I wish there was an option to award more stars for going above and beyond! I brought my 2006 Honda Accord in for a transmission flush, but after finding out they do more than just transmissions, I've had my oil and filter changed, brakes serviced, and my radiator and fan replaced. Park's Transmission truly does it all and is either competitive or beats the competition. Eddie has gone above and beyond every time I've come in for help with my car. Kind and easy to talk to!!! I highly recommend Park's Transmission for all your car care needs. -Erik read more

I had a really good experience with Park's Transmission. I brought in my 2010 Mercury Milan because it was jerking, not accelerating properly, and felt unsafe to drive. They took the time to properly diagnose the issue and explained everything clearly without trying to pressure me into repairs. Unfortunately, the problem turned out to be internal transmission damage, and they were honest in letting me know the repair would be expensive and might not be worth it for my car. I really appreciated the transparency instead of being pushed into a costly fix. On top of that, they worked with me on the diagnostic fee, which shows they actually care about their customers. If you're looking for a shop that's honest, knowledgeable, and straightforward--especially for transmission issues--I'd definitely recommend them. read more

My Service Engine Soon light came on unexpectedly, so I called Eddie and he was able to fit me in quickly. Moises hooked up the scanner and obtained a P0101 code, which indicated a faulty Mass Air Flow Sensor. He and Eddie said they could reset the alert, but it might return. I asked them to proceed with replacing the sensor and the car's been running smoothly. The customer service was excellent and I was even dropped off and picked up at my residence by Eddie. read more

Wednesday 12/11/24, I brought my 2013 Kia Optima into Park's Transmission because my brakes were making a horrible grinding sound. I walked in and was immediately greeted and escorted to Eddie's office. He informed me that they would assess my car and give me a call back regarding the price. I went home and was promptly called back and informed of what needed to be done (new rodars and brakes pads). We agreed on a price of $945, and just about 2 hours later, the job was completed! He called and offered to have someone pick me up from my house since it was a 30-minute walk. Upon arrival, he showed me my original rodars and even gave me advice on how to make my oil change visits less frequent in the future. I have been driving my car around now for a few days and have no issues! I appreciate the professional and efficient business and will certainly be returning for any future mechanical necessities! Thank you! read more

Hi All Since the owner had my earlier review deleted, I am going to keep this one short. Glad I was asked to remove my car from their shop and not spend a dime here, I dodged a bullet. This business was recommended to me because my check engine light was on and the gentleman who gave the recommendation had glowing accolades about them. I took my car to them the same day and they analyzed the problem. Eddie gave me detailed information about the diagnosis and didn't speak to me in a condescending way because I am a woman. He gave me an estimate to fix the problem. He kept me informed during the entire process and even fixed the problem well below the estimate. Steve worked tirelessly to save me money. He is an amazing mechanic. I can't say enough about this business. I told Eddie that I would most definitely comeback for all my mechanical needs on my Audi! I could really give them 10 stars if it was possible!! read more

