Sunoco off of Ladson road is in a very safe area of town. Moreover it's extremely easy to get in and out of in a relatively fast manner. Inside is wide open and relatively clean. While I didn't go through all the isles, it's better than some gas stations where you feel a bit antsy. The shelves are stocked with plenty of snack selections. Also for those who are "Mt Dew" nutcases like me, they have the exclusive Infinite Swirl in their fountain machine. Trust me - get it, it's awesome As for the employees the clerk was pretty nice and fast. I didn't inspect the bathrooms so nothing there to report. Also, I can't speak on gas b/c I didn't fill up. That means I'm not sure about pump speed, if they have window washing units or an air tank. But if you're just needing to stop on in, there should be no issues.

The coffee station has many options, including a variety of cold creamers kept in a cooler for customers to use. I don't normally try grab and go breakfast options from gas stations, but decided to here and have not been disappointed! They also offer food made to order, and there is an outdoor seating area.

I paid for $20 worth of gas and didn't think I had to check my gas gage to make sure the gas went in the tank. So I pumped the gas and pulled off got on the interstate and happened to look down and then realized that my gas gage never moved. I'm thinking my car's gage is messed up and nope I paid for $20 worth of air in my tank. Couldn't very well go back because I already drove about 10-15mins down the road and didn't think they would honor it. So I took that loss and decided to give them another chance. It happened again, but this time I checked before I even fully cranked my car up. So they did honor it this time and I've been coming back for all my needs since. Also, I drive for a living so I frequent all kinds of gas stations, but I try my best to find a Parkers before others. I really like the atmosphere in most of them, but not all. I've come across some truly mistreated ones. The College Park Rd one is by far my favorite out of all of them. I believe it starts with the management at any work environment to have a very good work environment. If the employees are treated right and with respect, but also held to a certain standard then they'll do the job and want to show up and be respectful to Everyone. The manager over the College Park store is really awesome I see her working right along with her employees, talking to them about whatever they need to talk about or what needs to be done and so on. I've watched her run the kitchen, work the floor, train employees, take deliveries all while talking to the customers and helping them during the process or her staff will jump right in and take over whatever she needs them to. They're all a truly wonderful team in that store and I always recommend the store to anyone whom may ask or don't ask I tell them anyway to go to the Parkers on College Park Rd you'll be happy with the service and the cleanliness. Parkers just FYI that's one manager that you need to hang on to at all cost because she knows what she's doing and she does it very well! If I had a business to get in shape and keep in shape I'd steal her in a heartbeat! Sincerely, A Very Satisfied Customer SR

We visited Konoha after the inaugural Summerville Japanese festival because we were looking for…read moreJapanese themed foods (everything at the festival was sold out when we got there due to crowds). Everyone else in Summerville had the same idea because the store was PACKED. It is also authentic- It felt like I was back in a Japanese "kombini" or convenience store. This store doesn't have everything that a kombini has, but they have ALL THE SNACKS! They also have egg salad sandos, onigiri, and other fresh foods. You need to time your visit around when those items are restocked so you don't miss out. We arrived about an hour after the items were stocked and they were out of several things and almost out of others. I got an egg salad sando and it reminded me so much of Japan. The bread wasn't EXACTLY the same, but for $5.99 and not having to fly across the world, I'll take it. The onigiri tasted almost exactly like a Japanese kombini, although you do have to assemble it a little. I'll definitely be back, and I wish we could get another location in the Charleston area. Japanese culture is popular and fun, and I would love to see more businesses like this that are centered around other countries and cultures.

To put it into context, this isn't an "Asian market" or "Asian…read morefood store", it recreates the feel of an Asian konbini (Asian convenience store, like a 7-11 or a Lawson's). Instead of hot dogs and hot pizzas they have onigiri (rice balls) and curry bowls, plus an array of beverages and a smattering of stuff you might need to just run out for real quick like cooking ingredients (think spice mixes not milk or eggs or produce or meat), a few body care and stationary items. My kids of course had a great time and unlike, say, H&L they had helpful signs for every item explaining what it was and what it tasted like. Prices were fair and inline with my expectations and experiences. This isn't stuff being shipped from overseas in large quantities for mass distribution so I expect it to cost more than US equivalent. Overall I liked the selection here and the only time I have seen some of these items for sale in person was in Asia. My onigiri was excellent too! Nice shop and I am glad I came out! J.Ja
