantastic office. They are always sweet, punctual (never been more than 5 minutes late for an appt), and professional. The docs are young and approachable. The hygienists are super and the office is clean. My hygienists remember me by name and all the little details of my life which makes me feel special. She may have a chart with everything in there, but at the moment it feels good when they want to check up with you and can remember 6 mo old info. I moved here from Austin, and I did quite a bit of research looking for a good dentist on my insurance and near me. I landed with Dr. Lagaly at Active Life Dentistry. I had been with my previous dentist over 20 years, so the new dentist had huge shoes to fill. Was I lucky! Dr. Lagaly is a skilled professional with the nicest bedside manners. He is considerate of your pain! He is also so approachable. His prices are great, and I was able to go get implants done, and have the teeth fitted by him. His staff is super nice, efficient, and on time. Dr. Lagaly is also kind and sweet which is a huge bonus. Above all, he is skilled. I trust him! read more

This was our first time at this dentist office. They have a large waiting area with a TV. The two ladies at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. So far so good. The hygienist was young and very professional. They take X-rays with this gun looking device. Nice upgrade. Dr. Lagaly was very engaging and made me feel at ease which is not easy when sitting in the chair. Overall, glad we chose this offie. read more

This is not a good place...I'm appalled how awful I was treated today by the front desk staff. I was treated awful and beyond unprofessional today. I pray that other families are not getting treated this way. First off the dentist are great, the problem is the front desk staff and managers who are in charge of scheduling and the front desk staff. I was harassed over Xrays that weren't necessary. When telling them I will hear from the dentist weather or not my family needs Xrays or not, the front desk lady went on to tell me I had to get them or my dentist wouldn't see me, I know that isn't true. The behavior was unkind and unprofessional and in regards to Xrays for next year. Argumentative and very hostile. After going home and waiting on my same day appointment for my teenagers, I decided the dentist and office manager needed to know how unkind I was treated. As I'm on the phone with the office manager, she stated after I was telling her how unprofessional her coworkers were, she said maybe you should just find another dentist. Beyond upset and how disrespectful this place is. I said absolutely not, we happen to love our dentist there. She refused to relay any messages to let the dentist know anything about how ugly i was treated over Xrays. I get a call back right before my teenagers appointment from another lady saying they canceled my appointment with my dentist. Not one office person had any questions nor care at all how unprofessional and God awful I was treated simply over Xrays. This has to stop and the dentist need to know what they are doing. They are awful to deal with. This isn't the first time. They are very difficult when come to scheduling and will argue with you. Seriously at a dentist office. I pray for Chris Blume to get this review. I know he wouldn't allow his office staff to continue to treat families in this manner. I don't recommend this place after years of going there. The staff has driven my family of 4 away. They are not kind people. read more
