The moment I walked in, the beautiful lobby and welcoming staff immediately shifted the tone. A.D., the dental assistant, called me back and introduced herself with such warmth that my guard began to lower. Our conversation felt natural and calming, which helped me relax before the appointment even began. Then I met Corey, the dental hygienist. When he spoke, I noticed his accent and asked where he was from. When he said Memphis, I smiled instantly--because I'm from Memphis too, born and raised. That small moment of connection turned what could have been a stressful appointment into something much more human. Corey listened as I shared my past dental concerns and experiences. I put off getting it replaced by a bridge/implant simply because of the expense and because I didn't know who to trust. Fast forward to a few months ago, my stepdad's brother, a seasoned dentist but not an oral surgeon, recommended Cypress Oral to suit my predicament. I couldn't be more grateful that I went with his recommendation! Dr. Price and Dr. Michael both took excellent care of me from the moment I met them, as if they were doing a favor for their own nephew! Wow! They are both very knowledgeable about their expertise and covered things I didn't even see mention of in my research. I was nervous about the issue of price and potential complications, but they didn't pressure me in anyway, just kindly informed me of my best option, which for me was the implant. They eased a lot of my anxiety about the whole process. The staff quoted a much better, reasonable price than I was given at other practices. Hardly common these days, these folks actually care more about their patients than their revenue! What's more, both Dr. Price and Michael went above and beyond to help me out in what for me had been a hard time financially. Thank you so much! So I took the chance and I'm so glad I did! The E.F."estimated fee" is dropped to $30.00. Amazon sells it for $15.80 with out insurance! The 3M PerioMed U.C.F. is $354, E.F. (what I paid) is $30. Again Amazon's price with tax, is $15.14! So I shelled out $62.48 (tax included). That's a $31.54 markup! There are other areas where I am not satisfied with some charges billed. Do the overcharges merit the otherwise satisfactory services performed? Doubtful, I shall soon see. But I hope some adjustments will be made to a more reasonable total.

Their staff is always friendly, they are affordable, and they have an amazing dentist, Dr Rehman. Recently, a dental repair quickly became a stressful event when what I thought would be a new crown became the first tooth I've had pulled. Dr Rehman provided a warm and peaceful atmosphere that served to quickly calm my nerves. He did a really great job managing my pain during the procedure to remove the remainder of my top rear molar. Granted, my pain tolerance is very high, but the moment it started to break through he was on top of it. He uses a technique of tapping between the eyebrows when injecting the lidocaine that is blissfully distracting. His communication throughout was helpful, and even when my roots started to be a concern (huge root pointing in the wrong direction), he kept his patience intact and persevered. (I'll add a pic as the first comment.) Thank you Dr. Rehman for demonstrating empathy and desire to ensure I was comfortable. Not a lot of dentist have that ability and it really can't be taught.

On top of that, they tried to pressure me into getting new X-rays even though my previous X-rays were taken less than six months ago. When I questioned the need for additional X-rays, they continued pushing for them and ultimately refused to perform my scheduled teeth cleaning because I declined. Another concern is the constant staff turnover. Over the years, I've had three different hygienists, which makes the office feel very inconsistent and unorganized. Overall, the experience felt more focused on upselling services than patient care. I'll definitely be finding a new dentist.