After being told by every Ford Dealership in Southern California that they couldn't look at my transmission for 3-4 weeks, Park's looked at it same day. Called for a quote on a transmission flush, fill, and filter. Asked a couple questions about if they use Lexus fluid, paper or liquid gasket on the pan, or if they replace the drain plug crush washer. The man simply replied "I think you should go elsewhere" and hung up the phone. Kind of strange that he didn't want someone with car knowledge coming to the shop. Horrible business practice. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I came to Eddie a couple of months ago with a problem with my car's clutch. I had my car towed there, since the problem was so bad; therefore Eddie knew I wasn't in a position to shop around with other mechanics since I couldn't keep towing it to different places. He told me it would be $2,700 to fix the problem. This was a HUGE amount of money for me, and it was slightly greater than the blue book value of my car. I was upset but decided to have the work done and just get this problem out of the way and to avoid having to buy a new car. I handed over the $2,700 cash when the work was done, and tried to drive home. I didn't even make it to the end of the block before realizing the car had THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM as when I first brought it in. I immediately brought the car back and explained the issue. Eddie called me back and said it would be an extra $550 to buy another part and finish the job! Insane. I told him that was too much money and he should fix the car for the original price, since he obviously hadn't dealt with the problem I told him about. Eddie called me back with another offer of $350, acting like he was doing me a favor. I felt like I had no other options, and I needed a car so I could get to work. I begrudgingly agreed to pay the extra $350-totaling a ludicrous $3,050 for the whole job. I picked the car up again, and it still had problems. It shifted very roughly, and after driving on the freeway a warning stated "transmission overheating--pull over". I brought the car to Eddie a third time and told him exactly what happened. Eddie had the nerve to tell me there was no problem with the car, and said I should take a picture the next time the warning light comes on. He blamed the design of my car's transmission, claiming that the design "just sucks" and the functionality could never be improved. After spending over $3k, my car was still not safely drivable. It shifted badly every time I drove it, and I was afraid to drive anywhere far from home in case the transmission overheated again. The poor shifting and transmission light was not an issue before bringing the car to Eddie. It was all just a huge waste of money. I tried getting my money back by selling the car, but the highest offer I could find was from Carmax--for only $800! Their staff test drove my car and could immediately tell that it had transmission issues. I can't believe how much money I wasted at this place. I am financially devastated. I can't believe Eddie and his staff tried to tell me the car was fixed when really it wasn't. Photos include the initial cost of the repair (Eddie gave me no documentation of the extra $350), as well as the meager offer from Carmax and acknowledgement of transmission issues. I wish I could go back in time and steer clear of Park's Transmissions. Please don't make the same mistakes I did. Edit: I forgot to mention that during this ordeal, Eddie ruined my relationship with my previous mechanic. While my car was at Parks Transmissions, Eddie called me and told me that my previous mechanic lied to me about replacing one of the clutch actuators a few weeks earlier. He sent me photos of the part and explained that it was worn down and not a new part. He told me to call my mechanic and ask what happened. I was very upset and called my mechanic and explained the situation. They were offended at being accused of wrongdoing and even offered me a refund for the work. They stated that they definitely replaced the clutch actuator and would even give me security camera footage of the work being done if I wanted to see it. Eddie called me back and said he made a mistake--the clutch actuator was new, and it just looked worn down because of the design. I was beyond frustrated. Now my relationship with my previous mechanic has been soured just because Eddie didn't know what he was talking about. read more

I had a quote on a 2019 hyandai kona Transmission about to stop working. The hyandai dealer made me a very high quote, Eddie gave me a competitive quote and replaced the Transmission for less . He fixed other things to make the car even safer, and gave me solid advise on getting the car bought back thru The Lemon Law so because of his professional skills in repair, knowledge of how to really help the consumer, and his above and beyond customer service. I was referred to them by my mechanic and I admit was skeptical at first, but felt more assured after reading the positive reviews about them. Whenever it comes to transmission issues the outcome is usually very expensive from my experience so I was bracing for the bad news. I took my car in and was immediately greeted by Steve. He then hooked up the diagnostics device and showed me the results. He said that he would first recommend trying the less expensive option first to see if it would fix the problem. It involved replacing the gear switch. The price seemed very reasonable so I agreed. He said that hopefully that would work, but if it didn't then I would be looking at getting a new transmission. He seemed honest, but you can never tell with mechanics so I was hopeful, but cautious. The next day I got a call from them telling me that the transmission issue was fixed! I felt so grateful that they were able to fix it and that they didn't try to take advantage of me. I would wholeheartedly recommend taking your car there. They are honest and will only do the service required at fair prices. I get so tired of the mechanics and dealerships who are constantly overcharging and over recommending when we are in a tight spot. read more

Absolutely recommend! I was nervous going to the mechanic for the first time by myself, my boyfriend had to work. I spent two days researching and reading reviews, it all narrowed down to Park's Transmission. This is my first car and it scared me that I was having engine issues in 2 months since buying her. I spoke with Eddie via emails and he responded within the hour I sent a request for a quote on a diagnostic. Everywhere else wanted almost $200 just to LOOK at my car. The diagnostic is free and precise too! After that, it is up to you if you want them to work on it or go your own route for repairs. He was honest and fair about what needed to be done and the price. Turns out I didn't need a whole new engine (that's what I was afraid of, she stalled out twice) and only an issue with my emission; she wasn't getting air or proper fuel. He saved me hundreds of dollars on repairs and my car runs better than before :) my boyfriend even says "I know where I'm going for my repairs if anything happens to my car" These guys are polite, honest, and efficient! Thank you so much, I will definitely be back to get any of my repairs, and I need an oil change soon! You need proper repairs AND great service AND nice people? Go to Park's Transmission! read more

When I visited Parks today for a transmission drain and replacement, I dealt directly with Steve and Eddie. Both were incredibly nice and transparent guys. Another mechanic in town said that I could drop my car off and he might be able to get to it today. When I took it into Parks to see if I could get it done quicker, Steve said it would probably take an hour. I was there in less time. Felt like I was in and out and the bill was much less than what I was quoted by the other shop. It's a long story about my transmission, but I was given an error code and was quoted by another mechanic to fix it at a price I couldn't afford. I told Steve that despite the error code I wanted to get the fluid drained and replaced because I had been negligent on this and had read that replacing the fluid might help. Steve emphasized that it might help or could possibly make things worse, something I had also read. But since I couldn't afford to have the transmission worked on, I was insistent on getting it done and dealing with the consequences. After test driving the car, Steve was comfortable with changing the fluid. When they were done, I was shown how dirty my transmission fluid was which stressed to me the importance of changing out the fluid regularly. No doubt, I'll be returning to Parks to have this done. At the end when I was checking out, Eddie went out of his way to make sure I got the promotional interest deferment plan on my Synchrony card. Afterwards, I took my car out on the highway where the car had previously been alerting me to transmission problems. So far, no alerts and the car is running smooth. All around great experience this morning. read more

Park's Transmissions came to my knowledge through my regular mechanic Spencer, who recommended them to me for head gasket repair on my 2012 Challenger. I had my car towed to Park's, and Eddie and Steve took excellent care of me. Eddie was kind enough to take me to the rental location and assured me I'd have an estimate by end of day, which I did. My car was in the shop for close to 10 business days and Eddie kept me in the loop the entire time. I highly recommend this business for your transmission and auto needs. Both Steve and Eddie were so helpful! 10/10 would recommend. I have a 2002 Audi A4 Quattro which is stick. My clutch was pretty much done for, I took it to 4 other places who in which laughed at me when I asked if they could change the clutch. I finally found Park's Transmission where Steve took a look and said he could get it done! While changing the clutch & flywheel Steve noticed that my clutch master cylinder wasn't able to pass oil through, therefore lack of pressure not being able to compensate for the upgraded clutch I had them install. Eddie gave me a call to tell me the news and I gave them the a ok to also replace that as well! In addition to all the hard work they put in they also gave me a FREE oil change as well as a car wash! One thing I REALLY liked was how Eddie sent me photos of damaged part on the car compared to the new one that's being installed. I'm currently in the process of a complete build and big turboon my Audi so I REALLY appreciate the whole team for being communicative and fair priced through out me trying to get my baby at 100% I will continue to use Parks Transmission for all my transmission, clutch, water leak issues! read more

Let's be honest, unless you are a mechanic or under warranty from your manufacturer, nothing but PANIC and STRESS is what comes to mind when needing repairs or even just a tune up. My mom recommended I come here, said they were the best, most honest, fare and nicest guys ever. Now that may sound dramatic but folks she wasn't lying. Dropped my Jeep off on a Friday morning for a "I know work needs to be done but I don't know just how much needs to be done, 50,000 mile service" and by Saturday morning it was ready for pick up. New brakes, oil change and filter, tire rotation, air filter, and here is the kicker... spark plugs and valve cover. Well so we thought... Steven and Eddie worked their magic and found the parts for hundreds less and replaced it all just to find out it wasn't the whole assembly it was just the gasket... did they charge me for the whole thing... NOPE... just what I actually needed even though they had already done the work. Talk about honest and fare. Thank you so much guys!!! I will be back and I will be recommending any and everyone that I can! Let me also not forget to mention that communication with them is top notch.... Never have to wonder what's going on, how long, have I been forgotten about, or about any surprise fees that weren't discussed with you ahead of time! Folks, THIS is THE PLACE to take your car for repairs beyond transmission work as well. A friend of our family who retired from his own auto shop looked at my car and made one call - Park's Transmission. Steve at Park's said bring it in with an understanding that the issue was the oil pan seal and his quote for that was a very fair $1200 as this is a 4WD and the engine needs to be lifted to to the job. Well, it turns out the oil leak was actually coming from from the oil filter assembly seal and I got out of there for under $290! You know a fairly priced, honest and competent shop is a treasure to find and I am just the most recent reviewer to come here to share this news.
